Post by: Torterenek on February 19, 2013, 10:34:18 PM
I made this thread to see how many of us own virtual pets like these, or used o. I am trying to get a vmigo currently.

Virtual pets may be fun, but at my age, I have too many real pets, :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: :cat: 9 cats ranging in age from 5 months to 18 years, one dog, three fish, @< @< @< a hubby who is understanding as can be, 26 pleos P8), three furbies, ( 2 of which are not even opened) and at least 5 outside homeless cats  :(that I feed as late as midnight :o to keep a low profile, ( because of a cranky neighbor  >:(who does not like cats) and all this with both a broken foot and fractured wrist, and I also have chronic back pain... I think I am just too busy right now to deal with "virtual" anything. My REAL world has me in overdrive already! Enjoy though.

Hahaha! Now if this forum were a pet, I have an undetermined number of pleos and all sorts of creatures real and robotic. I never really thought of it like that. I like to think I could reach out to Redwoods and give Argyle a pat every once in a while.
Okay on a more serious note. I have four pleos, two aibos, one bio dog, six Furbys and babysitting a seventh until my God-daughter's birthday. I had a Nano-pet once. It's kind of like a Giggapet but it could talk rather than just beeping so I could tell which arrow to push to feed it and provide for its needs. I lost it in one of my many moves. If there were different types that were... well a little more accessable for a blind person I might grab one just for the experience.

I have nine furbys and a pleo rb that is beginning her journey to invo labs to get repaired. And with so much bubble wrap for padding that its funny :) (most of my furbys are the old kind though.

Oh cool! Four of my Furbys are original- two adults and two babies- and then I have three of the Emototronic two thousand five version. I don't have one of the newest ones yet.
Torterenek, what's a Mvigo? I've never heard of one. Is it kind of like the Giggapets from back in the day?

It is not mvigo, but v-migo. It is a digital pet dog. They have a spiderman one too. The v-migo has a step counter inside with little games to play with them. You take them to the vet, you feed them, and let them out when they need to go. When you take steps you earn points, and walking with them in your pocket is how you walk them. You can buy toys and things for your pet with your points.

I had two or three tamagotchis of different generations in the past, but in the end my schedule never matched with theirs, so I just hid them in the closet somewhere. After waking up too many times at noon to see the poor thing being sick, dirty and swimming in their own poopoo, I figured having a virtual pet that expects me to wake up at 8-9 am, and give them attention through the whole day isn't my thing :/

Uh, wow, i have like 3 small bins full of virtual pets, from Tamagotchis to Digimon, to off brand pets. I love them, but they do get real expensive, sadly.

I found $75 ones on ebay. I wish i could get one for $20 or $40. I earn 21 dollars a week, and i have to remove 4 dollars for other savings. I have also had to pay for other things.

Ouch, I feel your pain on being frugal. And yeah, $75 is 'cheap' for a Digimon pendulum pet. The cheapest though would be the 'new' Neos, and the D-Cybers are not half bad at all, actually.

d-cyber? what is new about them? do they still have different forms to become?
Title: Re: digital virtual pets
Post by: Midorime on March 15, 2013, 09:13:51 PM
Well I meant 'new' as in not that old, lol. D-Cybers are the Bandai Asia version of the Pendulum X, they're shaped like a cell phone. Kinda bulky, but they seem rugged enough. I like how when the Digimon calls for you, the phone antenna flashes and lights up.

What forms do they have? Are they more like the latest digimon?

I think they Jogress? There's info here: http://lcd.wtw-x.net/DCyberIntro

I have both versions.

Look into Digimon D-Powers/D-Arks for Renamon. They're not V-pets, though, they're quest pets.

Isn't renamon in the d-cyber? Btw, i found several of those for around 40 dollars. On ebay.

Nope, I have those. They're based on the Pen X ones that are Japanese--D-Cybers are English Bandai Asia releases.

For a list of Digimon in the D-Cybers, look here: http://lcd.wtw-x.net/PenxProfiles

I think there's a version 3, but it's super rare and is multicolored.
