Old Pleo model 2008 won’t work. Need Technical assistance.
I just picked up an old Pleo going cheap and am trying to bring it to life.
Trying to flash it with the 1.0.2 but nothing.
Typing LS on the internal SD B: shows no files.
LS A: shows
SD card not present
I know not to use anything bigger than 2GB SD. I've tried 3 x 2GB SD;s (integral ultima pro 133x, 2gb micro sd sd-co2g Taiwan and traveller high speed sd). All are non HC.
Battery reports full charge.

The hardware ID and serial number look very odd.
Are there any internal button battery’s that need replacing?
Does anyone think it can be brought back to life?

Battery is probably dead (yes I know it says full charge but almost all problems like this are battery related). Also never ever ever try an update on a non functioning Pleo. My first step would be getting a new battery.

Thanks. I stuck another 7.2 volt battery in parallel to give it more amp (as a quick test only) and got a leg movement.
So now I know it’s not a circuit board problem. I get myself a proper battery.

Go for the white egg lipoly battery if you can, you need a different charger, but the batteries give twice as long a runtime and have far less chance of dying. The green batteries are all very, very old now.

IMR's right, the Li-poly/egg batteries are much better. You can use the same adapter, as the egg chargers don't come with one.
