I was recently offered the chance to make my quad into a quintet ;) The person is considering selling a used Ugobe Pleo, in excellent condition, with two egg batteries and chargers.
Current retail price for those items new would be $320AU postage included. ($200 for the Pleo, $60 each per battery and charger) Having never bought a second hand Pleo before I am interested in finding out what other Pleo's owners would consider a fair and reasonable price.
(If anyone is interested in a $200 Pleo...)

So the person wants exactly what it's worth if the pleo and batteries were new? I'd try to bargain down a little bit.. These items are all used so they are not worth full price, right? A new in box ugobe goes for $199. Try I'd say $230 - $250 is very fair for the bundle, not including postage. Used pleo depending on condition $150 and down.. used egg chargers are not worth 60 bucks each anymore.. no way of telling what condition the battery is in before you get it...
Best of luck!!!
If this is from someone here I don't mean to step on any toes at all, just my humble opinion :)

Those links are to new items, not the Pleo I am considering. I just put them up so that people can see what price they are new here in Australia so they can consider what would be fair for a used Pleo. The person in question is certainly not asking for full price, just a fair price.
Edit: The postage would be just shy of $20, not a particularly big deal ;)

I don't live there and couldn't access the link you gave IMR, but I do know what some of the prices I have paid for Pleos lateley on ebay, here in the US. used ones and also New ones, I have also sold Used Pleos in good condition for less than $100.00 plus the price of shipping and I also sell brand new egg chargers and batteries. I don't know what the shipping would be to Austriala but if you are ever intersted in buying another Used Ugobe Pleo at a good price, consider adopting one of myne, I also post photos of each pleo and you get a money back satsifaction, I only adopt out here on the forums and not on ebay, I don't take bids but use a adoption fee that I think is fair. Let me know if you may be interested in one of my twelve pleos, I have one saved for another member here but still have several others waiting to be adopted.
Sorry I couldn't help more with a fair price for what is being offered, I coudln't see the actual add. Good luck,

That isn't the ad, this person is not selling on ebay but they approached my privately here on the forum. That is a link to a brand new Pleo just as an EXAMPLE to give an idea of pricing here in Australia. ($200)
Thank you for the offer of another Pleo RWM, I'd have to say no though because of the cost of postage to Australia. For a little extra I could buy a brand new Pleo if I was so inclined. Plus I have four Pleo's already so I'd much rather see your Pleo's go to someone who truly would appreciate one and who might not be able to get one otherwise.
Really this is more like rehoming a pet and the owner wants their Pleo to go to a good home, not a stranger on ebay.

Thanks for explainiing IMR, that makes perfect sense to me now, I do agree you are better off getting one closer because of Postage. KaT got Gumble from me, but then again he was not brand new and we worked out a good deal, I do think you will know in your heart if it is a good deal or not usually the gut reaction is the right one, It never hurts to barter with someone for a lower price. Good luck,
RWM

It's hard to judge what a fair price is for a Pleo in Oz, but good condition Pleos in box with all accessories usually go for around £80-100 in the UK, at the moment. Plus shipping. Around Christmas it was more, but that's in the last 3 months or so.
Hope that helps. :)

I'm assuming we're talking about an Innvo pleo not a Ugobe model ;) in really good condition with little to no wear?
-
:-X Oops my bad you are right, the pictures I was sent do show the 2009 coloration.
-
Actually, even an Innvo model, barely used, failed to get a bid at £100 last week in the UK and then was snapped up for £85 (though it was badly listed and probably didn't get it's best chance)! I know because I was kicking myself for missing it! :P
HOWEVER, you have to factor in shipping and the 'fair' price in Australia would be more because of the lack of availability - check 'completed listings' on the Australian Ebay. If not enough come up, than that's a great reason for a 'fair price' in Australia to be higher than in the UK! :D
For that reason, it doesn't sound unreasonable to me for an Innvo Pleo.
-
I guess a fair price really does depend on the condition of the pleo. I would think maybe about $100ish for the pleo and then maybe $40 per battery. So all up about $180? Just a thought. Not really sure. When I was looking to buy there really weren't many out there to choose from and and they were all in other countries.

Eh ok I guess I was confused.. I still say a used ugobe pleo depending on condition (very good condition) $150 and down.. probably less if it's on e bay because they are usually looking like crap.. someone on here though would probably be offering something in better condition or they'd be honest cause we are nice here :)
So this Pleo is innvo or ugobe?

Hi Friends:
It is Ugobe Pleo, I bought our U Chai (Ugobe Pleo) many months ago form this seller.
The condition of the Pleo and batteries are new and in good working condition.
I don't get much advantage with the free shipment since I live in Hong Kong, it should be a good price for overseas buyers since the shipment is free.

The ebay link is NOT the person I am buying from, it is JUST there for comparison purposes.
The Pleo in question is owned by a member of this forum, is an Innvo labs 2009 Pleo, and is in good condition.
-
Hey IMR,
I hope you have found some of the suggestions helpful. If it is an Innvo pleo then I would need to reconsider my suggestion. You don't seem to be able to get Innvo pleos anywhere that I can see. I would suggest at least $150 for the actual pleo.
Hope this helps.
Kat :)

Thanks Kat, I appreciate all the input here. It is difficult because Innvo Pleo's are quite rare and second hand Pleo's in Australia are virtually non existent.
-
Sorry to burst in with this but what is the difference between the ugobe Pleos and the innvo pleo (not RB) did they just remake it or is it actually better in some way?
I've been considering getting another ugobe so I can have someone else here to help me test out the skits.. (Patches can't do duets, he just can't sing.. but he sure can dance!!)
Plus.. it's always great to add to the herd, we have sooo many girls here, we need another boy, or the boys might leave.. (the girls are MEAN and don't share!)

Stronger neck cable was the only major difference I think, and the paint on the legs extended a little further.
-
Thanks, InmemoryofRomeo. I was wondering what the difference was too.

The skin was also improved over the previous Ugobe model

Ok, thanks guys! Of course another one in horrible skin condition pops up on ebay.. sigh.
