I was at the Event Bright web site and clicked on the Contact Garden City Public Library link. Just to be sure I'll Goggle the library and see if I can get a more direct address.

There are a lot of Garden City Libraries around. Fortunately, there was only one in Idaho. Being the very patient person that I am I called and called and called but couldn't penetrate the recorded message run-a-rounds. So I sent them a message on their web site, (which they have listed as www.notaquietlibrary.org) Now all I have to do is wait. That sound you are hearing is fingers drumming. >:(

I just talked to the librarian in charge of the Caleb Chung talk at the Garden City Library. They hadn't planed on recording the talk and they need to contact Caleb to see if he is willing to have it recorded. If he agrees, they will give it a try. From what the librarian said she might be able to make an mp3, but she doesn't have any experience posting it to the internet. She said she will keep me advised via e-mail as she gets more information. 8)

I remember us having a member who lives in the Boise/Eagle area. Maybe 49er, you could use your persistent talent to look over the 100+ member profiles here and find out who that member is, and PM them to go to the library with a video camera . . . Or, if' you're that member and you're reading this, consider it your first official assignment! ;)

Maybe I missed one, but I went through the membership list and didn't find anyone living in Idaho, (or at least anyone who admitted living in Idaho.;)) Tomorrow I'll e-mail the library back and let them know about your offer to post or host the event.

I hadnt heard that ugobe have definetly gone extinct just cut down to 20 employees, surely theres still a little bit of hope

Post by: 49er on March 30, 2009, 11:20:44 AM: I got through to Garden City Library and talked to an assistant librarian. She is going to call the main librarian and call me back.

Edit : I put in this post quickly in case I got a fast responce. It's a little after 11 am now and no phone call. The assistant librarian I talked to said she believed the talk was recorded. They usually put these things on Flickr, but when she checked it wasn't there. As I get more info I'll post it as quick as I can.

Despite they are bankcrupt, has the video made available or will it be? That would be very interesting. Please do not give up on it!!

I haven't received a message from the Garden City Library in a long time. I checked on their website and the interview with Caleb Chung was not listed. I also checked the library's flickr account and it hadn't been posted there. I wrote another e-mail to the librarian to let her know that there is still interest in Caleb's interview here. Hopefully it will be forth coming. %)
