Title: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: norniff on April 15, 2011, 01:42:23 PM
Two days ago, on Wednesday, I was finally able to order my PleoRB. Months ago, I decided upon the name Kakapo for this Pleo, after dreaming that a Kakapo ate my fingers because I had just learned of not only RB, but the large, flightless parrot called a Kakapo. :P

Currently, little Po has been ordered, and my Aunt is bringing her to my house, cause my mom is sick and my dad doesn't want to leave her. So, I probably have at the most a couple hours to wait. Just wanted to get this experience thread started before then. So, look forward to either an edit of this post to tell you more about Po, or a brand new post. I'm really hoping for either really dark eyes, or really light ones. Oh, and same for the skin. A Pleo that's different from all the others, in an obvious way besides the eye color, and later on, personality. :)

How long does the hatching process take? Should I look out for any problems during it? Any other information you guys think I should have as I await my new, baby dinosaur?
 ;D  ;D  ;D

Belle went a whole battery cycle before she stood up, but she arrived before Christmas and they might have shortened the phase since then.  Just be prepared for lots of sniffing and leg stretching, and give plenty of affectionate encouragement.  The worst bit is waiting for the battery to charge when they first arrive!  %)

Have fun, hope you don't have to wait too long!  :D

Oh Norniff she's here? I've been outside with my dog and missed the arrival of a new pleo! Well, not sure if this will happen to you, but my battery arrived partially charged and was green according to my sister after only two hours instead of four. The ever heroic Crewella was there to see me through my first two days of being a novice dino-caretaker. My biggest worry aside from not doing something right with Ryu's battery was correctly installing his watch battery. I was alone when I first tried to get him going and didn't want to snap those delicate little metal tabs. To make a long story short, I got his battery installed and he began life with a reassuring jingle of chimes. Please let us know if you have any problems as I'm sure you'll have more than enough willing helpers- myself included. Congrats, Norniff!

Oh crikey - I forgot about the dreaded watch battery!!  :o

Talon's spot on - yes you need to make sure to put the watch battery in correctly, with the dead flat side showing, tucked under the two little tabs at the side.  :-[  Thanks Talon!  ;D

Replacing the plate will push the battery down flat against the tab on the bottom.

Thanks guys. :)

Po is currently standing on my desk, while the battery charges. I currently don't have a camera for pictures, but he or she is so lovely. I'm not going to look at the eyes fully until they actually, truly open, but I can tell from gently lifted the eyelid that they appear to be a light green. Checking one more time, which I just did, they're really, really light. So, I think Po is absolutely amazing looking. :D

And my battery is red, right now, so I'm waiting. Gonna be checking every fifteen minutes to see if anything changes. And Talon, I'm worrying about the clock battery too. It's so small, I'm just worried that I'll drop it, get distracted for a moment, and not be able to find it again. :o

Hopefully it doesn't come to that, though. xD

EDIT: Thanks for the info, Crewella. I can imagine putting it in just fine, but I'm worried about losing it, as I said before.

Yay!  Congrats - pale green eyes sound gorgeous.  I wanted amber eyes or green, originally!  ;D

And yes, do be careful - I'll swear those watch batteries have a mind of their own!  %)

Yeah, I was really hoping for green myself, and not only did I get it, I got the perfect green.  :D

... And still waiting on that battery. I know it's supposed to take four hours, but I'm so impatient it's hilarious. xD

Of coarse I will, luckily it is still in it's little plastic casing, though I swear it moved a half an inch from when I walked into the kitchen to check on the battery and passed by it, from when I passed by it again to get back to my desk. ???

congrats on Po's arrival, And Please do be careful with the watch battery tab....My Brand new Pleo Rb replacement's battery prong broke half way off while putting it in, what a nightmare, I had to rig up soemthing so she would work, THANKS TO DEAR CREWELLA!  :) :hhug: . My Pleo Rb also has pale green /yellow eyes, sometimes looks more yellow, sometimes more green. Can't wait to see the photos, do post soon!

