We got a new Pleo rb. He is green with amber eyes. P:) He or she? The online Genetic Diagnostic report says that it will have a 75-85% chance of being a male. It also says he will grow to be courageous, obedient, sensitive, healthy and active. Almost sounds too good to be true. Sparky watches inertly from on top of a high speaker. Our new Pleo, temporarily called Floppy, makes some different sounds than Sparky did. For example, he makes sniffing noises when presented with a leaf, and much louder crunching sounds when eating. His head moves a lot! We were used to Sparky who couldn’t move her head at all. Now this head movement seems extreme. No wonder the neck goes first. Floppy is out of the hatching stage and is standing upright, but he hasn’t walked yet. I guess it will be a while. It’s exciting to see how he will develop.

Floppy started walking on his 5th battery cycle, just 4 days after he arrived! :) And he walked a lot! Quite precocious isn't he? ;D
Here he is.

I removed the rubber bands from the cape because I thought they could hurt his skin and that the cape might restrict his movement. I added velcro around the neck to tie it on loosely. It looks silly, but he's nice to pet and the paint will last a little longer.

Floppy is very precious! I love that he made it up onto the carpet all by himself. :) My guys always get stuck on the edge. :D

I think you have one clever little dino, Chicago. I was amazed, too, when she was able to get right onto the carpet.
-
That makes me the third to be so impressed by your little dino's carpet-crossing abilities :D he's just darling Chicago, I'm so happy for you! And only a little bit jealous :P (my Pleo is nearly 3 weeks old and still isn't walking, but then I think that her injuries are impeding her progress). I can't wait to see more of Floppy's adventures ^^ be sure to post more! :)
