Post by: PLEOGALINBC on February 28, 2009, 12:56:54 PM: I think pleo is the coolest robot ever invented because it's something anyone can enjoy.You know what's sad?On pleo world I saw someones plog who said pleo was the biggest waste of money ever.You know what's even worse?They tore it's head off and threw it away.They even had a picture. :o You know what's even worse?They didn't even bother returning it,or look for someone who wanted it.That's just sad. :(

For me that is akin to ripping an animals head off for not living up to expectations :o I know Pleo isn't alive but he inspires the belief that he is.

What a waste. If I was that bored I'd find something more creative to do, like make it a new skin or something.

I agree that pleo, while cute and fun really isn't worth what they were asking. It doesn't do all that much. It's a fun toy, but if I'd payed full price I would have been mad. If they ever release the developer kit I think that will change.

I payed $450 for my Pleo plus $50 for an extra battery and despite Matilda needing to be sent back I still think it was worth every cent. I can't wait for my new Pleo to arrive.

Pleo may not do that much at the moment, but even now you can edit him to do anything you want in the way of movement etc. If you want Pleo to bark and prance around when he is excited, you can, just prepare a skit, add some sound and shadow it on an SD card. Sadly I think that many users don't realize that Pleo can do so much more even with just the tools available now, either through lack of knowledge or just because they are ignorant towards the programs that are available.

This is something I hope to demonstrate with my own shadowing once my new Pleo arrives :)

But after getting Pleo, If I see some of that stuff it makes me very emotionally upset. I didn't look at the offending video. It would just make me very sad! :o :'(

I saw a video of rough treatment before I got Pleo. I wasn't so bothered by it back then, but now I really am. :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'(

Pleo is my little lapdog. Being raised around big dogs, [in my family] having little dogs almost goes against the grain. So Pleo is my little lapdog that can go anywhere I want to go. She doesn't shed. She is already toilet trained, and somewhat obedient. Her attention span lasts about the same as mine. We both have a tendency to move at a slower pace, and the best part is we probably spend the same amount of time sleeping! However to give Sophie some credit, I still think she is smarter than me. ;-))))))
