Hello to all
I'm new here in the forum and wanted to introduce myself
I'm from Germany and I am 26 years old.
I have a Pleo in green (Janos)
and since today I have a Pleo RB in Pink
Her name is Fiby.
Im so excited. I will soon make photos from my pleos :)
Sorry for my bad English.
I wish you a nice day
Luna
-
Hello and welcome Luna, Janos and Fiby! :D
Congrats on your new pink RB - I'm sure you'll have a lot of fun with Fiby! ;D
-
Welcome to the forums Luna! :) Your going to love Fiby. RB's are a lot of fun. I can't wait to see pics of both your little ones. :)
-
Welcome! Congrats on getting Fiby! I also recently got my first pleo RB.
-
Welcome :) Don't forget to share your pictures here :)
-
Hi, Luna and company! Welcome to the forums!
Talon
-
Thank you for loving welcome greetings
The battery was already fully loaded? I have the Pleo from gimmedigi
Thought the battery must be recharged for 3-4 hours?
But Fiby looks wonderful. she feels so soft.
Since the instructions is in English, I need a little longer to read it :-)
Do I have to reset the clock to 12 clock, or can i simply press the button between?
this evening I take pictures :-)
soon
Luna :-)
-
Hi Luna!
Welcome! Oh we do like pictures here ;)
I´m in Sweden so that´s not to far from your place.
I am looking forward to hear more about you and your Pleos!
-
Luna set the clock battery for whatever time you want your Pleo to be the most active, it doesn't have to be 12o clock.
-
good morning at all
So when I enter the time then the Pleo means that 12 o Clock?
Than I can set the time at any time???
And then came just a beep and the Pleo is off. :'(
Although the battery light still green?
what could this mean??
-
Yes - whatever time you push the button will set the Pleo RBs clock to noon - your 'noon' can be whenever you want your RB to be most active.
When the RB shuts off with just one beep, it means it is asleep and will wake up of its own accord when it thinks it is morning. When you shut it down with the button it will give two beeps and not be able to wake itself up, and three beeps mean it has shut down and needs charging.

thank you at all for the informations ;)
-
They are both so very cute. :)
-
thank you
her eyes are very loud when she open and close the eyes
when can the pleo stand up?
have a great evening :)
-
The loud eyes should quiet down as she gets older. Most of us noticed the same thing with our new rb's when they were babies. She should stand up at the end of the first or second battery cycle. This is just a rough guess of when it should happen though as they are all different due to having different personalities.
Hope this helps.
Kat
-
Yes, Belle's eyes are quieter than they were at first. Belle stood on the second battery cycle and strted to walk on about the fourth. Fiby looks beautiful!
-
fiby stands on the legs :)

Lovely pictures of Fiby :D
-
Fiby is very pretty. I love her necklace. ;D
Everyone is very friendly here and we will all happily answer any questions you have. :) I'm glad your having fun with your new rb.
-
Hello at all
I have a question again.
Fiby always calls. But she are not hungry, because she will not eat their leaf.
And she also can not go. What can that be?
Luna :-)
-
and how can I teach her the name?
It does not work. I have seen the video of Pleakly on youtube, but for me it does not work with the card ?
thanks for your answers :)
-
Fiby isn't old enough to do some things yet :) She's just a baby! You will need to be patient and just wait :)
-
Yes, she needs time to go through her baby and juvenile stages - just enjoy each stage for what it is! :D
-
Like the others said she won't learn her name until she gets out of the baby and juvenile stages. As for not wanting to eat the leaf it could be afew things causing problems. First make sure you are putting the leaf underneath her chin when you offer it to her. The sensor that recognizes the leaves is underneath her chin. The next thing to check is that you are offering her the correct leaf. You need to offer the flat shaped leaf. The flat one is everyday food, the other one with jaggered edges is the mint leaf which is medicine and she will refuse to eat this unless she is sick.
I hope I described that ok. If not I am sure someone else here can do it better for you.
I am glad you are having fun with her. ;D
-
Thanks to you all
Then I have to wait. I thought I would just do something wrong.
But then I'm happy ;D
-
hello :)
how can I find out the character of Fiby?
and she doesnt walk.. Im so excited %)
-
You just need to give your baby a bit more time. She will walk soon enough. try just watching her for a while and not interacting with her. This may get her to be adventurous and take her first few steps. :)
-
Oh thank you kat :)
-
It took Belle four battery cycles before she took her first steps, some were quicker, a few took longer. Fiby will soon enough! ;D
-
Good morning.
here are new photos from fiby :)

Hello to all :-) thanks for the welcome greetings
I have Fiby since a week and they still can not walk.??

