I bought a used pleo a few years ago and it came with the snapped neck cable problem. I tried to fix it, but it was too much of a headache so I gave up and tossed it.
I noticed they came out with newer models like the rb. Do you guys know if they made any changes to they hardware design? I think the original problem with the neck was the cables used on the neck where not strong enough.

The neck cables have been improved, thus far we've only seen one RB on these forums with a snapped neck cable. Fortunately we also have a neck repair tutorial available for older Pleo's available now.

ahh, you didn't have to toss the pleo, they are just as sweet with a broken neck :'( (R.I.P. unamed pleo :'()
the rb's also have better paint, but take longer to age.

Alright is the best place to buy them from the pleo store? Any coupons or cheaper spots?

Since you are in the US, there's only Pleoworld, they have specials from time to time, I suggest signing up for the newsletter.
