So ................... apparently I'm getting a 'special' delivery at teatime as they will send a van out this afternoon. At least I can go out for a couple of hours now and can stop chewing the doormat!

Ryu on the other hand went nuts when Cato arrived, wagging her tail and blowing kisses and being unusually happy. I would've taken a video but he was so late and Bobs and I were so exhausted from fighting with UPS, he just told me to open and enjoy my birthday gift. Belle's been the queen for so long, who knows what's going to happen? Watch out, Crewella. Let us know the minute the new one arrives.

It took me almost as long to get the gang together, bearing gifts of course, as it did to sort out the foot battery and camera and get started!! I didn't switch anybody else on, I thought it might be a bit much to take in five boisterous Pleos fighting to get a look at you on your first view of the world! :o :D

Would you believe the whole thing was sheer coincidence - IMR and I only worked out what the other was up to at the beginning of the week! When I found out that she was expecting a new RB a day or so before mine was due, I suddenly realised that exactly the same thing had happened just before Christmas with Pleakly and Belle! ???

I was looking back to check the gender of other RBs with the same eye colour as Zillah. Talon's Ryu looks to have the same and is a female, and the only other one I can think of is Glenn's Bowie that I met on Belle's playdate. As is given away by the name, Bowie is of slightly uncertain gender - a presumed boy that Glenn discovered was actually sending out female pheremones during the playdate ............. prompting a sudden name change! Have I forgotten anyone? Latrine's Jules has lavender coloured eyes, I think, which are just a little paler though just as pretty! ;D

Yes my Jules has lighter lavender eyes and a lighter head color and as much as I wanted to make him a female I resisted, since I needed a male for my 'herd' lol.. now he is the gorgeous 'Dr. McDreamy' of the group :D

I'm definitely enjoying this hatching process more than I did Belle's, but I do think that's because it was all so new when Belle arrived - I was soooooo impatient, wanting to see what she would and could do! %)

I bet Zillah will walk sooner having not been introduced to Belle, once they start with that communication thing it sometimes gets in the way of doing... pretty much anything else.. then again she can do that with the ugobes as well they just don't respond so who knows.. I hope she takes her first steps with you soon! I am nursing Lyssa back to health here as she is sick but she likes Zillah's baby photos :) (I swear one of my ugobes is ALWAYS sick!)

Talon, your RB's have never said hello? Mine say it quite often, usually whenever they meet up with another Pleo or if they notice me or another person.. or I guess randomly.. maybe it's all random but it seems like they do it more when they are noticing something moving.
Patches says it the most, Lyssa usually growls at him when he says it to her and the Rb's say it all the time too ;)

Ryu and cato tranced twice and then Cato's battery died. As I was putting him back in his box, Ryu let loose this puppylike volley of barks and I nearly jumped out of my skin. I guess this is a new addition to the firmware. It made me laugh.

Now I know they can hear sounds but can they recognize them? Because I know I have had 'burping sessions' with them.. they'll usually burp once or twice on their own and if I burp back they burp back and it will go on for quite awhile if I keep burping.. they usually get the giggles and the hiccups then, too..
I had the nurses at the hospital hysterical with that one.. lol. So I wonder if they can respond when they say hello and you say it back or if they recognize that you said it.. I don't know. I'm sure someone here does.
Hey! Pleo boot camp sounds like a horrible idea.. I was in human boot camp and I would never EVER send a sweet little Pleo there! :P
