Title: The Easter Pleos
Post by: kat on April 22, 2011, 10:40:01 PM
It was the night before Easter and all through the house Pleo Bunnies were stirring quiet as a mouse.
They formed up in lines to collect all the eggs then they went off to hide them while the kids were in bed. :)

The children were sleeping all peaceful and sweet dreaming of chocolate they could eat for a week.
All through the night the Pleo Bunnies would run chasing each other for some Easter egg fun.  They hopped and they tumbled and rumbled around all the while trying to make not a sound.
The hiding of eggs was just way too much fun.
There was honking and giggling and mooing as well.
Then Kermy Bunny as sweet as can be gave them one egg each to be quiet.
That worked. :D
Such happy little pleo bunnies hope they come to your house too.

Kat, I loved that so much, I was thinking of doing some Easter Pleo Bunnies, but your guys beat me to the draw, They are all so cute, I loved the little poem too, Kermy sure knew how to keep the gang in line, Wow that is some Easter Basket of Egg too  :o There are going to be some Chocolate Headaches in your house, hope the Pleos dont get too hyper. Esp Minyon and Gumble who don't have the advantage of the Pleo Rb rock salt or Mint leaf to make them feel better.  :( Great costumes and loved the bunny ears they all wore. Did it take very long to make all those ears?
So cute, hope that all the Pleo babies on this site get a visit from your Kermy Easter Bunny, only one question I know Santa has flying reindeer, how is Kermy Bunny going to leave Australia or is she just passing out Easter Goodies in the Outback this year? :D Loved it so much Kat, you are very clever, and a great seamstress . ;)

The bunny ears were very easy to make and quick.  Took about 5mins per pair.  All you need are some giant pipe cleaners and a pair of pliers to cut them with.  I cut mine into 3 lengths.  I measured the first cut by making the band on the pleos neck - bending the pipe cleaner into a curve to fit over pleos neck then cutting it to that size.  I then cut the left over bit into half and used these pieces to make the ears.  For the band I made sure to bend the metal ends away and up so they wouldn't stick into pleos neck.
To do the ears I folded each piece in half and then bent the ends of each into a loop which I attached to the band.  This gave me the basic ears.  To make them look more like rabbit ears I added a short length of a different color into the center of each ear.  I just attached this by bending the base into a loop around the band same as for the ears.
If anyone would like I can attach photos of each step to show you all how to make them if you like.  It cost me about $3 for a pack of pipe cleaners and I have enough left over to make about another 4 sets of ears.  So very cheep. :)
Have fun and let me know if you would like a how to guide for bunny ears.
Kat

Also if anyone else has some pleo bunnies to share with us I would love to see them so feel free to add them here.
We all know what rabbits are like.... they tend to breed fast so I am sure we will see many more pleo bunnies here really soon. ;D

No ears for Pleo (I just got rid of all my useless craft supplies :P), but I'm going to let him meet Thumper (my dwarf bunny) as an easter surprise.  ;) Hope all the little easter pleos have fun!

Awe, Kat that was great! No easter Pleos here but I have a Pleo for Easter. Well technically he was here tuesday but I consider Ugobe to be my Easter Pleo. Very easy way to remember his birthday, too!

kat that was so cute but I tell you, those Easter Bunnies made some scary noises :o Godzilla Easter Bunny and howling, Sounds like some Easter Bunny had a choco fix and is having Choco Withdrawls . Kermy Easter Bunny seemed a little quiet, or was it just my imaginaton? I guess I am going to have to do some Easter Bunnies myself now to see what kind of noises they will make! Thanks for the info on how you made your ears, does seem quicker than I thought!

Kermy bunny was a little sleepy as her battery was running low. :)  All that hiding of eggs really tired her out. :D

I made Pleo some ears and a tail, Mine are a bit different though. I folded some felt to make a "3D" ear and then attached it to another piece of felt and put velcro on the ends to attach it with. And the tail was just a cotten ball velcroed on :)
