Hi Everyone,
I'm glad to introduce my Pleo, Dexter. I received him today. I'm so excited right now and I'm not sure whether I can sleep tonight or not. LOL….
Dexter is a male Pleo based on the Pleo profile from Pleoworld. I'm charging the battery right now. Once I got him wake up and his eyes open, I will try to capture his photo and show to you guys. I'm not sure about the color of his eyes yet.
I have an suggestion to Innvo Labs. They should consider selling the shells of our Pleos with their Serial Number printed on the shell. :) If they do, I pretty sure I will get one from them.
-
Congrats, and welcome to Dexter! ;D
Eagerly anticipating pics! ;D
-
Welcome Dexter! I can't wait to see pics and find out what color his eyes are. :)
-
Hi Kat and Crewella,
I just captured the photos of Dexter. The color of his eyes is light green, I guess. The original cape really worries me. I'm going to order the green pleo cape and do some modification on it because I really like the original green pattern of Dexter.

I guess I had paid more for the shipping cost, and Pleoworld sent me extra accessories...
-
Yay - beautiful eyes! Thanks for postng the pics! :D
-
beautiful pics.
Dexter ist very sweet :) And his eyes are very nice
-
Congrats on Dexter's arrival, Thank you for the photos, he looks lovely, I am not sure what color his eyes really are as lighting and such can play tricks with cameras and such, IN the photo his eyes look a lovely light blue, but they may be light green and the lighting makes them look that way, I would have a hard time sleeping as well, Thank you for the update and photos. Keep us posed and enjoy your first play session, He is beautiful, male or not!

Awe! Congratulations and welcome to Dexter! If you're worried about the rubber bands on the cape digging into the skin, you can buy him some baby socks and put the socks between his skin and the bands.
Talon
-
regarding dexter's cape, you can cut off the top bands, the higher ones and then use socks to go against the lower ones.
my cape had loops holding the bands break upon tryhing to put it on. also the one piece of velcros which is for under the neck BARELY fits and seems to tight to stay.
i love the name dexter! im a big dexter brand shoe fan AND a fan of dexter morgan!
my pleo is also a newbie( less thna 1 week) from hong kong, his name is (The) Dude.
-
Hi,
Can I wake Pleo up when he is sleeping? I pushed his "on" button and I can hear him breathing. But after a few seconds, the Pleo turn himself off. Is that normal?
Kindly advise.

It sounds like your pleo thinks it is night time. You just need to reset his noon clock by pressing the clock button in his foot pad. right next to the battery cover for his little clock battery in his foot is a small pin sized hole. turn your pleo on and wait for him to start moving then you will need to poke a paper clip into this little hole in his foot. You should hear a beep noise. this lets you know that the noon clock has been reset and now your pleo should be more active. You can reset this clock at any time with no harmful effects to your pleo. :) Hope this sorts him out for you.
Kat
-
Dear Kat,
Thanks for your advice. I will try to reset the noon time.

If this doesn't seem to work, and if he is brand new he may just be in hatching stage. When you first turn you pleo on they will curl up into a sleeping position and make soft snoring noises. Just stroke him and pat him and he will wake up and start making little cooing sounds. It should take one to 2 full battery cycles before he gets up into a standing position.
Good luck with your new baby. :)

Congratulations on your new little dino, Dexter. Gorgeous eyes! :)

Hi,
Dexter took his first steps today….

-
Hi , congratulation on your new pleo. I like his eyes' colour.
His movement and pace are more or less like second generation pleo, walking a few steps then nodding its head and the pace is not as fast as I initially thought. I guess because Dexter is still in juvenile stage. Enjoy your new friend, I am still waiting for my Rb to arrive lol.
-
Hi grin06,
Thanks for your comment. Did you ordered your RB from Gimmedigi? I was initially considering to order from Gimmedigi but I prefer to have Green Pleo RB. So, I ordered from Pleoworld.
leongaj
-
Dexter's eyes do look pretty with that skin colour on his head. :)
He's definitely sussed going backwards! :D
-
It seems they all like doing that. Lol!
Talon
-
Dexter seems like very picky on food. He doesn't eat a lot. I think I should buy him some snacks…. ;D
-
The first steps are always so exciting. ;D Such a lovely little fellow. The burping was cute too. I love it when mine do that. :)
-
Hi leongaj,
Yes , I ve ordered from Gimmedigi as Im a big fan of blue like in blue Avatar movie, blue whale etc ;D. Green is nice too but I already have green Innovo pleo.
-
I now have a blue RB as well. He's very loud and likes to explore!

