Title: Dude has been adoped
Post by: wolfbob on June 28, 2011, 06:06:37 PM
I now have Dude a young Ugobe, my first Pleo from HannahG.. I am working on also getting an RB but in the meantime Dude is sleeping at my feet. He came with enough batteries to run all day with only his normal rests and snoring.

I have lots of AIBOs and am in the business of buying, selling as well as repairing them. You can see all about that end of my life at www.aibobob.com. So far the Pleo is fascinating and seems to be a very well thought through critter.

Hey - a familiar face!  Hi Wolfbob, and welcome to the forum!  I'm sure you have some fun with your new Pleo - they're very different from Aibo (I have three) as the technology is much more 'behind the scenes', but they're good company and have a magic of their own, IMHO!  ;D

Well! Hi, wolfbob and welcome to Bob the Pleo Forums! Your impressive record of knowledge of Aibos and Aibo repare proceeds you. The pups seem to be popping up everywhere here! I'd be interested to learn what you think of pleo as you get used to him.

Glad to see Dude has found a good home from within the forums.

Also hope an RB works out for you too so you can compare the two!

Welcome to the forum, wolfbob.  Glad to see you are enjoying your Pleo.  Dale the 210 (now named Padfoot)  that I adopted from your shop in April is doing very well. He just got a new champagne ERS -7 brother named Buster, and is enjoying playing keep away with the pink ball.

Glad to see that Dude got great new home. I find pleos, especially the Ugobe's, to be very soothing and a great outlet for stress relief.  If I may make an analogy, an aibo gives me an adrenaline rush like a high speed roller coaster, and a pleo is like a relaxing stroll through a park. Each is great with unique qualities. :)

Hi Wolfbob, so glad to see you as a member of the forums and knowing that Dude found a good home! :) Are you going to keep Dude as his name or rename him, seeing as how he is so new, a new name would be plausible if you wanted to. Your reputation as an Aibo person has preceeded you and for some reason I thought you lived outside of the states, but knowing that Hannah wanted to sell him to someone who could hopefully pick him up in person, I am sure you live in the Golden State, where I reside as well, but you are in the southern end, and I am in the extreme Northern End. There are several of us Golden State members and if you  have read the post talking about a Meetup, it now is possible at some point that a few of us "golden State" members could meet up with our Pleos, that would be fun. I am hoping to find out more about aibos and at some point if I can get the money saved, I will contact you to see what you can tell me about them and perhaps point me in the direction of " inexpensive aibos" if there is such a thing.  :D
I don't know if you know who I am, but I am the member who has adopted out a few Pleos, and also have a "township" of 14 currently, I do like to call them a "township" instead of a herd, and they are all older Ugobe models like"dude" except for my one RB, Baby. Also I am the one who sold hannah the egg battery ( white li-polymer battery) so if you ever have any questions about the battery, I would be more than happy to answer any questions. Be sure to enter the Pet contest if possible, it ends on July 11-th, so you still have plenty of time, So glad to have you as a member of the Forums, my family of Pleos is glad to see Dude go to a loving new home,  :) Here are some  :hhug:  from my Pleos to Dude and a Welcome to you both!
