Hello,
My PLEO rb was about a week old and functioned great until it started having the following problems:
1) The pleo rb will start and move, make noise, for a second - freeze for about a minute - start again for a second - then freeze again.
2) I cannot turn the battery off.
I have emailed with the company. They were insistant it was a firmware problem and they sent me firmware to install.
I installed said firmware with a mini-usb. No change in pleo rb problem.
I don't know what to do at this point.
Any suggestions?

I would go back to Innvo again and let them know that you tried what they suggested and it didn't work. I'm sure this will just be the first thing that they wanted to try but they will have other options for you to get the problem solved. Don't give up yet, I'm sure they will be able to help you fix it or if not they will replace you pleo.

Yea, they said to mail it back for repairs.
Are they going to make me pay for the shipping back too? Jerks.
-
That is very unfortunate, I hate to say this, but with a spate of problems lately ai have to say quality control seems to be slipping over at Innvo.

As for having to pay shipping cost for the repairs your best bet is to keep your cool, be polite and ask them if they will cover the postage costs. They have covered the postage costs for others in the past so they may well do so for you also. You just need to ask. I know just how disappointing it is to have your pleo break down after only a week. Innvo will sort this out for you. Just keep your chin up, I'm sure you can get it sorted out.

Yes, for the cost of this toy they should be replacing it immediately.

This may well be a stupid question, but can I just ask how you installed the firmware via mini-USB? I was not aware of any USB that would fit at the same time as the battery? :-\

Ooh good point... The firmware update could not possibly have installed. The Pleo must be turned on!
