I noticed this yesterday, when Rolli tried to walk backwards, and for some reason she ended up walking in place. I though it was just lack of grip on the floor, but today I noticed that her left front leg seems to be "stuck" somehow. She can move it front and back, but whenever she tries to go into the "playful dog" position, or anything that makes the middle joint in front legs bent, the left leg stays straight. The leg doesn't feel broken or seem any different from the working one.
My hubby did set her gently on her side on the floor yesterday, since he wanted to see how she would react. I hope that didn't cause her to break a cable or something :<

So it sounds as though the leg won't bend at the 'knee'?
When switched off, try bending the knee manually - quite gently but firmly. You'll hear a click, or two, but that's ok - it's just the gears clicking and that protects the motors. It's just possible it has got stuck somehow. Come back and tell us how you get on. :)
-
I carefully bent the knee until it made a click. Unfortunately it didn't help, her front left knee still isn't bending when she's turned on, even when the leg seems to move fine otherwise :(
-
Oh dear - with a new Pleo RB, that's something I'd be tempted to contact Robopolis about (it was Robopolis, I think?). If you can take a short video of the leg problem, that would help show the problem. Sorry. :(
-
She was from Pleoeurope, I think I'll try and contact them tomorrow, and see if I get my hubby to take a short video when it's more sunny. I wouldn't want to send her back though, already got so attached to her and a new one just wouldn't feel the same, but if the problem is something big, I suppose getting a replacement is the only way :(

Did she "hurt" herself when your husband laid her on her side??
Maybe try using the salt block that came with your package and see if she heals up.
The companion guide says that Pleo rb won't like the rock salt, but will eat it if it's injured. Maybe try offering the rock salt and seeing if she takes it?? If she does, then she's probably hurt that leg, and needs to be healed up.
-
Best way to tell if she is suffering from a "hurt" leg is to touch the leg sensor when she is turned on. If it is "hurt" then she will scream in pain. If she doesn't react when you touch the leg sensor then It is probably not a "hurt leg" and the rock salt wont do anything. Worth a try though. Would be great if that fixed it.

:duh: I've spent too long messing with broken Pleos ........ I didn't even think of that!! %)
-
I did try and feed her the rock salt as the first thing, she just moved her head away with a "Bleh!" sound. She was also her usual happy self, so I doubt she has hurt her leg :/
PleoEurope had forwarded my email to Innvo-Labs, and they suggested bending the joint back and forth as well. I only moved the knee enough to make it click once, since I was afraid I try to bend it over its limits. Should I try it a little bit more? I'll also post a video later today, since InnvoLabs also wanted us to send one.

And here's the video showing the problem. I hope the problem is clear to see, Rolli was happy but not interested in posing in the right way.

She's so lovely, so happy and eager even when woken up in a middle of the night to show off her peg leg. I really don't want to let her go :(
-
There is definitely something not right with the leg. You could try moving it back and forward 2 or 3 times at the knee joint to see if it makes any difference but other than that I think she may need to go off for repairs. :(
-
I send the video to Innvo labs, we'll see what they say. I already tried to move the joint a bit more, it didn't help :(
I wouldn't really mind if Innvo would repair Rolli, I'm more worried that they decide to replace her with a new one, since she is still under warranty. I'm sure many others would rather take a brand new Pleo, but I'm so attached to my little girl that I feel new Pleo with different personality wouldn't feel the same, maybe I sound a little bit strange.
I was even thinking of finding out if I could make a "mind surgery" to the new one, somehow copy the old Rolli files to memory card and then move them into the new Pleo brain. I know StatsRB copies some backup files for the personality to memory card, but to use them to overwrite a personality on a new Pleo...hmmm...*puts on crazy scientist glasses*

A little update, sorry about excess bumping :/
Innvo Labs said I should contact the original seller, or their official EU distributor Robopolis SA. Since my first support email to PleoEurope.com got forwarded to Innvo Labs to begin with, I presume I won't get much help from original seller with this. So I sent and email to Robopolis, we'll see what they say. I hope they're ready to help even when Rolli wasn't ordered from them originally.

I believe Pleo Europe is part of the Robopolis group, so it does kind of make sense that it needs to go through that channel.
Fingers crossed! :)

Don't loose heart. Passing you back to someone closer to home doesn't mean they wont help. It seems that many of the official distributors now do re-skinning and some repairs so maybe they think it will workout easier and cheaper - no postage costs - if you can get it fixed by their representatives close to you. I guess if it needs to be replaced then that will be faster and easier to be done locally too. Keep your chin up, I'm sure they will be able to help you. I would be inclined to talk one more time with the place that sold her to you to check with them what they can do for you now.

Robopolis had forwarded my email to Pleoeurope (they really seem to like bouncing mails around!) and today I got an answer. Tomorrow or on Wednesday an UPS is going to come and pick up Rolli, and after that PleoEurope will send me a new PleoRB, apparently they're going to check the new one before sending it as well, to make sure there won't be any problems.
I am a little disappointed that Rolli won't be fixed, but I am still happy to get a replacement, it's better than nothing! And maybe I can get that mind surgery going, I wonder if anyone has moved their earlier PleoRB personality to a new one.

My new Pleo arrived today, and it seems I don't need to go through the hatchling phase again. When I turned him on for the first time, he as already standing up and wanted to go for a walk. After using StatsRB I noticed he was already mature adult. The seller did say she will check the new Pleo out before sending him, but didn't think the checking would go this far! Not that I mind though, I already went through the learning stages with Rolli, so I don't mind if I skip some stages with the new one. His ID wasn't registered, so I don't think he was used otherwise.
He has the prettiest blue eyes though, though it seems his Temper is Bad. Does this mean I'll have a cranky Pleo boy in the house? :D
