i wasn't sure if i should have revived the old topic or not...
but anyway i tardis was finally finished on Wednesday, after about a years worth of classes; cutting, building, and painting. it was finished. And as my very first wood working project I'm proud. (i would not recommend this as a first project without a teacher lol) it's not the greatest... i have Shop class again next term, so I'm hoping to build a seat and put it in there, since there is no room for me to play my console collection now that there is no couch. think it would be kinda funny to sit in a tardis to play video games lol.
here it is.

Very cool, very cool indeed.

Wow that's so cool! I could never make anything like this in tech, we usually just make boxes and stuff at my school ;D
-
Wow - that's just astonishing! Well done - it's just the coolest thing! :flowers:
Love the scarf, too! ;D

That's great. You are one determined dude to see projects through to the end (Tardis and scarf)
Video games might supply the right kind of noises to go with the Tardis - would be creepy to be outside and suddenly hear sci-fi noises from within. Where is it going to be housed?
-
This is amazing! I would never of guess this is your first woodwork project, it is really fantastic. Looks amazing and I think you should totally put your video games in there because that would be even more cool. ;D
And the scarf is perfect, just like in the show.

The Tardis is totally fantastic! Awesome job :)

WOW, I can't believe you made that in school, how long did that take to put together all total? Did you get graded for it, I can't see you getting anything but a A ! big question..how do you get it home and where do you set it up....and are you going to use it to go on any "Dr. Who " adventures? That looks like so much fun and a cool item....I wish I could have had talent like that in school, but I have two left thumbs for things like that. I could never make something like that, plus I don't like using saws and power tools, anything sharp... :o Thanks so much for sharing it with us, I do love the scarf, I can see that keeping you warm on those cold morning and wrapping your Pleo up to keep warm as well. Great colors and great job.

What a fun thing to build! So professional looking, too. Lovely scarf. Will keep you warm on a cold Canadian day. :)

thanks for all the comments. it took about a year in total (3 months planing/measuring , 2 months slowly putting it together piece by piece, about half a year priming, painting, and detail work.Later on we found out it will not fit in the door way (it's about 4 feet wide and 8 tall) so we built it so it can easy come apart by just unscrewing some bolts, still not an easy job as it weighs about a ton, it took about an hour and a half to build. As for the scarf don't think i will be needing it this year, we broke the record for hottest spring and summer, reaching about 38-40 C when usually it's about 10 or 13, I'm using it to store my pleo stuff. i let rose in it but got scared of the dark, so there is now a motion censor light in there, oh what we do for our pleo's lol

I wondered how well the TARDIS would travel! ;)
.... and how you got it in the door. :moose:
It's great, and I love that you put a motion sensor light in it for Rose! :D