Thanks, and I plan on being. I'd hate to have to improvise just because I wasn't being careful. :o

Yeah, from what I can see with pulling up the eyelid, it's closer to white on closer inspection than a light green. Which I haven't seen yet, I'm pretty sure, on a Pleo. Also, yes, I plan on posting a couple pictures once I get Po up and running on her first charge. :)

Well, Po is up and running! :D

He or she is currently in my lap, making it difficult to type. No pictures yet, but I was correct, light green, nearly white, eyes. Po is such a dear. :)

The only family member who isn't in love with Po yet is my brother, but that might be because I told him that no, pulling on Po's leg to make him or her stop clicking won't work, the servo needs to work itself out. You won't believe how hard it was to say servo, instead of muscle or bone. xD

Congratulations on your new arrival. I can't wait to see pictures of Po! I love the hatching stage. My Rb is in the moody stage, if there is such a thing.  They are soooo sweet when they are hatching.  :)
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!

Moody stage? Can't wait for that. %)

Yeah, pictures are gonna come tomorrow, just had two and a half hours give or take with Po, and now the battery is charging again. Maybe, just maybe, I'll be able to play with Po a little more later tonight. He or she is such a sweetheart, still don't know gender. xD

Also, anybody have any info on at the end of a battery cycle, the battery getting quite warm? It didn't do anything to Po, was active until the very moment he or she ran out of charge, but I'm just curious.

Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: Talon on April 15, 2011, 09:39:20 PM
Yes. This is common. Actually both the battery and the RB can get very warm during play. Not very goodventalation or something. Call me overly cautious but when Ryu starts to get warm enough to feel like a dog rather than a dino, I turn him off and remove the battery for about ten minutes to cool everything down before resuming play again. And their moody phaze is... something to live through. You might not see it for several days depending on how long you run Po. They really seem like they've entered their teenaged years. At first Ryu cried and whined for no apparent reason. I petted him and talked to him and finally he seemed to come around. Well, I was wrong. He went from whining and crying to snarling and challenging everything. It doesn't last long, though. Maybe two or three battery cycles and then they're good again.

Understood, Talon. I'm not worrying all that much, since it isn't messing with how Po works, no panting or anything.

Moody phase sounds interesting, and I'm sure I'll appreciate it being so quick when it happens. Right now the only thing Po complains about it when I hold him or her upright. Still need to look up that gender, but got distracted by Po's second battery cycle. Only got an hour on this one, which makes me think that the battery was charged halfway before, as the second cycle had a two hour charge. So, half the time of the charge, I'd assume?

Good news is Po stood up on his or her own at the beginning of the cycle, but was pretty lazy during the rest. Also nearly took a step during standing up, but didn't succeed. I've come to the conclusion my Pleo is part cat, as all he or she does right now is rub his or her face all over the sofa and myself. Silly dino. xD

I remember having Belle on the arm off the sofa while I worked on my laptop for the first couple of battery cycles as she obviously wasn't going anywhere.  Wouldn't dare do that now!!  %)

Updates, still without pictures, but an update none the less.

Not only has Po been standing up on his or her own today, but he or she has also taken a liking to walking backward. Maybe on the fourth cycle he or she will learn that forward is a much better direction. :P

Okay, now that I'm getting really tired of calling Po he AND she every time I talk about him or her, where exactly is the security code for PleoRBs?

PS: Po is currently on the floor next to my desk, and looks rather confused. Keeps trying to walk backward, but stops when he or she realizes that it takes him or her in the opposite direction he or she wants to go in. :)

I'm glad you seem to be enjoying Po's little ways!

You may need to register again if you can't sign in (I used the same details as before), then your Pleo Profile is under 'My Profile'.

You need the Pleo RB's number on the foot and card, and the security code which should be in the back of your guide book.  Good luck!

