>:(What do you think of little Inu interactive pet that comes with 8 sensors. It looks cute and using RF accessories just like pleo to recognize its food.
They are targeting children above 8 years. It also said to have emotions and it would be sad if you turned it upside down so on and so forth.
Anybody has bought it?
-
I must admit I'm not keen ...... it doesn't appear to walk?
The only person that I've heard say they might get one was Junkroxy, I think ........ not heard since, though. :moose:
-
I agree with Crewella. It looks "kinda" cute, but a cheaper and I do mean that in the mechancal and esp the emotional interactive sense, It does not appear to walk, but just move it's legs around. Also for a price of about $149.00, a used Pleo in my mind that is very good is a better bet. just my own prefernce . Untill someone on this forum actualy sees one or knows someone that has one, my opinion is unlikely to change. The thing I like best about it is the coconut and little egg , but that is about it. Mayby Junkroxy will report back...did she get one..?
-
As above, it is kind of cute, but it just looks more like a kids toy. Part of the charm of Pleo is the realism in its range of movements. The way the neck, legs and tail move so fluidly. I don't think Inu has anywhere near the same level of software either, it will be interesting once the reviews come out.
It seems most people buying it are buying for children well under 8: http://reviews.qvc.com/1689/T31190/little-inu-t31190-little-inu-lifelike-robotic-baby-dinosaur-reviews/reviews.htm

I have so far seen no video of it walking even though they claim it does. I would want to see the walking function before i would ever contemplate buying one. But so far to me they do seem a lot more toy like than pleo. Just doesn't seem to have quite the same realistic charm.
-
I have one, the interaction with the food products and ball works great. She will go to sleep when you lay her on her bed. she will complain if you put her on her back. The walking is slow back and forth. Little Inu in no pleo but one of the cutest dinosaurs since.
-
Oooooh! Oooooooh! Oooooooh! You HAVE one!!!!! ;D ;D
If you could manage to take a short video? Just a little one, so I can see the walking bit? It would be much appreciated! :flowers:
-
Yes Mickey we'd love to see a video! Especially of the walking. I'd also like to see your Inu next to a pleo too. :)
-
I noticed you called it a Her, do they have genders or did you decide to call it a female? As Crewella and Kat said, if you could post a video of it walking and esp a video of the Little Inu and one of your Pleos together side by side or in action that would be great! Who knows, perhaps it will influence more members wanting one or at least giving a good "true" educational post of what it is like to have one of these. I do think they are cute and I am glad to hear that they react well with the food and ball, What do they sound like, how many different vocalizations or sounds can they make? I had a feeling someone had gotten one for a child of theirs but thought it was someone out of the USA, and here you are with one! Does it have a name or just Little Inu? Post some photos at least, we are all very curious, you can be the Little Inu Educator to the rest of us! ;D

Here is video I made of Little Inu
-
Thanks Mickey, I have a much better idea of how it works now. Love the onesie, by the way! ;D :D
It does do a little shuffle, and I imagine that on a surface where it could get some traction it would move forwards or back a little?
-
Yes it does move back and forth a little, It also plays tug-of-war.
-
They are quite cute, huuuuuuge eyes, and I love the markings on the head. They're kind of like Pleo's little brother or sister!
The accessories look fun, too. OK it's not as lifelike as Pleo, but for the money they're a fun addition to the genre. :)
Thanks again for taking the time to film yours for us! ;D
-
Hi and thank you
I saw the ad on youtube, I find it adorable, even if it has nothing to do with Pleo.
thank you for the video, because we find no other than your
-
Awww, he sounded so sleepy in that video~ Thank you for sharing it! :)
Inu is a lot bigger than I was expecting; I really like his bed too! xD
-
Thanks so much for the video Mickey. It was great to see little Inu somewhere other than the add. :) I love his little bed mat. very cute. The accessories do look fun too. how big is he compared to a pleo?
-
Thank you Mickey, nice to see what they can actually do :) He's a talkative little fellow :P What is the skin made of?
-
Hi thanks for sharing, im going to have one too. I like the egg and the bed.
I f you have spare time, could you records when it walk.
-
I will take more video today.
-
Thanks, MICKEY. That's the first I've seen of this robot beside the adds. I like it's vocalizations. They're very... mmmmm baby-like? Lol!

Thanks for the video, Mickey! It is great to know someone on the forum that has one. I think they are VERY cute, and I might have to snag one for the kids, especially since it sleeps on the little mat. My kids LOVE the Pleos, but they don't understand why I have to wake them up, and can't shut them off in the curled up sleeping position. ;) (I have not updated my RB yet to sleep standing up. Still turning back on and pulling battery.)
Do you have to buy everything separate for Little Inu, or does it come with everything that you have? Can't wait to see more video of this little guy! 8)
-
I actually just ordered one of these little guys from Amazon. I got it for the kids. It was $89 and included the coconut and the turnip leaf. All other accessories were sold separately. I did purchase the lava ball, the bed, and the Ti leaf. It looked cute, and my daughter is having trouble sleeping, so think Little Inu and his bed might help!
My kids love my Pleos, but I don't leave them alone with them. I think I can let them play wIth Inu and not worry so much about not being supervised at all times. With Pleo, I don't leave the room they are in for any reason.
-
Awwww - that sounds like a perfect addition to your household! :D
Congrats! ;D
-
congrats Saratoga, I think that is a good plan, It would be nice if Pleo could lie down like that but their necks are so vulnerable, I just can't imagine it. I think that is the part I liked best abut Little Inu, the sleeping part, and it took awhile for it to sleep, just like a child would, Great idea Saratoga. Now I can see Pleo videos and Little Inu Videos, who knows there may be a growing community. LOL. Be sure to post video when it arrives. RWM

re: accessories
>Do you have to buy everything separate for Little Inu, or does it come with everything that you have?
> I did purchase the lava ball, the bed, and the Ti leaf.
Little Inu comes with the dino itself, and THREE interactive toys: the Taro Root (food), the Coconut (drink) AND the lava ball (play). It looks like they added the lava ball as a bonus.
The separate items you can purchase (from Amazon at least) are:
Lava Ball (interactive) - if you need another one
Ti Leaf (interactive) - food that makes Little Inu act 'silly and crazy'
Leaf Nest Bed - cute little bedding plush toy, but any bedding will do (just lay dino on its side)
Glow Egg with Preemie (interactive) - cute egg that pops open (see MICKEY's video around the 3 minute mark)
The manual also mentions other accessories (Innu's friends): Native Doll, Baby Squid, Lil Fishes - they look to be plush toys (ie. not interactive)
The interactive toys have an RFID-like mechanism in the plastic toys and a detector in the mouth of the dino (very similar to PleoRB).
-
Oooooh - PleoPet, have you looked at Little Inu ....... or even got one? :dino-chase:
I've kind of dismissed them as they don't seem to walk much, and I don't have kids to entertain (which I'm sure they do admirably). Or do they have a greater depth of personality than first appears, do you think? %)
-
Thanks for the video! It does seem that the Pleo has more emotions then the Little Inu... But I might just get the Little Inu cuz it's in the price range :)
-
My big question is why is it called Little Inu? Inu means "dog" in Japanese... :V
-
Not a clue, I'm afraid. I did wonder that too! :moose:
-
little inu looks a little special to me but would probably be a good little brother or sister for co P:) P:) P:) P:)maro they are as well very cute and a better choice for a child under 10 anyway i would know my mom has one in her closet for my little brother for christmas.