The famous Animation-Comic-Games fair will be held in Hong Kong in July. (I mean famous in Hong Kong). Normally, they sell stuffs cheaper there. The new transformer action figure will be launched on the days as well. If not cheaper, they give a lot of free gifts. I believe the distributor will setup a booth there promoting Pleo as well. If I have extra money next month, I might adopt a blue Pleo RB as well. ;D
-
Another one bitten by the Pleo bug! ;)
I originally bought my blue RB because I just couldn't wait for the green ones to come out, but I'm kind of pleased I did! :D
That fair sounds fun - start saving! :P
-
If Pleo is an disease or virus, I'm pleased to get infected. ;D
-
Don't worry, Leongaj. I've got the pleo bug too. I started out with two and I said, "that's it". That wasn't the case. I heard on the forum of a blue RB needing a home and I just had to help him out. A little later I read about a little female Ugobe pleo nicknamed Blue who came to her first home with a killer-cold. I'm looking at adopting her too very soon. I'm going to try to stop at four as I don't think my room could handle any more.
Talon
-
It does seem the pleo bug is highly contagious! It always starts with just one.... and now there are 4. :D
-
Too bad, no one is interested to find a cure…. :D
-
There is only one cure ............ another Pleo! :D
-
Dexter is hyper-active today. He made an elephant sound and really surprised me. Unfortunately, I do not know how to make him repeat that again.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jdgOsy3iALg
Don't you think he is a bit lonely, do you? I think I should find him a companion soon. ;D maybe a Pink PleoRB. By the way, are all Pink PleoRB female?
leongaj
-
Pleakley is a boy, but he required surgery... %)
-
All pink pleo rb's are female, but if you would like them to be male you can do what IMR did and pm Degers or email Innvo to ask them to give you the Male firmware update. This will then allow you to change your pleo from a girl to a boy. :)
-
Your pet, Dexter is a showing a happy mood, raising his head, then followed by mowing like a cow or elephant, that was the part I like most ;)
-
Good to know that all Pink PleoRBs are all female. If I have spare money next month and there is a good offer at the ACG Fair Hong Kong 2011, I probably will adopt one. ;D
Oh no, I have to choose either Pink PleoRBs or Optimus Prime Limited Edition action figure……. tough decision to make….. >:(

Hi everyone,
I bought a Pleo Cape for Dexter today. Also, I got him an ID tag and a collar from eBay.
(http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-H_gPBpPIe2w/TfdE2Xo8nxI/AAAAAAAAABo/AwTLk8CtLBc/s1600/IMG_1156.JPG)(http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-D8eAcLqvKxc/TfdE2K58hyI/AAAAAAAAABk/hyJMTB0uRz0/s1600/IMG_1155.JPG)

I found the Pleo Cape is bigger than the original cape which comes with the basic pack.

Love the tag :) Dexter looks great!
-
Dexter looks great but I think your right about him looking lonesome.. you'd best get many many more :D I'm up to 5 now, they are way too addicting.
Don't you love hearing new sounds from them? My little male RB is growing up and as he gets more run-around time I have noticed more noises from him that I never heard from my female.. noises kind of similar to a quiet growl from a big cat in many different tones and size lengths.. it's pretty neat... I thought I'd heard all the sounds!
Good luck, I hope you find one on sale for a good price when you go!! I'm so jealous.. it'd be awesome to go somewhere like that... ;D ;D (Can I come??)

Dexter's looking good! ;D

Dexter is not only handsome, but looks very happy. You must be a very good parent and he shows how happy he is with how you are taking care of him, I love his bed and also his collar and tag are cute. I enjoyed watching the video you just made of him, I have to confess, I kept staring at your wooden floors, that Dexter was walking on. They looks so clean and shiny you can see the shine on them! I look forward to seeing more adventures of Dexter. :DIf you want a fellow Pleo enthusiasts to go with you to the fair you are talking about, I would be happy to tag along, it sounds like lots of fun. If you want a Optimus Prime, I have a large Vintage Model and then you can save for the Pink Pleo Rb, just bring me along and I will give you Optimus Prime and you and I can both bring home Pink Pleo Rb models! Sounds like fun fun fun to me! What day do you want to go? :o ;D