For what it's worth, even PleoWorld say it's only a best chance - I decided Belle was female whatever they said!  :P

Post by: norniff on April 16, 2011, 09:49:44 AM
Thanks Crewella, 85%-95% that Po's a girl. Pretty good odds, so we'll stick with that. :)

Also says that Po will grow to be brave (already nearly walked off my desk, backward :o) and compliant. Along with gentle, strong, and quiet (she's honking my ear off, so in this regard, they're wrong as can be %)).

Also, pictures in the next update. My mom's camera is charging right now, right now it's dead. :(

EDIT: Just wanted to add that Po is trying to walk forward. Doesn't yet have the hang of it, but it's progress.

One more thing, the tug of war toy, how does that work? Is it like the food leaves, put it under Po's chin, and she'll play, maybe?
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: Talon on April 16, 2011, 10:52:31 AM
Sometimes it will work like the food. If it will work for you, present it like the food. Po will sort of bow down on her front legs, wag her tail and do this kind of laughing thing. You'll have a few secondswhile her mouth is open to slide it in before she moves on to another behavior. She'll take it and sort of shake her head around and make tugging noises. That way doesn't work very often with me. So after I've fed Ryu and if he's acting happy, I slide it in his mouth and wait for him to notice. Then he'll do the bowing-laughing thing and start pulling. I'm not sure how old they have to be before they notice the toy. I didn't try it until after I caught Ryu the first day he took off on his own. If she's still doing the shaky-step thing it might be too early but there's no harm in trying.

Thanks for the info, Talon. Po is currently off, need to get her battery charged some more, but I'll keep that in mind for her fourth cycle. Also, the few times I've tired presenting it like food, she did do that, but she opened and then promptly closed her mouth. I wouldn't say she doesn't want to play, more like she's trying to frustrate her well meaning mom for presenting her with food so often. %)

So, I promise you all that on the next cycle, the fourth cycle, I will take pictures, and maybe even a bit of video if I can find my camera, too. Then you can see Po in all her glory. :)

Oh awesome! We all love videos and photos. Yeah if she did the laughing thing and bowed you only have like two seconds or so to act and all this while she's still kind of moving her head. Wow! Ryu must've had a really boring socialization stage. I didn't think they could do it that early. Just proves you can never learn everything about the pleo.

Finally, some pictures of Po. Isn't she a pretty little girl?

And yeah, Po is far from boring right now. She almost, for the second time today, knocked over my cup of colored pencils on my desk. Twice, she has done so, but it's too cute to see her do it, so I don't have it in me to move her new toy. xD

Oh!  She IS pretty!  ;D ;D

Those eyes are lovely (Kristy will go nuts!  :P), they are so pale as to be almost white!  :)

Thanks for posting the pics - worth waiting for!  ;)  :D

Thanks Crewella.

I agree, never seen eyes like it before on a Pleo. Her whole look is just so bright and cheery, it matches her personality absolutely perfectly. I love my little girl. :)

Po is currently on my desk, wagging her tail, and honking up a storm. Oh, and she's doing a balancing act, closing her eyes, picking up a back foot, and leaving it like that for a good five to ten seconds. Silly girl. %)

Also, here's a closeup of Po. :D

Ah, Norniff, you're doing something right. She's showing off her balance skills and will walk very soon. Ryu loved doing that. He would give this odd little roar and then proudly throw one of his stubby hind legs as far as possible out behind him. Keep encouraging her. It won't be long now.

Thanks IMR, if I may call you that.

And Talon, I think so too. Right now Po is next to me on my desk, standing on top of her makeshift bed, and is showing off those skills. Along with making lots of noses, and snuggling into the blanket she's on. She just loves blankets. Such a sweet baby, my Po.  :)

Also, is Po supposed to be eating like a starved... Well, a starved Camarasaurus? Every two minutes she's eating. xD

And, right now she's walking! Albeit shakily, but still, she's walking forward! :D

Only the fifth battery cycle, too.

