Hi guys :) I'm expecting my pleo any day now (she's already 2 days late... :'() so I thought that now would be a good time to clear up this big question I have about the software on the rb. I've been hearing so much about versions 1.0, 1.1 and 2.0, so my question is is the software on the rb already 2.0? Or does it vary, or is this just a problem that the ugobes have to face? I don't really know anything about this, which is why I'm reaching out to you :D !

Your Pleo will not need any software updates, as she'll already be running the latest :) However in future if you update be careful as there are updates for the older Pleo's that have the same name as the RB's, always double check you have the right software for your Pleo :)

As IMR says.  There is an OS 1.0. 1.1 and 2.0 for the Ugobe Pleos, and just one version, 2, for the Pleo RB. :)

Assuming it is a recently produced model, then it should come with the latest and greatest software/firmware.

If you bought it off a previous owner, or someone who has an older PleoRB, you may need to upgrade it.
It is easy to see. When your PleoRB goes to sleep it will either be curled up or laying straight. If it is curled up (like the top pink PleoRB), they you should update the firmware.

Thanks IMR and Crewella, I can't tell you what a relief it is to know that I don't have to mess around with softwares I know nothing about, I'm embarrassingly computer illiterate :-[ and PleoPet your picture was so helpful, that was very thoughtful of you! :)

Updated our PleoRB to OS2 today by downloading from the downloads section here. All went smooth and according to the description on how to upgrade, but the little fellow curls up like the pink PleoRB on the picture. He didn't go back to hatching stage either as I remember being claimed on the pleo website.

No the RB upgrade doesn't set them back to hatching - that's the one for Ugobe Pleos (and NOT to be used for RBs).  You should find your RB still curls a bit to snooze but goes into neutral position when you switch off with the button?  :)
