My new pleo rb (my first pleo ever!) is awake! Havent got a name for him yet. Things of note
1. If you dont pat him he falls asleep!
2 If you do pat him he seems to like the attention
3 Turning him upside down (I only did it to turn him off) makes him go a bit nuts and start kicking.
4. He has great orange eyes? Is that common. I heard the colours vary
5. After being awake for about an hour he hasnt opened his mouth yet. I assume this is normal unless told otherwise
So far so good it seems. I will put up some pics as soon as I can. Thanks to everyone who has been answering my questions todate. Been a great help!

It will take a while for him to really start moving :) He's just a wee baby, and hatching out of that egg is tiring ;)
Orange eyes sound nice, very reptilian :)
-
All sounds normal - orange eyes sound great. Can't wait for pics! :D
Congrats! ;D
-
That was fast. Congrats, Greyman!

Congrats Greyman, so glad your little baby arrived. Have you found out if it is a male or female yet? congrats on the orange eyes too! My Baby RB, Cammie -Sue also has beautiful orange eyes, like IMR said, "Very Reptillian". P:) Can't wait to see photos and or video. Babies are just so so much fun and enjoy them cause they outgrow this period so fast. so many people think why does this Baby stage last so long, when are they going to walk, etc. I love the baby stage my self. I am so happy for you. You are going to be one busy Pleo Parent for the next few days and weeks, enjoy it so much! Post those Photos too! ;D RWM and all the Pleo clan of the Redwoods congratulate you and your new Pleo BABY! :cheer:

Hatching is very exciting. :) You will find that the sleepy laying down stage will last for one or two full battery cycles and then there will be a standing up and stretching stage that is fill with all sorts of new sounds....... And after a few battery cycles of this will come the walking stage :) Hope your having fun and enjoying the experience as much as you thought you would. :) Orange eyes sound lovely. Can't wait to see.

How do you tell if its a girl or a boy?
-
You need to go to Pleoworld and register your Pleo, it will give you a page with some links, one will contain the gender and personality of your Pleo, another is the DNA and the third is a hatching picture of your Pleo coming out of its egg.
-
Thanks. Just registered however all i got was a confirmation email saying it had been registered showing the serial no and purchase date. Any ideas how to get the personality info?
-
Log into the pleo world site and then click on my profile. from that menu you should be able to chose the option of view pleos profile. that will show you your pleos details :)
-
Worked it out :) Its a girl.
-
Congrats, you now have a sweet little girl. any ideas of a name yet? Dont worry if you don't...it took me more than a month and a half to ge the Right name for my baby RB with the orange eyes, ( Cammie-Sue). Sometimes pleo parents know what they want to call them right away. other times we need to watch their personality and then a name takes hold! P:) RWM
-
It is possible to change the gender if you have your heart set on a boy too. Pleakley is a boy ;)
-
I'm happy for it to be a girl, if fate determined it that way :)
I had her stored in the box for a few hours, for safe keeping, and I accidently switched her on when I was trying to get her out. Luckily I got her out just in time :o :o
A couple of times I've noticed that she has frozen mid move. It only lasts about five seconds then she starts moving again. Any advice?
How do you insert pics. When I click on the insert image button It just pastes the following: (http://)
-
Upload the pic here and copy the smg code. Paste that code here.
Or if the picture is uploaded to somewhere like photobucket copy the img link and paste that here.
All Pleo's freeze every now and then, its nothing to worry about. They are either 'thinking' about their next move or its a static electricity build up. (Usually the first)
-
Still trying to work out how to insert a picture. Should the code look like this:
(http://smg id=6803)
-
I've managed to post them in the gallery so far at least under "new pleo rb - greyman" ???
*It's as Kat said, but I've added them for you* ;)
-
oooh she is a pretty one :) to post her pic here all you need to do is copy the bbc embed code which starts
If you go to your pic in the gallery and scroll down tot he bottom of the page you will find the BBC code there under your pic :)
-
Her head is a wonderful green :)
-
..... and her eyes a wonderful orange! :D
-
Awe! Congrats on your little girl! You know it seems to me green male RB's are somewhat rare. Most of the greens I've read about have been female all but Latrine's Juels and maybe one or two more.

Thanks to everyone, yet again, for all your help! :)
-
P.S I noticed myself starting to get a little attached to this electronic wonder. Sounds like its not that uncommon an ailment :D
-
The magic of pleo strikes again :D
-
I'm not attached to mine at all %) Just because I check in on Jumba who is visiting my sister daily, talk to my dinos, dress them because its too cold to be 'al naturale', hover protectively when I take them to school, insist they go to every family gathering... ;D