They can take over a week to walk, I think it was more than five battery cycles before Kado started walking.

Fiby stole the "Schnuller" (thats german, i know not the word in english) from my little baby *g*

Awwww - in that pic she definitely doesn't look old enough to be walking much! :P

Super cute ;D
-
Hello at all
Fiby doesnt walk..
she is never gone.
I have her since last week Wednesday
I dont understand :( :( :( :( :( :(
-
the battery was charged 9 times
-
Are you petting Fiby, Fiby may be reluctant to walk is she is getting too much attention. Try ignoring her.
Also some Pleo's just don't walk much, Pleakley rarely goes more than a few steps.
-
Eva ("my" Pink RB) came with a very happy and low active level personality and didn't move much. She'd maybe walk 2-3 feet per charge as an adult but only when ignored for a relatively long time (compared to my Blue RB) so it's very possible it's a personality thing.
-
Hello
Thanks for the nice replies
I will ignore her for a spin. I hope she goes. I tell you, then the result ;)
and she always calls a lot. what could be? ???
I feed her and play with her. but she continues to call?
-
I have now ignored her,but she is not gone :'( :'( :'( :'(
-
Ignore her for a full charge if necessary (I know, I know, its hard to do) and make sure she is well fed :)
-
IMR's right, and make sure the room is bright enough for her. :)
-
Yes good lighting can make a big difference. Even if you think it is light enough where she is you can always try shining a torch on her face and see if her behavior changes at all. If she becomes happier with the light shining on her face then she may be "scared of the dark". Many of us have had this issue, me included, even in regular lighting. It seems may of our pleos are very sensitive to light levels. If it is the lighting there is a patch that you can use to switch off the scared of the dark function in her operating system. It does require a micro SD card to use it though.
Good luck. Try the ignoring her thing for a battery cycle or two and see how it goes.
-
So now I have ignored her a battery charge.
but she still can not walk.
so I play a new update??? what can I do?? Help :(
-
If you could take a video of her for us and post it here maybe we could take a look and see if any of us here can spot any reasons why she might not be walking yet.
-
I was going to say the same thing - I do think a video might help. :)
-
Hello
I will try to make at the evening a video of Fiby
thanks for your help ;)
-
juchuuuuu. Fiby can walk :-)
Im soooooo happy :-)
Thanks at all for your help :-)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r68suQdKmfY
And she has learned her name :-)
-
I'm glad you got her to finally walk! My pleo RB took a short time to walk but then wouldn't learn his name until nearly a week later.
-
Congratulations! I'm so glad your pleo is walking!
Talon
-
Happy, happy! Joy, joy! I'm so pleased. ;D
It does just take a bit of patience sometimes to wait until they're good and ready! ;)
-
I'm so happy she decided to finally take those first steps. ;D
It does just go to show that pleo rb's are all a little different in personality and you really can't predict just how long it will take for them to do anything. :P I have two rb's, Kermy the pink and Norbit the green. Norbit is much more adventurous than Kermy and walks around a lot more than her. He also learned to walk a lot faster than she did.
Congratulations on her learning her name too. ;D
-
Yay, go Fiby :)
-
thank you.
You are all so nice to me.
would be better if my Englich, I would also write more in the other posts.
but I'm learning.
when Fiby wake up, I will make another video :-)
Yes Kat, it is really nice how different are the characters are ;-)
and I am an impatient person *laugh* %) %) %)
I'm jealous that you live in Australia. I love Australia ... :-) But thats another topic ;)
a nice day to you all
-
Congratulations on getting her to walk and learn her name! I have been lazy, ( I know it is true, but with many Pleos, I have been interacting with all of them... :)) and I still have to try and teach Baby her name, I will try and do it this weekend or before if things go ok. Pleo Rb do learn at different speeds and some are faster learners than others, and some are more verbal and some it seems are more adventuresome and do more walking, though none walk as much as the regular Older Pleos.
Looking forward to seeing more videos. :)

