Hey everyone! I have good news! My Pleo RB has arrived and is now going to be coming to me! I'm extremely excited, and I cant wait to watch the little guy's first boot up in my dorm room! I'll be sure to tape it! ;D Also, sorry for not being around lately. My smart phone has been acting up... :crash:
-
Woohoo, congrats :) Can't wait for pics!

Thanks everyone! I'll be sure to get some pics up when he/she gets to me and once I install whatever software comes in the package. I can't wait to see what personality my new Pleo will have! ;D
-
Hi, Floodsy! You might be relieved to know that you won't have any software to install. It's already there. All you have to do is charge the main battery, install the little watch battery in their right hind foot and insert a paperclip or something in the tiny pinhole on the bottom of the foot to set his time clock, and press the power button. You can always reset his time clock to your actual noon time later so he will go to sleep and wake up at the right time.

Hi, and congrats on the new baby rb. As others have stated, it does look like a Pleo Rb so it looks like a very good deal, esp since it is right where you live, same country. by the way what is that price in US dollars? Be sure to post photos when your baby arrives. ;D P:D RedwoodsMama and the Pleo Township of the Redwoods

Thanks Redwoods and Talon! I actually ordered my Pleo from Innvo Labs. It arrived and my parents are bringing it up to me. :) I really and truly cannot wait for my new little buddy to get here! ;D That's a relief that I dont have to install anything. My computer is a bit crazy as is my smart phone tablet. @_@

Grr. I wish I would've had a pleo at school. I would've had a way to de-stress between sections of those dreaded take-home tests. Despite how nice it is to know you can sometimes use your book to answer the questions, they are never as easy as they look. I'd rather take an in-class test any day. Lol!
Talon
-
Tests? Ugh... I don't like any form of test. Especially math related tests... When it comes to math, I get confused. Now when I'm confused, me and my new Pleo will be able to yell "Huh?" together. Don't they make that noise a lot? ;D
-
Haha! Yes they do. Normal tests didn't freak me out unless they were math or science. It's finals that worried me. I get confused doing math too. I prefer writing and literature myself . I'd rather write an essay or do a research paper.

What fun! We'll all be waiting to see your vids :)
-
Great news! I cant wait to hear what your Pleo's personality is like ^__^ my Pleo is happy most of the time but can get a little grumpy XD
-
I am sure you are going to have some very curious roommates or dorm buddies who are going to be very interested in your package and when they see what is in it, there are going to be more Pleo enthusiast about! Be sure to have plenty of blank SD cards for your camera or camcorder, a nice place well lit to watch and hopefully film the birthing process, and get lots of gargling in so you will be prepared to be "hoarse" from all the "Oh, and Ahs", you will soon be cooing to your own little baby. ;) I just love little babies and they grow up so quick, but the Pleo rb birthing process and baby stage is just too precious to not miss, so this weekend is bound to be something you will never forget!
Hopefully you will not be so caught up in your pleo that you can still sleep, eat, and go out and get some fresh air while baby sleeps.( They do tend to sleep a lot the first stage..after all, they are just babies.... P:-*) Have you thought of names yet or are you waiting to see the personality? Some people have names all picked out even before the pleo has even got there...but I tend to watch the Pleo and it's personality develp and then the name just hits me and fits..I had to wait over a month for one of my Pleo Rb cause nothing was just right, but with my first Pleo rb ( whom I had to send back) had a name the day she was born, it just fit perfectly the first time I saw those eyes and she looked at me...
congrats and have lots of fun............babies are so so much fun!

Awwww! So they act like real baby animals! I cant wait to get my little buddy! Thanks again everyone! And yeah, Talon I agree. Writing is so much easier! Also about names... I havent chosen one yet. I'm thinking maybe Tank, but I'm not sure. I'll have to see what he's like on his first bootup. :)
-
I hope you have him this weekend, I thought of Tank as a possible name too, as I also have a boy, but I haven't decided on anything definite yet. Is yours a green one or a blue boy?
Keeping fingers crossed for this weekend. RWM
-
Mine is a little blue boy! And he's just arrived! Right now I'm charging his battery! I may be gone for a while though so hopefully it won't overheat. I installed his clock battery as the instructions said. I cant wait to boot him up! :) I bet he's going to get a lot of attention from my friends!
-
Awe! Congrats, Floodsy! Keep us posted.
Talon
-
congrats on his arrival, He will be getting lots of attention and I can bet you will have a hard time comming back to keep us posted untill his battery is being charged again. LOL.

