a cat called necoro is about.$1200.

I must admit I've always been rather fascinated by those, but they seem to be rarely seen outside of Japan! :(
-
Comaro please use the edit button to modify your posts instead of posting twice in a row, thank you. It's annoying :P
I don't like robot cats, they could never emulate the fluidity of a real cat. And this one is kinda creepy :P
-
I have seen these on Youtube before when I have been looking up interesting robots. It is a cute idea but they do look a bit creepy and they don't walk. So very expensive for what you get.
-
Honestly, it looks like one of the fur-real pets but with no fur. Proboally an aibo knock off, considering how they put balloons that look like the aibo ball in the commercial. I saw some links that came up with the u-tube video that had some other robo cats in them, still not nearly as complcated as pleo or aibo.
-
I think it is pretty creepy as well. Especially wouldn't get it for $1200. ??? That seems like a lot for a robot that doesn't walk.
-
Nah, I wouldn't go for it either. If I'm buying a twelve-hundred dollar robot it needs to drive for me and teach me how to write in print. Lol!

I agree .you can get some thing that look's the same for so much less and not much can compare to the pleo except my robot bug
-
What is your robot bug? Oh and i found a website for it http://vimeo.com/33080
-
Pleo rb is more life form than that robot cat
-
That's just uncanny valley in animal form right there. Definitely not worth $1200, especially if it doesn't walk. Heck, it'd cost less to modify a Pleo to look like a cat.

More creepy robot cats from Japan...

omg.. rofl.. what the heck is Japan thinking.. cat ears that respond to your brain and either go up or down? No wonder they had disabled responses.. lol
thank you SO much for posting that it was sooo funny.

Oh good grief!! That made my day!!!!! :o ;D
What's even funnier is that I actually find myself wanting a pair!! %) :P
-
Oh I'm completely down for a pair of the ears. Haha.
-
Lol I'd wear them to a party, or to school (the kids would be in hysterics!) But they don't move very realistically.
-
I wonder if they go one up, one down if your mind wanders! ;)
-
I'd wear them to negotiations to trip up the other side by acting as if they weren't even there. :)
-
That's an original idea. My older niece wants a pair too. I don't see what the fascination is myself.

Secretly I want a pair too. :-X I wonder what they cost and where you can buy them? %) :P
-
I've seen those before, and to me they seem kind of cute (lol). :D
But it stinks that they can't walk...the robot seems a bit pointless.
I think these are therapeutic robots for the elderly...so they're not supposed to do so much.
They are realistic though [sort of] and if you were $200 I would MAYBE get one, but definitely not $1200 that's outrageous! I could buy two Pleo rb's (which are better than Necoro anyway) and three or four UGOBE's!