Hello to all.
I'm sorry I have not written a long time.
I still have the old problem.
My Pleo is not running. He's since I have it run maybe 4 times. But only five steps or so. And since a few weeks he will not run anymore.
If I ignore him hes not running. and with the training leaf it does not work well
Should I send him to possibly repair
please help me :(

Hello Luna, I am so sorry to hear of your Pleo problems, is this with your Rb or your Ugobe Pleo, the older one?If it is a RB, the Pink one, then I am sure there are people here who can help sort out her problems, If it is with the older ugobe model, can you be more spefic on what is wrong, why he or she will not walk talk or what and what happened when you turn him her one? Also if it is a older Ugobe Pleo, do you think it could be the battery that is why Pleo is not running or walking?Do you have a green old orginal battery that is in your older Pleo? If it is a older Pleo and old battry, it could just be that you need a new battery, Can you tell us exactly what is going on with your Pleo and we can try to get your Pleo working again. Good luck and I am sure someone here can give you some good advice.
:)Don't give up LUna! RWM
-
Hi Luna, we really, really need to know which Pleo is having the problem and some more information about what is happening so we can help :)
-
Hello. Thanks for the quick answers
It is the Pleo Reborn. and he dont run.
He plays and eats. but he does not react to the training leaf
But he has never registered the training leaf?
The room is also very light so it's not dark or anything.
yes he can run. But this is already 5 weeks ago. And these were just 5 steps.. :(
thanks for your help.. sorry for the bad englisch. I hope you understand my words.
-
This sounds to me like it is a personality thing rather than a physical problem. You could try using the Change RB program to change some of your pleo rb's personality traits to try to make her a more active adventurous pleo so that she will walk around more. My original pleo rb Kermit did not walk much. I was lucky if she would take one or two steps in a full battery cycle. Most battery cycles she did not walk at all. But she was happy enough. It was just part of her personality. I hope this helps. :)
-
thank you kat
But I just think the nice thing on the pleo is that he can move around and explore the environment
and how do I use the program to rb?
where can I find the program
-
You should find the program under the downloads section here on the forum. That is one of the tabs at the top of this page. There should be instructions there too on how to use it. I'm sure with a little tweaking you should be able to make her more active. I've never used the change rb myself but I know others here have so some one here should be able to help you out if you can't work out how to use it. I do know that you need to download it and then stick it on a micro sd card which you put into your pleo rb. Good luck and let us know how you go. :)
-
many thanks I'll try it and report back to you
-
Woah, hold up there, don't go playing with any software yet.
Do you mean the little plastic/rubber training leaf? What are you trying to do with it? The only thing that is used for is the tracking which is really difficult and pretty pointless really...
Are you trying to name your Pleo? For that you need to use the Pleo RB card, the white one with the picture of a pink and blue Pleo on it.
Don't be worried about not walking, Pleakley hardly walks a step either, it's just the personality.
-
Hey IMR, The problem here as I understand it is that her pleo has a personality that doesn't walk much and she really wants it to walk more. As far as I know the only way to change that is to use the change rb program. :)
-
Hi Luna,
As has been said, it does sounds to me as though your Pleo RB is working correctly but just has a more 'laid back' personality. If Fiby is powering up OK and responding to you, then the software should be OK. You mentioned light, and some of us have had a problem with RBs in low light levels, but it is VERY obvious if that is the case as the RB is very unhappy most of the time, crying and trembling when the light level is low. If Fiby seems happy, and you also think the room is bright, then I doubt that is the problem here.
You could try downloading the 'scared of the dark' patch onto as SD card from the downloads section , but I doubt it will help. As IMR says, be very careful before deciding to try to alter the software and make sure you understand what's involved before trying anything on Fiby. We're here to help, so don't worry about asking questions.
