Welcome to the forums!
I hope you enjoy your new RB.
I believe the beeping that you describe is related to the battery clock not being properly inserted.
From this post: http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1617.0
My new Pleo RB turns on, but stands straight and makes a constant beep, beep, beep?
The clock battery, that goes in the foot, is either dead or inserted incorrectly. The battery should be inserted flat side upwards, with the two tiny metal tabs on the side of the compartment touching the top, or flat side of the battery. You may need to gently lift these tabs upwards so that they touch the top of the battery.
And here http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1910.0 are some videos made by one of our members that may be of assistance to you.

It should look like this:

Make sure the longer metal "tab" is underneath the battery and that the two little ones are on top of the battery (the rectangle).
It is also possible that the battery is bad so if you have another one to try that's something you can do.

yeahhh... ;D
tq vey much.
my pleo now in hatching progress =)
can i buy u pleo accessories for thanks from me
=)
-
A thanks is plenty enough :)
The only reason that came to mind immediately was because I had the same problem. Luckily someone here on the forums (kat I do believe) had already pointed out the issue. On my blue RB those little tabs required some bending to make it fit, and I don't like to bend new stuff so I came to these forums first - it's why we're here!
Glad the solution was easy so you can get to enjoying your RB!