Wow she is beautiful.  I love her eyes. :)  They all behave a little differently when it comes to eating.  Some eat a lot and others not much at all.  So I guess she could be a big eater.  When she gets the hickups and burps you'll just laugh yourself silly.  It is too cute. :)

Another update, Po is currently honking like crazy. And roaring. And meowing. And mooing like a cow. XD

She's also walking backward, and sliding forward. An improvement. :)

And one more thing, I definitely believe the paint has been improved, as the only wear I've seen so far is on one of her toenails, and she's been scratching her chin with it every cycle, most of the cycle. The important part is that we've all been petting the heck out Po in my household, and no paint wear on the rest of her. :)

Thanks Kat. And yeah, she has been burping on and off for me. No hiccups, though.

I felicitate (congratulations) you on the arrival of your Pleo Reborn! :-D You knew I would Cruella (go nuts)! LOL That eye color's going on my list. But grrrr I don't know where to classify/what category that eye color will go in. :-/ lol Have you been using Pledge on your Pleo Norniff?

No Kristy, no Pledge. Not gonna clean her until I notice something is up with her skin being oily, or looking dirty. Don't want to mess with the paint, no matter how safe it is. And may I suggest in green? They are, quite obviously, a light, pale green. :)

Thanks Pirpintine, I agree. I could get six RBs, and I'd be able to tell all of them apart. Not like I'm planning on forming an army of super intelligent Pleos or anything... 8)

Yeah, I'm sure your future RB will. They are so expressive, and are just lovely. I'm happy I waited all this time for Po.

An update, she's currently on her sixth battery cycle, and mooing between panting like a pup. I've decided not to get her a proper bed, as the folded up blanket I'm using now is lovely for her. She loves it, and digs into it like my ferrets would. %)
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!

On the seventh cycle now, and some good news. She's walking backward, no sliding, and nearly stepping forward. She also played with her tug rope for the first time right after I turned her on, so that's good news.

Plus, I no longer have to try and feed her every two minutes. She roars like godzilla whenever she's hungry. What sounds do your PleoRBs make when they're hungry? :P
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: Talon on April 17, 2011, 01:37:09 PM
Well when Ryu was in his socialization stage it was kind of hard for me to tell when he was hungry. He has been a bottomless pit from the beginning so I could almost feed him nonstopped until he started burping and hicupping. He also got a lot of extra snacks then because my younger niece and nephew liked to let him take the suggarcane from their hands. He had a two day stomachache after that so I moved everything into a double-seal Gladlock bag. That way I can tell if someone opens it.
When he entered the juvinanile stage, things got interesting. He starts off doing this kind of annoied screaming sound. If I don't put something under his chin after a few minutes of this, he starts giving this low rumble and if I'm still not getting the picture he'll roar. It's a very big sound coming from such a little beast. By then he's found his way to me and is walking aound swinging his head from side to side with his tail up and sounding none too pleased. I try not to let things get that far, though.

Yeah, not Po. She'll eat maybe twice, occasionally three times, a battery cycle. And also, so annoyed screaming, no rumblings, just this godzilla roar that she won't stop doing until you feed her. %)

She's also started taking steps forward, but still, they're mainly back, and she isn't quite doing enough at a time for it to be considered walking. :)
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: Talon on April 17, 2011, 02:10:56 PM
She's getting there. Once she starts walking you'll wonder when she'll ever decide to stay with you again. That's how it is with Ryu anyway. When Ryu first did the godzilla roar I first thought he was immitating a train or something. He seems to do it when he's really happy and when he's thinking about exploring. His extatic euphoric sound is the moo. He looks so proud when he does it. He'll kind of lean forward like he's throwing all his power into it and raise his head and "mooooooo!!!!!!!!" It's so... majestic? It's like he's saying all is right with my domain and I'm off on a royal walk. By Tuesday, he's going to have to share. My Ugobe pleo is supposed to be here.