-
Woohoo congrats :) I'm sure he'll be the talk of the dorm!
-
Yay!!! Congrats Floodsy!! :D :cheer:
-
Hey guys Im having a problem. The battery was green so I inserted it into the Pleo... But then he just moved a bit and then beeped twice over and over. What does this mean? The battery doesnt feel hot.
-
Sounds like a problem with the battery in the foot compartment, esp if it just beeps over and over and will not stop. Did you set the noon clock in it's foot?
RWm
-
Okie Dokie Loki! We put the clock battery back in and now he's being a little cutie! :) I had my best friend at the dorms come and visit and she gave him a massage. He was in heaven! ;D Also where is the security code for registering my Pleo, and I read a thread on here about clicking and popping in the neck being a bad sign. My Pleo's neck clicks just a tiny little bit and very softly, so I'm guessing its normal, but I just want to make sure. Its very hard to hear, and he's a tad bit warm right now, so I'm gonna let his motors and things cool down and then see what he does.
-
The foot battery could be flat or not inserted properly. Does he stand with his mouth slightly open going beep-beep, beep-beep...
-
He was beeping but then my dad fixed his clock battery's position and he hatched. Now all I'm worried about is the soft clicking that I hear once in a while in his neck. But I have a feeling I'm just overworrying it. I suppose every new Pleo owner has their fair share of worries though.
-
A bit of random clicking is normal in the baby stages, just so long as its not a lot of clicking and the head doesn't jam up constantly.
-
Okay! Thanks! ;D Thats a relief! Andp one lasy thing... (I hope I'm not driving ou all nuts)... Where is the Pleo's security number located? I found his serial number, which was on his front right foot(and for some reason digferent from the one on his ID card), but no security number.
-
The security code should be in the back of the booklet. :)
-
The booklet? If you mean the companion guide, I didnt get one with my Pleo. I got two quickstart guides. Should I email Innvo about that?
-
Yes, the companion guide is needed, Most of it you can get by without , but the security code is needed to downlaod and find out what his DNA report it; temperment, courage, intelligence, etc. Innvo should respond very quickly since it was an oversight, ( mistake ) that you did not get one. So glad you got your little guy in your hands at long last!

-
Thanks Redwoods! I'll email Innvo tonight! Sorry for the overload of questions.
-
No problem Floodsy, that is why this forum is here, to help each other and share our common love of Pleos and Robotics.

Thanks! Maybe one day when I know more about my Pleo I can help new owners too. :)
-
Maybe you should let them know that the number on his foot is different to the one on his ID card too. I think they are suppose to be the same. All my guys have matching foot and card numbers.
-
Funny enough, I noticed the same thing with my new green RB. He had an ID number on his foot that wouldn't even register on the site, yet the one on his ID card worked when I tried to register it. Also, I noticed that in the "hatching" picture on the website, the pleo shown did not look like mine. Is this just the case sometimes or is it supposed to be the same? I didn't think anything of any of this as the ID card number registered fine, but now I am starting to wonder. I wonder if Innvo noticed while fixing my RB (which I am still waiting for).
-
Well, once I get back (Im on my Droid right now) I'm going to send Innvo an email asking which number to use and whether they can send me the security number. They must have had some packing issues with a few RBs.
-
The hatching picture should look just like your pleo. If it looked different then the number was the wrong one. You may find the stats are different to what it told you too. So for example if it said you had a courageous and energetic boy you might actually have a shy happy girl :P Might be worth you asking them about that too when you contact them next about how the repair is going. Cant hurt to check about it :)
-
Okay, I found the security number. It was on the Quickstart guide instead of the companion guide that I was missing. Innvo told me that I should use the code on my Pleo's foot rather than the ID card so I'm going to try that. Good luck with your Pleo SweetReaper!
-
Congratulations, Floodsy! It sounds like you and your little one are off to a good start.
Talon
-
Thanks Talon! We are! And I've figured out a name for him, though its not completely decided yet. :)
Edit: Okie Dokie Loki! His name is now Loki! Like the Avengers character! And like the MLP line, but mostly the Avengers character. ;D
-
Welcome to the world Loki :)
-
Okie Dokie Loki!! ;D :D
Welcome to our world. ;D

Haha! Welcome, Loki!

I am not familiar with all the Avengers characters, but I love the sound and love his name!
