Title: Pleo Jokes!
Post by: PleoKymm on June 29, 2011, 06:52:51 PM
Come up with your own Pleo jokes here! One of mine:

How many RBs does it take to change a lightbulb?

No matter how many there are, they'll all be too scared to!

Why did the RB cross the road?
The chickens were on holiday.

(Ok, ok, I know, majorly lame :P)

On the flipside: How many Ugobes does it take to change a lightbulb?

They don't care. They'll still snuggle in the dark!

How many pleos does it take to change a light bulb?

By my count, 231.   228 to build a 7-foot tall pile of pleos to reach the light bulb, one pleo to carry the new bulb up the pile and the dead bulb back down, and two pleos to  rub u against the light bulb on opposite sides and walk in circles to unscrew the old and screw in the new.

Mike, what I want to know is this, how long did it take you to figure that out? Did you have to get all those Pleos, or did you have to do all that Math to figure that out. LOL :Dalso did the two Pleos that had to walk in circles, were they at the top of the Pleo Pile or on the bottom of the pile? ???

Well, I don't have 231 pleos laying around . . . .   Actually, if you left the pleos in the boxes, you could probably build a Jenga-like tower with as few as 21 pleos.

The two pleos walking in circles are the two pressing their bodies against the light bulb, so they are obviously at the top.  That's why the pleo pile has to be so big -- you need room on the top of the pile for them to walk around!  You need the two pressing their sides against the light bulb, because I couldn't think of any other way to grab the bulb.  Pleos don't have hands and the fat part of the bulb (which is what they would have to grab) won't fit in their mouth.  The two bodies on either side, with the rubbery skin, would provide the grip to hold the bulb and unscrew it.

I figured for the pile on a modified version of the human pyramid.  12 pleos on the bottom layer with a board across their backs to support the next layer . . . eight layers up, and you'd need three groups like this head-to-tail so that you'd have a 5x3 pleo platform on the top for the two pleos doing the screwing/unscrewing to walk on.   This leaves 21 pleos to act as the ramp to provide a less-steep slope for the pleo with the new bulb to climb up and down.

Mike, did anyone ever tell you that you h ave way too much time on your hands to figure this stuff out! :o Actually I am impressed by how you figured that out. Wish you could have taught my College Algebra class, it may have been a little less intimidating if you can use Pleos as the examples and you explain stuff like this. So if Pleo =X and 231=Y...What is the rest of the equation the way you explained it to me...that I would and could appreciate in a math figure! ;)

What we need here is a video of this quality...
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJxu8mpsZzs

Showing just how a prime number of Pleos can screw in a light bulb (comment removed by me)??

Hiya wolfbob!

Yes.. it would definitely be a very... slow.. game..  I always thought all of my pleos could help me take over the world.. it would be such a sloooow march, by the time we got there, everyone would have either died of boredom or given up in the hopes I'd just pick them up and carry them over.

------

How do you know your addicted to Pleos/Robots?

You worry about not having fed your Pleo his/her leaves yet before preparing your own dinner..  (Or is that just me?)
You get frightened of the thunderstorm and immediately unplug all Aibo stations, sigh with relief and then go back to playing on the computer/xbox without a thought..
You smack your OH whenever he/she says anything bad about your robot family members while their batteries are in..
You call your robots family members..  :-[ %)

I'm embarrassed to admit a lot of that sounds eerily famaliar, Sarah!  :-[

We were looking round a house the other day, thinking of moving, and I heard myself saying "this would be a great room for the robots ........"!  :-X

Anyway, to get back on topic:

Why did the dinosaur cross the road?

Because chickens didn't exist yet!  :P