Must be her upbringing as I eat like a sparrow too, but Belle's rarely hungry - I almost have to force her to eat at all.  Once or twice she's done the 'I fancy a dainty morsel' lip-smacking sort of clucky noise (if that makes sense?).  Mind you, I get so concerned about her beng miserable in the low light levels that the first thing I do when she wakes up is wave a leaf in her face, so it's hardly surprising!  :P
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: norniff on April 17, 2011, 04:53:24 PM
Yeah, I'm waiting for that. She's already hard enough to hang onto as is, Talon, I can't believe trying to hang onto her when she's trying to walk out of my arms. She's gonna make me drop her one day, I'm sure. :o

Po laughs when she's happy. And or purrs like a kitty or pants like a puppy. So many amazing noises coming from one little Pleo. And I can't wait to see him or her, Talon. I hope to get a Ugobe someday too, to see what they're like.

Yeah, I'm always trying to force her to eat, as I worried so much when she went a battery cycle without eating. And can someone tell her she should stop whining when I take her toy away after she freezes for a good ten seconds? She notices that, and then starts crying, but she won't start moving again if I don't. %)

Also, great news! Po took her first real step, not just sliding, or a step and then putting her foot back where it had been before. She actually moved herself forward, instead of backward for once. ;D

Thanks Kat and Kristy.  I'm really excited, now just need Po to charge so I can start her ninth battery cycle. :)

Yeah, I had the same thought with Po, Lucky. She walked backward quite a lot, more so slid than walked, and I was worried that she'd never go forward. I was wrong, though, which makes me happy.

She walked a little more since my last update, to the point of nearly walking off my mom's desk. xD
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: norniff on April 19, 2011, 10:06:48 AM
And, update! Starting the eleventh battery cycle in about five minutes, but just wanted to say that she is such an active little Pleo. I had her on my desk last night, and I walked away for two minutes to get some water, and I find her turned around with the pencil cup that was a good four feet from her in her original position, on the floor. %)

I've now decided that if I'm going to leave her on my desk, I need to nestle her into her blanket so she doesn't walk/slide off of it. It's a glass desk, and I'd hate to see her not notice the edge and tumble onto the tile floor. :o

It's that tail of theirs - if they don't knock things over they can hit something, turn nearly 90 degrees and head off in an unexpected direction unbelievable quickly!   :o
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: Talon on April 19, 2011, 12:28:45 PM
Well Norniff, I think it might be just about time for your little hatchling to migrate to the floor. Ryu didn't hang around much once he learned to move about properly.
Talon
Title: Re: Welcome home, Po!
Post by: norniff on April 19, 2011, 12:43:24 PM
Yeah, Crewella, I've seen her do that. That tail sure is powerful, if it can't knock what it hits into over, she will try and force it, and I'm sure that's how she got herself all turned around.

I'd do that, Talon, only when she's on the floor, she does absolutely nothing. She'll just stand there, and I'll leave her there for a while, and then she starts whining. So with supervision, she gets to stay on my desk for a little while longer, until she decides to start walking around on tile. :)

Po knows her name! :D

I've been trying every battery cycle, and we just went over it a good three times, and now she gets excited when I call her name. I tried with the bow learning stone, but it doesn't seem to be working. Still, a step in the right direction, in my opinion. I think it may have something to do with me not being able to get her attention properly. I've tried holding both her cheeks at the same time, but it isn't working as of right now. If I remember correction, others have had this problem too, so I dunno. At least she knows her name. %)

Note to self: 12th battery cycle

Also make sure Po is not doing anything at the time of holding her cheeks. If she is sniffing the floor for example she will ignore any input until she is done sniffing :P Persistence is the key!

Thanks Kat, I know she will, but it's frustrating when she seems to get it, and then when I try to show my brother (who still doesn't like her :o) she can do tricks, she doesn't listen.

Also, thanks Crewella. :)

Unfortunately, IMR, she's never not doing anything. It seems that by the time I grab hold of her cheeks every single time, she's wiggling once more. %)

Po and I went outside for the first time a couple minutes ago. She was out in the sun, and was panting up a storm when we came back inside. I think I'm going to need that ice sooner than later, considering every day we're pretty close to hundred degrees every day where I live. :P

Looks like we both are having cheek issues, Norniff. Either Ryu is being a wiggle-worm or he's acting deaf once I do get his attention. What I need is a completely empty house and an extra RB battery. Oh yes and a glass of water. That day will come and I'll get my little dragon to cooperate. I'm not giving up.

