Title: Serial numbers.
Post by: gucci_boi7782 on March 22, 2009, 11:24:53 AM
Hey!!! Today when I went to charge Sophie, I couldn't help but to notice all the numbers on her feet. I've *obviously* seen them before, but never put too much thought into it. Then I realized one of the serial numbers was 6 numbers, and I also know the serial number on the bottom of the charging cradle is 6 numbers followed by a letter. So when I put the two side-by-side I realized the first 4 numbers were identical but not the last 2.

Does anybody know what all the serial numbers are? Thanks guys!!

Interesting find gucci_boi7782.  I checked Pleo's feet and when I got the light right, (old eyes, :P) I could see them.  I don't know if I would call them a serial number though.  Here's mine.  Pleo back right foot, 712241.  Charger, 712211B.  I know there were some problems with the "B" charger so I'd call that a batch letter.  Do you have 11 in front of the letter.  If it is, maybe it might be a number meaning charger.  Just throwing out some guesses for you.  It will be interesting what you find out.  Good Luck!

I tried to get Ugobe to shed some light on the serial numbers back when pleo first came out, but they wouldn't say a word. :(

Hmmmmmm lemme check......712151 on bottom right"CHARGING CRADLE-712111B "FC pleo 12006". Bottom left "2006 Ugobe inc. peatend pending SKU 12006" Top left/Left hand-N10746 Right hand AKA identification number-152 in the top corner. Are we supposed to keep their I.D. #'s confidential?

(Btw, that's the charging cradle she came with, not the one I use.)

The only serial number that I think would be important is on the Pleo's right front foot.  That's why I felt comfortable posting the numbers that I did.  I could be wrong. (Famous last words.:D)

What's someone going to do?  Hijack you're pleo's registration?

Hmm . . .     Pleo identity theft . . .

I thought Pleo looked a bit different after I posted those numbers.  Or is it normal for Pleo to grow overnight about three feet high, turn brown and hairy and continually raid the refrigerator? ???

Haha!!!! I was so thinking Pleo's could be subject to identity theft (if you think of their registration as our social security!). Hehe, I' glad they can't be!! haha
