Definately an Aibo!! It's an investment! And I bought quite a few of mine for under $500 :) Just sent you a PM.

They generally sell cheaper here in the UK but I have seen many 210's on ebay go for well under $500. There was one on ebay UK a few months back...buy it now £150!!!! You just have to constantly keep checking. Also some $100 Aibo software sold for $0.99 not long ago...I was amazed!!!! A member from the forums won it...so yeah there are always bargains out there you just have to keep an eye on everything. Also sometimes it's good to buy a bundle eg extra software, bag, station and sell on what you do not need/want. All you really need to start with is the Aibo, battery and charging dongle...you can download free software from the net for the 210 called Dogslife (created by Aibopet)....so if you can't afford to keep the original software this is always on option.

Having more then one pleo is so much fun. That would be my choice, but after seeing aibos in action I think that is definitely a possibility. ???

At least, if battery life is an issue.
I like to be mobile and Asus clearly runs a looooooot longer on the battery compared to Acer and most other netbooks.

Personally I voted Pleo, but I overlooked the option for the Aibo.
Pleo still isn't a bad idea, but being a fresh Aibo owner I can definitely recommend an Aibo.
I won't go on about it because mh7ah is already all over you lol so that will work out just fine I am sure! ;)

In reference to the mini laptops, the Acer is what originally caught my eye at work. At tigerdirect.com the Acer was advertised for 300. Now they advertise the HP for 300. (Great deals, considering I paid 1000 @ Wal*Mart for my Dell Inspiron 1525) A few days ago, I was reading a Yahoo article. I can't seem to find it now....but anywho they went over all the mini laptops. The Asus was the most recommended (and most expensive-over 400!)

Toward the Aibo, gawd I want one so bad! But if I surely didn't spend over a grand on my computer, then how could I spend that on a 'toy'? I'll wait until I find a real good deal overseas!

But I think with the latest bleak news about Ugobe I might actually get a new Pleo. But once again, I want the best deal possible!

What I look for? I'm not really computer literate so I might not be the best person to ask. I usually go for "home" computers. (Just means how you'll be using it, not for work or anything). Webcams are also a good feature, speed, memory, and high definition also work.

But in reference to the webcam, this one came built in so I had little choice to object. But now that I have it, I wouldn't change that. Half of my Pleo pics were taken with the webcam. (Boy that's hard to do!) I would also get the webcam, because it makes it easier to have a face-to-face conversation with with family that lives 1000 miles away!