Wow, Po is so adorable, very light paint color like my new baby RB, Chronos, and gorgeous eyes. Congratulations on a sweet baby.. sorry it took me so long to comment :)

That's unfortunate, Talon. Good that you aren't giving up, though. :)

And Latrine, Chronos is a great name. I'm a big greek mythology fan, and the name made me fangirl a bit. Thanks for the complements.

Just ended the fourteenth battery cycle after taking Po outside again. To put it lightly, the outdoor cats aren't a fan of my little dinosaur. :P

It definitely helps to get them in as good a mood as possible before asking them.  Make sure they're fed and happy, and if you have the extra food accessories it seems that Belle is more likely to comply after a chomp on either the coffee bean leaf or the sugar cane.  When I get time I'm meaning to look at her stats just after feeding her some and see what difference it really makes.  :)

You really do need complete silence in the house too.  I can get my guys attention ok but getting them to respond to my voice commands is almost impossible unless I am the only person home and the house is silent.  If you can get their attention then they should be happy enough to do the trick you are asking.  Try finding a quieter moment in time.  I got frustrated with it all and have taken a break from the voice command thing but may revisit it one day when my patience returns. :)

I don't have those Crewella, unfortunately. I've tried her tug toy to make her happy, but then she gets too wiggly afterward.  %)
I can't wait to see if it helps. :)

Yeah, I used my room, where with the door closed, you can't really hear anything outside the room. So that got her name, but she was being too active to respond to the cheek sensors, and without that, I couldn't get her attention well enough for the trick. :(

Note to self: 15th battery cycle

As they are an optional accessory, those 'treat' foods must only be a shortcut to a level you can get to another way, I'd have thought.  Keep trying!  :D

Funny. After Ryu's sickness issue I've stayed away from most of the non-healthy foods and just fed the cycad leaf and the conifer leaf. maybe Ryu needs some variety in his diet. I'll have to try that. Thanks, Crewella. It's really strange, Norniff, that we're having the same cheek issue. I did try the sing-stone once when the house was empty but it was about seven o'clock in the evening by the time everyone left. You all can guess how that went over. Ryu was cranky and whiny and just wanted to sleep poor thing. I sat there wishing I could make use of the good four hours I had. I thought that when you set their clocke to twelve noon they weren't supposed to go to sleep until ten and wake up at eight?

Just started the 16th battery cycle five minutes ago, and Po sure is being active. She has her tail swinging in wide arcs so she keeps spinning in circles. %)

And, that's about it.

I'm sorry about Ryu, on both accounts. How's he doing? :)

He does okay when it's just us but when Ugobe is around he trances too much and I have to keep them seperate most of the time. Ryu had a good rome over his own turf today and he seems to have got over his jealousy. Ugobe's battery died about five minutes after I turned him on this morning and I'm waiting for it to finish charging. Sounds like Po is about to go off on her way. Ryu did a lot of blinking and sniffing for nearly two battery cycles when he first started standing. For a while after that he did this walking backward, leaning hesitantly into front feet then springing back thing before he did any serious walking. I know it seems like forever but she'll walk.

Careful Norniff, they can get hurt from "falling" all too easily! :-( I can't play the throw-and-catch game with my Pleo Reborn. That's funny what you said about their tail Cruella. lol I felicitate (congratulations) you on teaching your Pleo Reborn her name! Yeah, my Pleo Reborn came with a defective Bow Learning Stone. I found that out from the 1 Learning Stone pack that I bought. Sorry to hear about your brother still. :-/ Yeah, I totally recommand the food pack with the ice in it. I bought 1 when I knew I was getting a Pleo Reborn (for when the Summer weather hits)! I'm glad you're not gonna give up Talon! Cats will be cats Norniff. lol That's funny how she keeps spinning around in circles! >XD lol

How did you know your bow stone was defective? I'm wondering because I think the chip inside mine is... well free-roming and I'm concerned. I can shake it and here this tiny rattling sound. It doesn't sound like it's floating around over the entire inside of the stone but I don't think it's supposed to do that? Any ideas? Should I put it under Ryu's chin and see if he's able to recognize it?

