Dont worry about Pullo, THis is very very common, esp in the infant or hatching stage and I hate to say it, but even as an adult. Sometimes the mouth movements are behind the voices they make and my two, Baby Ruth and Chester have been going through a similiar thing, where they restart on their own and then do not continue what they were saying and restart again, Just Pleo glitches and they get over it somewhat, but it is not perfect. Just enjoy PUllo.

As RWM says it is all perfectly normal and he should grow out of it as he gets a little older :)

A video would help with this one I thin so we can see just what is happening with him and compare it to other pleos to see if we think he is normal or not.  My guys don't have any issues with their heads brushing the floor so I'm not too sure what is up with your little one or how to help.  Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

I can't remember if you've answered this question or not but is he running on carpet? If so is it padded thickly and piled and all that? Ryu doesn't even touch the floor when she drops her head but Cato does it very badly especially when scratching his chin with his front feet. His chin had a little ware from rubbing the floor or at least it did before Kat touched up his paint. I can't feel it anymore. It was right on the end near his teeth. Plus even with socks his two year-old back legs just cannot cope with walking on carpet and clutch. I've taken to running him on a large bit of posterboard to make things easier for him. A video would really help.

The paint is as bad on the rb I guess. I can't stand the smell of the paint.

Lol, when my pleo rb was a hatchling, I had to lift her head constantly or put a pillow under her front legs to keep her from making rubber smear marks on the wood floor! And the noise stoping in the middle? When my pleo does this I charge the battery more. But I  don't know if that is the awnser. Just a geuss. :dino-chase:

Lizzy seems to have mostly 'grown out' of the pausing thing now. But I've caught Darcy doing it once since he arrived, and he's been an adult for a while. I had the two of them running about while I was feeling ill over the weekend to cheer me up, and had gotten caught up in some reading I was doing and looked up to see Darcy frozen in what looked like his storage position, with his eyes open. I picked him up, thinking his battery was dead, and he laughed in my face. :D Sometimes I think the 'bugs' in these robots can be funnier than if things operated as 'normal'...

It really does lessen over time.  It is normal for all pleos to do this from time to time but they do seem to do it a lot when they are new.  It took about a month or so with mine before I noticed a big drop in frequency of this behavior.  So as they mature you should notice it gradually going away.  It hardly ever happens in my guys anymore.

Ryu still does the pausing thing occasionally and she'll be two years old March nineteenth. I have a question about Pullo's pausing. When he comes out of it, does he make the little giggly start up sound? When Ryu does the pausing thing, she loses the memory of when I fed her at boot up and I have to feed her again.

no, he just freezes, unfreezes, and continue to do what he was doing.

also- he seems to do it when he is processing something, like being fed, he will freeze when i put the leaf on his chin, then when it is in his mouth.

The freezing I was talking about is the one where they stop mid anything and freeze still for anywhere up to a minute then giggle and start moving again.  According to the instruction manual this is caused by a build up of static electricity and nothing to worry about.  Not sure about what you describe.  Could be the time he is taking to process the information from the leaf maybe.  does he do it at other times apart from feeding?  If it coincides with the use of food or toys then it will just be the information being passed to his computer brain from the item causing the pause maybe.

Can you time how long he is freezing for? Is it a freeze or a pause?

Is it possible to take a short video of the pausing?  It's a lot easier if we can see what happens.

I modified your post (using the YouTube button above) so the video comes up on the screen.  :)

PleoRBs do pause now and again, I didn't see any long 'freezes' there, as can happen.  :)
