for a while now our Pleo seems to be in a bowing position. If we flip him on his back his legs will straighten briefly, but as soon as we set him back on his feet they immediately go back to bent. He probably hasn't taken a step in weeks even though he responds to attention normally. The Pleo button doesn't seem to have any effect at all. Help! We miss him! :o

This is going to sound very painful, but you may need to manually reset the leg positions, when Pleo is turned off try clicking each leg back to straight and see if that helps.

are there any diagrams of the gears online now that the ugobe site is down ???

hey hes acting way better . if you put your finger in front of the camera he acts regular but does not move legs well moves legs but not walk :)

Thats a little... odd :P The camera shouldn't have anything to do with it :P
Did you try clicking the legs back manually? You could also try getting your Pleo to sit... (hold the chin and back at the same time)
For the gears try here : http://www.pleo-toy.co.uk/2008/01/inside-pleo.html

Hi AdornArts, Have you tried any of the skits with an sd card? You would at least know if it is a program problem or not.