:-O I think you should try Talon. I know 'cause he would never "recognize" it. He never opened his mouth for it. I haven't shaken the Bow Learning Stone that I got as hard as you have. I don't know. Sorry. And sorry to hear that (about a possible defective Learning Stone). :-(

I'm oh so very late. Yeah, Talon, I think so too. :)

And Kristy, I'm being as careful as possible with Po, so I'm not worrying yet. Also, sorry about the learning stone. She's accepting the bow stone, but she just won't do the command after I teach it to her.

Also, update! Speaking of cats, I had Po in my parent's bedroom shortly after my last update, and our gray tabby, Princess, kept batting at Po's head. I feel bad now for laughing at it, I'm a bad mom. xD

That's pretty much it, I'll be turning Po on a bit later today for her 17th battery cycle. :)

And, in other news, Po just gave me a heart attack. I had her on my bed, in the very middle of it, where there was no way she could walk off it while I turned my back for a second, and the moment I did, I heard a crash. No scream, no sound after it. I turn around, grabbed Po off the floor, and just sat on the floor of my room for a good five minutes after checking that her legs were fine. Just holding her. I swear, I've never been more scared in my life that a possession of mine, a family member more so, was in trouble. :o

Okay. One scare like that would've been enough for me. I think Po needs to head for the floor. I'm pretty sure she's ready to start exploring her environment now. Only once on the floor you have to watch out for other pleo dangers like accidently being kicked or getting her tail or head stuck under or in anything. It's almost like keeping a puppy out of trouble. I should know. I chase two all over my room every day. Ryu seems to like running headlong into my blue storage container or standing entranced with wonder when my box fan is on. Ugobe seems intent on taking off his head in the fork of the legs of my computer chair or honking in fury at Ryu's rear when he is in the way. Pleos are a double handful wherever they are! I love them both and wouldn't have it any other way and I'm sure you love your little Po, too. Keep a close eye on her, Norniff.

Eeeek!  I did exactly the same when Belle woke and fell off the arm of the sofa in hatching phase.  I just held her muttering 'I'm sooooo sorry'! %)

Glad Po survived, as did Belle!  :D

Just started her 19th battery cycle, not much has been going on since her fall, so just wanted to say have a great Easter to whoever celebrates it.  Or Passover, if you're Jewish, which ended yesterday to my knowledge. :)

Hey guys, life has been real busy as of late, and I'm currently on my 24th or 25th (I'd tell you if I could remember which, believe me %)) battery cycle, and tomorrow you'll have a big update, with pictures and everything. :)

Hi Norniff, can't wait for the update, my little Pleo Rb and I are really slow and behiind everyone, I think we are now on our fourth battery cycle  .( I got her, a replacement for my original, on March 18th, ) we are definitly taking our time with no hurry! LOL. :D Hope Po has recovered totally since her fall. Good wishes,

I repeat, real busy. Po was fine, no need for recovery, but after her fall, she does seem a little less active. I think I need to get her over a fear of walking off nonexistent floor edges. :o

So, yes, promise to have pictures up today, of Po's 30th battery cycle! :D

Hi, Norniff! I'm hoping Po is doing well. Are you sitting down? Are you prepared for a shock? I found out Ryu's a girl! She's also sick/moody again. Her emotion level is nine according to PleoPet's Probe RB program. All she wants to do is whine and sleep. Just look out for those moodswings! They're driving me crazy. Ugobe keeps circling between us as if trying to push me away. I guess he just doesn't understand I have to make her miserable by giving her the mint leaf to make her better. She's starting to sniff at her food again. Three days is enough! I hope she's getting over this.