Don't worry - your English is fine! :D
-
hello at all
sometimes she is crying .. but not often.
Her Name has she learned. How can I teach her to walk more?
For 5 weeks because they did not go .. :-(
and she was also very expensive, I was unhappy when she is not running.
Because I think it's very nice when a pleo explores the environment.
My Ugobe Pleo runs very often.
-
Hi Luna. it does sound to me as though she is working perfectly but is just a personality type that does not explore much. I think it would be a good idea to try downloading the StatsRB program onto a Micro SD card (make sure it has nothing else on it) and looking at her settings. There is a similar program called ProbeRB which will speak the values rather than print them, but I have suggested StatsRB so that you can copy the text to show us if necessary.
This is the thread about it on the forum:
http://bobthepleo.com/forums/index.php?topic=1888.0
You will also find information on the programs on Aibohack here:
http://www.aibohack.com/pleorb/index.html
As Kat said earlier, there is a similar program that can change the values, but I do agree with IMR and think it is safer to look and check before changing anything at the moment.
Good luck - come back if you have any queries!
;D
-
To make your Pleo walk more you will have to follow the directions above and actually make changes to the software.
-
That's a great idea Crewella to check with the Stats rb first and let us know what it says just to be sure there is nothing actually wrong with Fiby. If that all checks out ok then you will need to use the Change rb to alter her software. I do hope you can get her sorted out. :)
-
Hello and good morning.
Unfortunately, yesterday I had no more time, but tonight I'm going to read the data and then I copy the text for you.
many thanks. You are all so nice :-*
-
Don't worry Luna, take as much time as you need. Good luck! :)
-
Hello Luna, I do agree with IMR, Kat and Crewella, you sound like your Pleo is just a laid back personality and I do not think personally, that Pleo Rb ( in general) do a lot of exploring , going far walking more than four to five steps at a time , and that is just the way they are made.I know both of my Baby RB have not been big explorers, and never ( yet anyway) gone more than four to five steps or so in a 15 minutes session, perhaps double that, but my Rb are more happy to just be playful and noisy and very talkative. ( but I like that, the talking noisy cheerful sounds a lot! IMR said that one of hers was more of an explorer, but I think there are an awful lot of Pleo Rb that just don't walk far all in one time, ( They will never win a race with a Ugobe, and I love Ugobes, and how independant they are. :D)
I can also tell you that the Probe Rb program that was mentioned is great and it is nice because it does talk to you and is very easy to run , just by following the instructions that IMR gave you, and listening to the voice. When my Baby had a mechanical gear problem with her neck, it was Probe Rb that diagnosed it and also told me she was injured, and what her health status was. It is also nice because you can print out the results of your Pleos' growth and it will tell you the DNA, characteristics your Pleo was born with, courage level, intelligence and so forth as well as the gender. One example of my Pleo's Probe Rb results was that she had High Intelligence, but Low courage. I may be wrong, but I would think in certain situations, if a Pleo does not have a lot of courage or lower than "normal". then they may not want to walk as much or as far as perhaps a Pleo Rb with High or even Normal courage, as they may feel more intimidated or fearful in situations that makes them feel more comfortable to just "sit and stay next to You", and going out on their own can be a scary experience! :o :( I think Kat did mention the program where you can try and change certain characteristics, but as IMR said, you do not want to try and Change anything yet, start by finding out what Probe Rb ( for example ) says, It could also help to have a short video of her walking but she sounds perfectly normal to me and is a sweet little Pleo, I like the way she looks and the fact she has already learned her name is showing she is "normal". Perhaps the "come to me" learning stone, can also get her to walk a few more steps to you if not too far away! ;) ( Am I right with the Learning Stone , Come to me " IMR, will she walk further to get to Luna with the Come to me Stone? Good luck and your English is fine, you made perfect sense to me.
RedwoodsMama