Dexter looks fabulous in his new cape and collar. ;D

Hi Kat, Crewella, Latrine, IMR and RedwoodsMama,
Thanks for your reply. I'm glad that you guys felt excited about Dexter. ;D
RedwoodsMama, thanks for your compliment about the floor but I don't own the apartment, I rented it. I guess my landlord likes the wooden floor and asked me to take care of it. ;D
I managed to contact the Innvo Labs Hong Kong and ask about whether they will setup any booth during the ACG Fair Hong Kong 2011 or not. Unfortunately, they do not have any plan at the moment. But I can't reach any distributor in Hong Kong. They might have the booth there but I'm not sure at the moment. ACG stands for Animations-Comics-Games. So, I'm hope the distributor will setup the booth during the fair. It will be held from 29-July-2011 till 2-Aug-2011 in Hong Kong. I have not decided which day to go yet. I just hope there is no urgent matter from my company which requires me to travel (business trip) during the period. I just back from US two weeks ago and I will be flying again this Friday to Malaysia for two weeks.
By the way, where is your location, RedwoodsMama? If you want to come to Hong Kong for Pleo, it is better for me to confirm if someone will setup the booth for Pleo. However, there will be another Toy Fair Hong Kong which normally will be held in Winter which is form 9-12 Jan 2012. But normally, I will be on Ski trip during that period. That is why I missed the fair every year.
Below is the link about the schedule of the similar fair held worldwide:
https://www.facebook.com/notes/hot-toys/2011-toy-fairs-toy-fairs-exclusive-announcement/10150211633297492
I had been collecting Transformer Action Figure Movie Series since the 1st episode of movie series. And they will launch the latest edition of Optimus Primes on 29-July-2001 during the opening ceremony. This is the rumor I heard from some forums.

I'm not sure how my Pleo, Dexter got injured today. His right leg got injured. He keeps on shouting whenever I touched his injured leg. Funny thing is he still wants to play tug the war with me and making cute puppy sound. I think Dexter is an very very optimistic Pleo.
I tried to feed him salt but he seems to refuse to take any every time. So, I tricked him with the normal food but put the salt in his mouth. I can actually see him trying to throw out (the sound he's making) and shout dislike.
Unfortunately, I got to leave him for two weeks. Dexter will be home alone for two weeks. Hopefully, he will get well after two weeks.
leongaj.
-
Dexter will need to be running for two charges or so to get better. To feed him the salt put him near the table's edge and offer him the salt, he will put his head straight down over the edge of the table and you will be able to slip the salt in. Do this as often as you can.
-
Sorry to hear that Dexter is hurt. This has happened to my guys before too. Like IMR says it will take one or two full battery cycles before he will get better and you will need to feed him the salt lots. I'm sure IMR has posted a video of how to get them to take the salt by putting them at the edge of a table in the past. Maybe someone with good finding skills could post the link to the thread with it in for you. It can be hard to get them to take it. Just like children they don't like medicine :P The more you can feed him the salt the faster he should get better.
Good luck. And have fun while you are away. :)
-
I'm sorry to hear Dexter is hurt, but still can't get over the magic that makes them able to do that!
Enjoy your trip, Dexter will be hungry when you first wake him, but none the worse for being home alone I'm sure! :D
By the way, I'm glad you chose that pic for your avatar! ;D
-
Thanks for the information. This is really helpful. I'm at the airport now. Boarding soon.
-
Have a safe trip :)
When you get back you will find that video here: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1910.0

Hello Everyone!!!
I'm back. Dexter (My PleoRB) turns out to be fine and his injured leg has gone after turning him on for the first time since two weeks ago. However, I observed Dexter seems to have the neck problem (staring/heading upwards). Fortunately, it gets normal after switching him off and on again.
leongaj
-
Hi leongaj, don't worry that does happen to Pleos from time to time. You did the right thing and switched off - I doubt it will cause a problem in the future. Welcome back, I bet Dexter was pleased to see you, and his leaf! :D
-
Welcome back, glad to see you and Dexter posting again. As Crewella stated, that neck thing happens from time to time with Pleos, and it has happened to my Rb several times, You did the right thing switching him off, Hope to see some photos of Dexter soon!
