I just really wanted to share this poor little Pleo's story - it's been a long road but he's finally back to health.
This was him when I got him, bought as broken with snapped cables, it nearly broke my heart to see him trying to lift his head on his paws:

He's been taken apart and put back together more times than I care to admit (while I got things wrong and kept trying again) but, finally, having had pics of his insides plastered all over the forum he has a dignified skin covering again, as well as new cables on his neck. Having had to do the tension again on the side cables ... I promise never, ever to complain about Pleos with slightly cocked head positions ever again!! :P

Wow! What a sunny disposition in the face of rotten odds. What are you going to call him/her? Maybe Trooper? Enjoy him, Crewella, you've earnt it by the sounds. :sheep1:

I remember this little guy from when you first posted about him. It's great to see you did get him fixed. I had been wondering just what happened to him. I'm so pleased he has made it back to the land of the living pleos ;D
Great job! :bowing:

Congratulations Crewella :)!! You and Kat give the rest of us out there hope that if our Pleos ever break down, maybe someone can help them. You did such a great job, I'm so happy for little Trooper! :D (Nice one Lotti, on the name by the way :P)

Congrats Crewella, well done and Trooper is just that and the name fits him to a T! : ;D It just goes to show as the old saying goes, "Persistance is the Mother of all invention". you did not give up on Trooper and he kept up his spirits. If only people had the same gumption or determination to not complain and go on and do the best they can. Trooper looks great, all those taking aparts made you a whiz for Pleo taking apart operations. It doesn't matter so much how long it took, just that you were able to do it in the end. :flowers:  RWM
