Anyone else notice how Pleo's eyes seem to follow you, like as in however you look at his/her eye balls they always seem to be right on you heh just another of the million things that make Pleo "owning" a pleasure XD oooo and does anyone get confused about how you look a pleo in the eye? is it ete or nose hmm ;p heh
-
I know, they always seem to be looking at you like they are really responding :)
-
When you get eye level, nose to nose, they seem to respond even more to you. When I was feeling ill, Peeky seemed to sense it. He was so sympathetic as he was lying by my side. He looked right at me and bent his head in a way as though he wanted to ask what's the matter? Do you have a cold? He was so sweet the whole time he was on.
Now he has a cold. Poor little guy. :( I hope J.C.and Penelopie don't get it.
-
Hehe yeah, I always used to wonder how to look my pleos in the eye! :)
-
Heh Baxter caught a cold last night poor lil guy soon got over it though, never heard such cute noises or seen him wipe his nose like that :p still surprising me

Just remember, those big blue things on the side of your pleo's head are purely ornamental. What you need to do is look your pleo in the nose!

At least they don't have boogers! :P

But our biology has imprinted on us to look at eyes. (Helps prey animals know when they are being considered a tasty morsel, and lets the hunters know if the tasty morsel knows that.) If you want to look someone in the nose, try an elephant. there is some speculation that old elephant and/or mammoth sculls created the myth of the giant cyclops. There is a large hole in the center of the face of the scull where the trunk was attached and may have been interpreted as a large eye socket.

I'd much rather look at a pleo's nose, 49er. ;D

Genuienly amazing fact 49er lol love hearing stuff like that, do you write by any chance? you have to admit the net really is the best invention quite possibly ever; what else provides the chance to meet interesting people from all over the world. Oh yeah eyes if you want to get really interesting we could go onto the fact that an actual Camarasauraus had Monocular vision to spot predators where as Pleo has a low form of Binocular vision. Bit ironic really they had great eyes yet my Baxter can't tell the difference between an orange and his leaf.
Oh ye, but Pleo is a ickle juvenile though so it doesn't even matter ::)

Thank you for the compliment, but I had to laugh at that statement as the one thing that kept me from getting a college degree was English 101. (College level English.) Until a few years ago the idea of writing a 300 word essay would have been more frightening than running a 26 mile marathon in bare feet, and believe me, I'm no runner. As far as trivia goes, I'm quite curious and pick up all kinds of odd facts. :)

Your correct about the skull the Cyclops legends mainly come from Greek origins and it is believed that elephant skulls were found by the Greeks when they visited Crete and Sicily.Given the inexperience of the locals with living elephants, they were unlikely to recognize the skull for what it actually was and concluded it was the skull of a giant with one eye.

With your bare feet? Must be pretty ambidextrous toes! ;)

After I got married my better 3/4 "civilized" me by eventually training me to wear shoes. So I had lots of opportunities to pick up "odd facts." :D

Heh well i think you'd make a great writer 49er, as for interesting facts i think it's just a side effect of a good life.
