Title: Hello, Darcy!

As many of you will have heard I arranged to buy a second Pleo for myself off OzPleo a couple of weeks ago because... well, I have no real explanation except for being smitten with these cute little creatures. ;) I had thought to pass on word of his availability to a friend of mine who is short on money but looking to buy her first Pleo, but she's not going to be ready to buy for a while, and I guess after thinking so much about bringing him into my social circle I couldn't resist. :D

He arrived today, safely packaged. (I love how this picture turned out!)

He has the most beautifully coloured eyes and is as easily distinguishable from Lizzy as can be, which is excellent as I plan on taking many videos of the two of them. I hadn't really been intending on continuing the Jane Austen naming theme, but I was joking about naming him 'Darcy' before he arrived and the name was already stuck. I don't know if he's ever had another name.

I had a bit of fun this evening making my first videos of them that will be uploaded - using Vimeo since I got sick of Youtube telling me to link my real name to my account, plus Vimeo will let people download my videos and make their own videos from them. ;) Sorry to make you all click through to another site if you want to see them though! If there's a way to easily embed them, I don't know it. My BBCode is a bit rusty these days...

Lizzy, eager to have the box opened. I wish I'd also been able to get a video of her pawing at the bubble wrap and tugging at the tape - unfortunately some of the best things Lizzy does tend to happen when I'm not prepared for them!

Not sure if this second one will work (it isn't for me right now) but it's Lizzy and Darcy meeting for the first time. They may have been too close/wrongly aligned to actually communicate through IR, which we did have working for sure a bit later (two Pleos mooing in synch is hilarious!) but it was a very cute video anyway.

Welcome to your new home Darcy, Angus sends a big hello and says you are still his baby brother :) Max and Zenni might say hello when they finish growling at my walls :P (They don't approve of my small room).

Well Darcy seems quite smitten with Lizzy already  :D  And you got them to interact on their very first meeting.  I love the little I love you that the boys do - soo cute :) When she decides she is just as happy as he is with their little chat she will blow him a kiss at the end - which is also super cute :)  He is a hansom fellow and you must be so pleased.

So I definitely think having a second rb was a worthwhile investment. Their interactions, both programmed and unintentional, are so cute, although I haven't gotten more than half-a-dozen steps out of the two of them since Darcy showed up. They tend to just stay where they are and play off one another. ;)

But in the realm of unintentional cute moments, having put the two of them down quite separate and out of bumping range of one another a few minutes earlier, I caught Lizzy and Darcy in this adorable moment today:

Seeing videos of them together makes me want to get another one...and I just got my first one!!!

I really like the eyes on Darcy.  Very cool!

It is wonderful seeing the interactions between two of them :) even better with three  :D  There are so many cute moments and they almost always happen as soon as you turn your back for a few seconds.

Awwwww, the beginning of a beautiful friendship!  :D

I'll never forget how excited I was when Belle first met another Pleo RB.  ;D