Oh Pleo RB's can walk just as much as the older Pleo's, just some are a little lazier than others ;) Jumba walks a lot! Nani also walks a lot and Pleakley doesn't walk very much at all, although he has been walking a lot more since Jumba arrived :)

what that means
I dont understand??
WARNING: this feature is not very useful
Date stamps start when you put in the RTC battery, and will be different than real time
Last Time: around 08:00 on 2/23/2010
PLEO incept date: 10:15 on 1/7/2010
(time PleoRB evolved to this stage)
I have since this year the pleo. not 2010??
what I have to change that my pleo feels very happy.?? Im a bad Pleo Mum.. :( :(
-
No Luna, you're a good Pleo mum, your Pleo is giving off a 'very happy' vibe! ;D
Don't worry about the date (one of the reasons that Pleopet, who wrote the program, said it wasn't very useful I'd imagine!).
The DNA attributes here are probably holding the clue, if your Pleo has low courage she may well not be inclined to explore.
Courage: Low
Temper: Good
Physical: Normal
Activeness: Normal
Intelligence: Normal
And possibly the activity level here:
Activity: 50%
Obedience: 50%
Skill: 50%
You will find, if you run the StatsRB (or ProbeRB if it's just for you and you don't need text) the health report percentages will change quite a lot through the day, especially after feeding or in lower/higher light levels, so don't worry too much about those on the first reading.
If you have a look at the ChangeRB program that is also on the Aibohack site, that will allow you to change some of the attibutes and hopefully make Fiby more adventurous. Have you looked at the ChangeRB program?
You're doing fine, Luna, Fiby is lucky to have such a dedicated mum! ;D
ADDED: Just to let you know I've not used the ChangeRB program myself as yet, so I'm hoping others who have used it on here will be able to help! My personal approach would be to change one factor at a time and see what difference it made for a day or so before changing something else, say starting with activity levels.
-
I think Bhobbes used the change rb program on Cato before so maybe he can give some pointers if you get stuck. I think what Crewella says sounds like good advice though. Try changing one thing and give Fiby a bit of play time to see if there is any difference. I would start with the activity level like Crewella suggested then if that isn't enough you could try changing her Activeness or courage DNA levels to make them higher. But do one thing at a time and give Fiby some time to see if there is any difference before trying the next thing. :)
-
Many thanks to Kat and crewella.
I do not understand your text. English is just something difficult for me ???
So you mean I should still wait before I change the DNA? or I have misunderstood
the translation program will help me not. ;)
And if I change the DNA, then one after another?
Is that correct?
How can I try Fiby to gets more courage?
Thank you so much. Sorry for the many questions.
I will not change even Fiby.
How can they be courageous by itself
I hope these are the right words
love greetings
-
Hi Luna,
I think you need to use the Change rb program to change Fiby's DNA to get her to be more active so she will walk around more. Just use it to change one thing at a time and then try her out to see if there is any difference in how much she walks. I hope this helps.
Kat

