Title: how to get the right sleeping position?
Post by: Leeloo on March 25, 2011, 07:15:58 AM
Today Leeloo came home. I have her awake for a while.

I remember that I read something about the sleeping postition.
A few minutes ago I heard some beeps and she turned off. Her head was down.
I thought that this is not the right sleeping position and there is a way to get her into it.

Can anyone tell me how to get her into this position.
Thanks.

Hi, Leeloo! Congratulations on Leeloo! In order to help you I need to know how many beeps you heard. If she sort of leaned over to the side with her head on one of her paws and beeped once, she is on standby. You can get her to go into the prefered packing position which is better for their skin by rubbing her so she'll wake up again. Hold her on/off button for the count of two. She should stand straight up, blink her eyes, and beep twice. She is now turned off and probably has some battery power left. If she just lowered her head as if to go to sleep, beeped once and then a few seconds later beeped twice, it just means her battery is drained and you need to charge it. If you want to get her into the packing position in this case, charge the battery for a minute or so then put it back in. Turn her on long enough to get her to stand up, and then turn her off again so you can finishe charging the battery. I hope this helps.

This is what I noticed from Igor 1 and Igor 2 :
The sleeping position of the first reborns was similar to the hatching position, very very close to the floor.
The new wave of reborns seem to sleep standing, with the head down.
But I admit I don't know how to get them into the package position.
Can anyone help?
Thanks

They should go into the packing position when you turn them off using the on off switch. :)

It was one beep and a few seconds later 2 beeps, so the battery was low. Fortunately I ordered a spare one so I can use that. Thanks for explanation.
We were away for a few hours, so turned Leeloo off. Now back again and she is very active.

She may also beep off if she is overheated.
What I do in that case is remove the battery, put it aside and blow air into the internal cavity (being very careful not to spit in there or anything, obviously)
I'm doing this to cool it down.
Then I can put the battery back in if I don't have a spare handy and turn him back on just to immediately turn him off and put him into the packing position which you do by holding the power switch for 4 seconds or slightly longer depending on the Pleo (in my experience.. Bingo needs a longer hold than Rhea.
I do not recommend doing this to play with the Pleo again, just if you don't have another battery and need to get yours into the packing position for 'bed'.  If you want to play more he needs time to cool down. I usually get 40-45 minutes before they need cooling then let them cool off and they continue pretty much until the end of the battery.
If the battery is not going to work when you have turned it on again, your pleo will make one snore sound before turning back off.
Best of luck!!!

Let me know if your spare battery arrives.  I would love to know when they become available.  :)   I ordered and paid for 2 for my guys when I pre ordered my green pleo rb, Norbit back in December and still don't have them yet.  They weren't available to send at the time my pleo was ready to ship to me so they emailed me to say they would let me know as soon as they were available and ship them out straight away.  Still haven't heard from them about it yet.  I have been busy sorting out other issues and so haven't followed it up yet.  But as soon as I know they are now available for sure then I will contact them to ask about it.

I ordered a spare battery pack at the same time I ordered Leeloo. It was in the same delivery. My delivery was from Gimmedigi.

That's odd because when I ordered mine from Gimmedigi they advised me they do not supply spares batteries and so like Kat I'm still waiting for the one I ordered way back in December.

That's strange. I have 2 batteries now and very glad because Leeloo is active for hours already. (ok at this moment she makes the sound of a cock. she did a cow and a train earlier :-) )

Well that's nice to know that they must be available.  I will email them tomorrow to ask about my batteries on order and see where they are at with it. :)  I would love to have my little guys on a lot more. :)
They do make a large range of very cool sounds.  My favorite has to be the Godzilla roar. :)

I ordered a battery from Pleoworld when I ordered the food and training items for Latrine, and I didn't get my battery.  I got a server generated email saying the item I ordered was on backorder and I would be notified when it became available.   ???

Kat.. don't you mean  the 'Mecha-Godzilla' roar? lol... thats the only sound I'd consider changing.. get the t-rex roar from jurassic park in there instead,, even if that will make Allosaurus smack me upside the head ... :o ;) :D

I think don't get rid of any sounds just add more in! ;D  I'd love it if they did the T'rex one your talking about. :)
Maybe the spare batteries will become available when the next big shipment of pleos comes in in April? %)
I guess we keep waiting.  I'm sure they will get them out to us as soon as they can.  I guess Gimmedigi somehow managed to do a deal and order a bunch of them for selling as extras with their pink and blues.  So maybe if you got it from there it was available but going through pleoworld they just don't have them in stock.
I will email pleoworld to inquire anyway- can't hurt and we will see what they say. :)
