hello all
Sorry for my very bad English.
I'm french and my wife offered me pleo , find on the web . I have originally the old battery (green). I bought the extended battery,but now I have troubles with my friend pleo. After a few minutes I hear a beep and my pet starts to moan, two bip ... three bip and pleo turn off ... I am in version 1.0
has anyone ever had this problem? ... I installed pop version and then version 1.0 without any particular problem ...
the battery was charged and discharged many times.

Hi Francis, and welcome.
Don't worry - your English is fne, but I just want to check ....... is the Pleo doing the same thing with each of the batteries? And which extended battery did you get?
And has the Pleo been running 1.0 OK before this happened?

The first battery was green, it has never functioned, that is why I bought the egg battery by ucube ;
It worked for a while, I wanted to then install the update 1.1, it was not a success, so I returned to 1.0, starting from the POP version.it seems to work well...
because my pleo wakes up
I do not know if the battery has been a problem, or a bad update.

Alors pour Pleo un bip signifie qu'ils peuvent se réveiller de leur propre chef(il est en mode automatique), il ne faut pas l'oublier quelque part ou il risquerait de tomber si il se réveille et se déplace...
deux bips c'est lorsque vous éteignez avec le bouton
trois bips signifient que vous devez charger la batterie.
;)
Moi j'ai le dernier pleo, donc pour la mise a jour je ne connais pas Crewella saura répondre mieux que moi :)

There are usually no bips on Ugobe Pleos - they do not have the sleep function that the RBs do.
Which, if the battery is OK, means it might not have been a successful install. I would try to reinstall OS 1.1, if you have no luck with the SD card perhaps try via USB. :)

I'm back, I just received my new battery from Japan,
I have reinstall the pop version and after that the version 1.0.2 with the sdcard
i have heard several chimes followed by silence over the next two minutes
When the update has been complete, i have heard a final chime . Pleo started to awake, and began
to move.
but now the same problem, after 5 or 6 mn , 3 bips and my pleo stop
i prefer to give you a video of my problem, you will heard the 3 beeps and at that time my pleo stop

you must increase the volume to hear the beeps
i hope you can help me , because i don't know what to do

I wish I could help - it sounds as though the update worked OK, but I'm afraid I don't think I've ever heard that sound. :-\

and the roar, do you think it's normal before he stops off

All the other sounds seem familiar, that wail at the end sounds like the distress noises when they're upside down or held by the tail - but if you had not told me the Pleo was making the beep I would have assumed something else was making that noise. :moose:
ADDED: Can I just check that you have removed the SD card after updating?

Lilo beeps on occassions, but not quite that much. It doesn't seem to affect her ability to run, it's just a strange little glitch. I guess try updating to 1.1 and see if that does anything.

Having spoken briefly to someone who knows more than I do, the suggestion is to now:
1. install POP version via SD card.
2. Install USB 1.1 updater and update to 1.1 via USB
I hope it works. :)

a strange story
it is not possible to install the USB 1.1 version after POP version
the pc does not recognize pleo
but I installed version 1.0.2 with USB ,
But after the end of the installation , i can read "FAILED" so I unplugged it and pleo was awake ....
3 minutes after, the BEEPS and pleo STOPPED...
I decided to continue to install the SD version 1.1, after the 3 music of the installation ,pleo did not want to wake up
Now, the most fun, I copied the version 1.1.1 (version of pleodevelopment kit) on a sdcard and pleo awakes and function without beep for two hours ...
super ....
BUT NOW IT 'S FUNNY
in fact if I remove the sd card pleo does not start ,nothing . if I inserted the sdcard, pleo wakes up but begins at the state of baby
I am not far from a solution,no? because now I think I've exhausted all the possibilties

I think Pleo is running it from the card, and not from the internals. Ie. it's not being installed to the Pleo.
After installing the POP in Lilo I went to the 1.0.2 then the 1.1 Have you tried the USB version of 1.1 again, just check that Pleo is being recognized by your system beforehand.

I would keep trying - it did once take me several goes to get an upgrade/downgrade to work.

Yup I would retry, sometimes the SD cards are unreliable.
