Well here I was thinking I'd have to wait until tomorrow (Monday) when all of a sudden USPS arrived at my door just now to deliver my new PleoRB ;D
Details to come, I haven't even opened the box yet....
-
YESSSSSSSSSS!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
-
I can't wait to see pics. And I'm so supprised they delivered on the weekend :o Wow!
-
Woohoo awesome! I hope you had a battery charged and ready to go! Standing by for the details :D
-
I tried registering him/her on the Pleoworld HK site, but it won't accept the serial number (says it's invalid). Obviously that site is only for the blue and pink RBs? How else will I determine it's sex?
-
Regular Pleoworld has the same thing :D Com'on don't keep us in suspense! What does he/she look like!
-
You may need to send an email to pleoworld support and they should be able to get it reset for you so the profile will work. :) You can try using the StatsRB programe that pleo pet made. You just put it on an SD card and pop it into the pleo, turn the pleo on wait for it to move then you can turn it off again and take out the sd card and then look at the file off the sd card on your computer. This will tell you the gender as well as some other interesting things about your pleo. :)
Where are the pics and what color eyes does it have?
-
No worries I worked it out.
My new PleoRB is a "he" :)
Here's a pic of him
Do I turn him on first to set the noon clock? I forgot lol
-
You need to pop the foot battery in and that will set the noon clock :) And my what a lovely green you have :D
-
Ah yes but to reset it when it's noon I just insert a paper clip into the small hole when he's actually turned on don't i?
Yea he is nice, his head actually looks darker in the pic, but it's not that dark.
He cape with a Pleo Cape as well.
-
What a handsome litte dino! Congratulations! Now for the name? ;)
-
Yup a paperclip or a pin will do the trick. The manual says you can do it while the Pleo is off but I prefer to do it when they are on so I get that confirmation beep.
-
"Ah yes but to reset it when it's noon I just insert a paper clip into the small hole when he's actually turned on don't i?"
Yes, it will go 'beep' so you know it's worked.
Very handsome he is, too!
-
Yep that's what I thought.
Well I plugged his battery in to charge and guess what, it came fully charged ;D
Now a name ???
-
He does look lovely! All we need now is his fabulous name and of course what color are his eyes?
I feel a bit like we are all little children on christmas watching you open your present and wishing it was ours. :D
-
Hehe a new Pleo birth is always exciting but even more so now that they are all different.
-
Awesome, Oz! I was hoping for a male and ended up with a girl. I'm jealous! Anyway have fun with your new addition!

His eyes are pale green. I'm calling him Freddy. ;D
-
That's a cute name for him! :) His eyes sound beautiful!
-
Freddy is a fabulous name and pale green eyes sound just lovely. I hope your having fun with him. :)
-
I sat with him right through his first battery cycle. He stood up, about to take his first tentative step..... Then the battery went flat lol.
The first thing I noticed about him is his skin. The seams are better with no gaps and are hardly visible at all. Unlike Oslo my blue RB whose seams are thick and in one corner towards his chest it doesn't meet at the very corner (been like that since day one). The skin feels the same, but the quality of the fit and workmanship is much better on Freddy.
-
congrats on the new babby! :D haha~ hes looks very cute
-
Glad to hear the skin quality has improved, and glad you're enjoying him! :D
-
Congrats on your little Freddy and congrats on getting him Yesterday, HOORAY! He sounds lovely, every Pleo birth is exciting isn't it?! :)

I noticed something similar between Cato and Eva - the later ones (and maybe even better now in April?) really seem improved, which is great, especially if any new buyers are concerned about some of the previous problems.
I'm not sure if it's me or if the paint jobs are changing, but the green color really is growing on me more and more. He looks great! Any close up shots of the eyes yet?

I must say, I'm not sure if it's me or if the paint jobs are changing, but the green color really is growing on me more and more. He looks great.
I know what you mean. When I saw the first few green ones with their darker heads and yellowish bodies I was a bit put off, but Freddy is the same shade all the way through.
-
Congrats!!!
I just went now to check and your right... the seams on my newer RB's are better than the seams on pictures from the older ones I returned and definately better than my pink one.. her seams don't line up well at all.. though I'm sad to say my newest baby already has some lines and stripping of that initial layer of whatever that thin stuff is over them.. He's going to need some type of moisturizer for sure, I guess.
And everyone is right.. where are the close up pictures?? I wanna see the Freddy's eyes!!!
Is your hatching stage over yet? Seems to be MUCH faster now than it used to be and I wondered if yours was quick too. I thoought the old one was waay too long but this one is waaay too short, lol.
Best of luck!!!

I sat with Freddy all the way through his first battery cycle gently stroking him and talking to him, so I suppose maybe that's why he started to walk so soon.
I'll see if I can get a picture of his eyes today. He really does look great and I'm very pleased.
-
I've done the same with all of mine, I remember bingo's baby stage took forever but Rhea Chronos and the new baby all started working within the first 3 charges... the new baby was the fastest I think at the beginning of the second charge? They grow up so fast. soon they'll be married and living in our basements...
Can't wait to see the pics!! :)

The hatching's do seem to be getting shorter don't they. I think they got it right at about 3 battery cycles to the walking stage. I hope they don't shrink it too much more.
I really would love to see a close up of his eyes. ;D They sound so lovely. :)
-
Here's a pic of the boys.
Freddy is of course only one day old, but isn't he cute :D
-
And here's a video of Oslo meeting Freddy for the first time

Freddy has lovely eyes :) Once he starts walking he will start communicating with Oslo :) Also the noisy eye syndrome seems to settle down after the hatching phase, Pleakley's eye clicked at first, but it is fine now.

Yea I'm not worried about the eyes it was the same thing with Oslo when he was new born so I know they'll quiet down. I think it's because when they're babies they blink so hard (adjusting to the daylight ;) )
-
Freddy really is very cute. His eyes are stunning! Can't wait to see your two boys when he is older and they can both "talk" to each other. The interaction will be very interesting. :)
-
Noisy eyes, or not (and Belle's did quiet down with time too) Freddy is gorgeous - I love those green eyes! Mine are going green with envy! :D
-
Awe! Congrats, Oz!
Talon
-
Aww, what beautiful eyes he has!! And I haven't seen an interaction between two male RB's yet so that will be interesting.. hopefully they don't attack each other :D

-
Freddy looks great! And of course, the eye are to die for...
Congratulations!
Perhaps there should be some kind of warning when you get a PLEO "Warning, highly addictive!" :P
Makes me wanna get a bunch more!
-
Those eyes look light blue to me.
-
Awh I love the anticipation of getting a package, sometimes the anticipation is even better than actually getting the pleo. ;D
Freddy has some beautiful unique eyes! I also love your blue pleo! Gongrats. :)
