Hi nyancat, sorry to hear about your pleo's skin, it does seem to happen quicker than you would think the paint should start peeling... :( i put clothes on most of my Pleos to not only protect them, but to help tell them apart, since I have so many. There are several very easy patterns that require either no sewing or very easy sewing that would help keep your pleo warm and protect the skin. If you are interested, I can post either a pattern here or PM you. fleece material or stretchy materials work easiest with no sewing, and even old socks can be fashioned into pleo clothes, Also bandanas and scarves make good alternative Pleo fashions.

We will help your pleo stay warm and try to protect the skin as much as possible. Do you do a lot of sewing or just a little basic.? I know Kat is really good at this too, and I see she has helped you already which is nice!

Where is Sakura peeling? It doesn't happen to be a wee little spot on the shoulder does it?

I am helping with a pattern, and here is a video link that shows the pattern I am sending you in motion. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z4ejBZxBbOw

This is my little new Pleo modeling the outift. I will post individual photos of pattern shortly with measurements.

Nyancat, here are the individual photos,s I will have to try and give detailed measurements in PM. here are the pics though.

Basically it is reallyl easy, If you take a plain piece of paper and hold it over Sakura and use a marking pen to mark where the end of tail is and belly and neck, the legs are the hardest to explain but are secured with velcro. I left the neck open but you can use velcro or use ribbon to push through the neck to tie if you want. I liked my pleo's neck open, the reptile print outfit looks more like a jacket this way, but  with fleece it may be better to use velcro.                           RWM  :cat:

I have paint peeling on the head and back of Perry. Is there anyway to prevent that without the cape? I find the elastic bands put too much pressure on the legs.

You can try small dog clothes and some bear clothes too, but try before you buy as Pleos are, erm ....... 'tubbier' than most pups and have wider legs.  :-X

Failing that, remove the bands and replace with ribbon tied loosely round the legs?