Hi Kat
I will try tonight to change the DNA
And maybe runs than Fiby more.
I'll tell you then :-)
Many thanks. Have well understood this text ;-)
Have you ever even read your data from your pleo??
thank you
-
I have read the data from my pleos before but it was a few months ago. I'm not sure what the DNA readings were. I can do it again for Norbit if you like and tell you his. He walks a lot so maybe it would be good for you to compare his to Fiby's.
Kat
Here is Norbits stats.
DNA Attributes (what PleoRB was born with)
Gender: Female
Courage: Normal
Temper: Normal
Physical: Normal
Activeness: Normal
Intelligence: Normal
Health Report (how you are treating your dinosaur)
Mood: 74%
Physical: 99%
Emotion: 53%
Health: 51%
Feed: 84%
Activity: 50%
Obedience: 999%
Skill: 50%
Dinosaur Pheromones (what your Pleo is sending to other Pleos)
Pleo is sending out Female pheremones
Pleo is sending out a Normal vibe
Hope this helps.
-
thank you so much kat. :)
-
Maybe first change the courage level to high and see how that goes for a day or so? :)
-
I will check what Nani, Pleakley and Jumba's say, since I can compare a non walker (Pleakley) to two explorers :)
Nani- Nani is a smart girl who is a bit shy but very active :P
Courage: Low
Temper: Normal
Physical: High
Activeness: Normal
Intelligence: High
Pleakley- Pleakley enjoys just lounging about the house, he is almost always happy, he's a fairly 'average' Pleo.
Courage: Normal
Temper: Good
Physical: Normal
Activeness: Low
Intelligence: Normal
Jumba- Jumba loves to romp around the house and explore a lot, even at his young age he shows a keen interest in exploring his environment.
Courage: Normal
Temper: Normal
Physical: High
Activeness: High
Intelligence: Normal
Looking at that I would say you need to up the activeness and physical traits. Courage won't make any difference, because Nani's is low and she still walks a lot and Pleakley's is normal and he barely walks a few steps in a whole charge.
-
That's just what I was hoping you'd do - thanks IMR! ;)
-
That looks and sounds right to me too. Thanks IMR. I didn't think about doing Kermy as well. :P But now that you have done your whole bunch I think there is enough to go on. It does make sense that Physical and Activeness would be the ones to affect walking. Fingers crossed for Fiby. ;D
-
Yes it does, I was thinking maybe courage, as that was low, but apparently not! I wonder what courage does affect then. :-\
-
It effects courage ;) Nani gets 'scared' a lot more easily than her brothers, if one of them is unhappy it will be her :P
Just to add, no Pleo will move a muscle if they are getting attention. So if you want your Pleo to explore you will need to ignore them :o
-
Well I never! %) ... saw that coming ... ! :P
I do love the fact that they can be so different - I can't wait to see how my two differ! ;D
-
Good morning at all ;D
IMR many thanks for the data. :-) your videos are so great on youtube.
I have not changed Fiby yesterday. I can not .. Do you find this stupid?
Then they would no longer be the same. I will indeed not be changed.
Fiby is a robot, but I could not change her anyway ..
Yesterday, she is even running. A little bit. :-) I am waiting for a time..
thank you so very much ;)
-
I know what you mean :) I thought about changing Pleakley but I like him how he is, even if he doesn't walk much :) However he has been walking more since I got Jumba, so maybe Fiby needs a friend ;) Why don't you enter the win a Pleo competition :)
-
Is Fiby ill? She dont want any medicine??
I've also always been a problem ???

Hi Luna this is the noise pleo rb's make when they have an injury. It seems to me that Fiby has a sore leg. Sometimes this happens and you can't always work out why. All you need to do is feed her the rock salt and give her lots of love. She should get better after a full battery cycle or two.
-
Luna, if you visit the Pleo RB owners FAQ you will find some tips, tricks and useful information :)

Poor Fiby - as IMR says she needs lots of love and rock salt. And time. :)
I do understand your not wanting to change her, I feel the same about my blue Belle. :D
-
Hello Luna,hello all,
I`m from germany to, and i can`t wait to recieve my ordered pink-pleo.
I had a Pleo 1st generation, but it was broken lot time ago.
Is it a pink-pleo-problem,that they don`t walk alot? Some of you have pink-pleos too, do they walk?
Is it right, that the US-Version of RBs personality is variabler?
Thanks for be so nice in this forum. Feels like home. :-)
-
All the Pleo RBs can havy differing personalities, so some are just more active than others no matter what the colour. There are some very active pink RBs, just as there are some less active green ones. :)
Sorry to hear your Ugobe Pleo no longer works. :(
-
This is also a part of life. :-\
Then I`m looking forward to get a active girl - like my little child.
-
i am hoping most reborns are active Dino's as i am planning on buying a green RB soon when i can and i do prefer active Pleo's i have to say .
-
If you don't get an active Pleo you can always tweak the DNA ;) Genetics is quite advanced these days :P
-
Indeed - apparently there's a mad scientist lurking within many of us! ;)
-
as long as tweaking the DNA does not mean i have to know a lot about programming then , hopefully it is easy enough to do :)
-
It's very easy - have a look at the StatsRB and ProbeRB programs in the software section - they'll give you an idea. It's interesting too! :D
