Title: I-Dog???
Post by: gucci_boi7782 on April 01, 2009, 04:46:59 PM
I was over at a friends house the other day and they had this cute little dog attached to an ipod. The little dog 'ate' music, and would dance happily. I have a Burger King toy of what it was. My question is, are they only for ipods, or are there autonomous idogs? I would love an autonomous one.

I have a spiderman i-dog. :) I don't like spiderman though. Good thing is he doesn't remind me of spiderman.I like him because it looks like he would have eyes underneith his mask.

You can connect the I-dog to just about any music source.  But it's not really autonomous.   I have an I-Cy penguin.  It basically just an external speaker that "dances" and displays lights based on the music.

It is cute.  But after awhile it gets annoying.  If the music isn't playing, it will chirp, flap it's wings, and make noises to get attention.

You press and hold it nose for about three or four seconds and it makes an obnoxious noise and powers off. :P

Yeah I thought they were only 'fancy speakers'. But I figured I'd give it a try and see if there were something autonomous. Thanks guys!

I have this I-Dog as well.
It's cute.
He doesn't just play music and dance to it but he also plays little tunes himself when you double press his nose.
Based on the music you will feed him, he emotes a certain tune that indicates what state he is in.
If you feed him lots of electronic dance music he will actually be in that mood and produce a funny tune on his own.
I-Dog is just a confussing marketing trick for it's in no way related to Apple or the iPod product of Apple.
You can hook any kind of (music) device up to the dog.
You can also just let stand near a speaker and he we dance to the music as well.
I much prefer this then hooking an audio device up to it because the little speaker isn't too fantastic for listening music through (for long periods of time.)
Mine was only 10 euro's. Best 10 euro's ever spent!
