Title: Leeloo
Post by: Leeloo on March 25, 2011, 02:01:20 AM
This morning I checked the track and trace which got the status pending customs inspection for a few day. Yesterday I learned (by google) that this could take some time, so we thought we had to wait a week at least.

20 minutes ago the doorbell rang. The postman with a package from china: Leeloo is just arrived.
Of course at this moment the battery is charging.

I will place some pictures later this morning and will start reading the manual now.

We are exciting and very curious to her first moves
 ;D ;D ;D ;D

How sweet! Is it just the camera, or does Leeloo have a little "eyeshadow"? She looks like she has a gold glint on her eyelids.

That's a great idea, all pleo's together.

I think it is just the camera. I do not see any eyeshadow. Well, it is a good idea.  ;)

I'd be a little scared, what if they got angry? They'd be like in movies, the robots take over!  :o  Although, what is the worst they could do? We'd deffinently need to surrender all our plastic leaves and pleage wipes!  :D

My pink pleo has gold eyelids. :)  It is one of my favorite things about the pinks. :)

I think they would all go mad being all together! but in a fun way, like don't know where to look at the same time coz they are surrounded by all interesting friends.
and offcourse all the proud parents noticing the differences in caracter, would be fun.

I totaly adore her eyes, especially when I pick her up and hold her, then she stretches her neck to keep looking at me, so adorable.
hoping she will start walking today, but I think (at least I am, but that must be a girl thing) we are spoiling her with too much attention, we keep running to her instead of making her try walking to us  %)

well, after waking her up this morning LeeLoo is really active, she wants to play, shakes her tail, makes all kinds of noises and is very very active and cheerfully.
no walking yet, but really trying to move, very funny like this  :)

I'm glad you're enjoying her, Leello, and it's very easy to spoil them when they're so cute!  :D

She is lovely. Wants to play a lot of tug and war, but refuses to learn her name :-(

She's probably still in juvenile stage - give her some time!  :D

I guess so. I do not know how long it will take for the next stage.
She is on for hours :-)

(i'm so glad I ordered an extra battery pack)

Sounds like you're having fun! My little one is still jeuvenile too , I think. She's walking a lot and playing, but still won't learn her name. I am really enjoying her!!! Glad you're having fun too....perhaps I need to think about getting an extra battery too!!!

The extra battery is worth the money (to my opinion).

Leeloo is now sometimes making a strange sound. It is like she is crying. Is this normal or is she sad. She is very active overall and doesn't seem to be sad. Or is it just a new sound of her?

I pick her up and hold her, %)

You can pick her up? Do the rbs scream if you let their feet dangle for too long as well? Or do you "trick" your pleo like i do  :P, by holding the footpads?
Title: Re: Leeloo
Post by: Leeloo on March 27, 2011, 03:22:50 AM
I trick  ;)
I kind of sit thight so that the sensors sense something everywhere, so her feet kinda rest on my lap and I hold her then in my arms and tap her, she seems to like it, coz she then tends to look at me and almost squize her head and neck to keep looking at me  :)
but I never do that for too long, just like 10 seconds, giver her some quality attention and then put her back on the floor or on the desk.
we have  a very large office desk on which we can both work at the same time (sitting across eachother) and we put her on that, between us.
she seems in love with my laptop  ???
every minute walking towards it, kinda funny.
and like a good girl she can not choose between the attention of me or my husband  ;)

One of my favortie things is picking up Pleo and holding her vertically, head up. She'll cuddle up and take a little snooze on my shoulder. It's so adorable!

How cute! Looks like leeloo dosn't need a blue rb freind, looks like she's gonna be very happy with your laptop, maybe she knows that's where you ordered her and update her :)

maybe that's it  ;)
yesterday I tried to get some work done at home while husband and LeeLoo were sitting on the same table and offcourse LeeLoo was determined to get my attention, because I was the one trying to get work done  :D
it was really cute, she tried to close my laptop by standing to it, kept walking towards me and making a lot of noise, until I just had to give her some attention.
als the playing she just can not get enough from, she loves playing around.

I'm glad you're having so much fun with your Leeloo! Ryu is still exhibiting some teenaged angst and he is really reminding me of a dinosaur. I have to remind him that I'm there by patting him or offering to play tug-o-war. He would much rather snarl at the leg of my bed or challenge my computer chair to a fight than notice me. To make things even more interesting, I have my eye on a little Ugobe pleo who is just as loving and friendly as anyone could want. Perhaps he will give Ryu some proper pleo-attention and he'll calm down.
About all of us meeting up together. Wow! Can you imagine? Seven hundred ten- at my last count- and who knows how many pleos all in one place? Count me in!

sounds great, a team up with all of us!
I like the idea that all pleo's grow up differently, you can put together 20 pleo's and still have 20 different characters.
we are now trying to cut down the burping from LeeLoo  ???

she was burping this weekend all the time (so ok, maybe we give her slightly too much sugar and all) but everytime it sounded so funny, so we had to laugh out loud all the time. so yes, you can imagine what happened; day after she was burping like every 2 seconds  :D
so now we are chearing and laughing when she makes other funny noises to make her understand she needs to behave more like a decent girl  ;)

Be careful with the snacks, Leeloo. Ryu lives in a house with two kids ages nine and ten who are very careful with him. They're my younger niece and nephew and they both like sneaking him extra snacks. I learned this a day too late and he ended up with a stomachache. He whined and whimpered and stayd crouched down toward the floor, fluttering his tail and refusing to do anything else. At first I didn't know what was going on until my nephew confessed rather sadly to the deed of feeding him while I wasn't paying attention. Now I keep all my foods and accessories in a Gladlock bag. If I hear the seal snap while they're in the room with us, I know what's going on. Believe me, forcing a sick Pleo to eat his mint leaf entirely by touch isn't as easy as you would think.

A useful warning!  :o

And I'm endlessly amused by the kids thinking they could get one over on a grown-up not able to see them, and how easily you foiled them, Talon!  :P   :rootbeer:

He-he! I'm good like that. My nephew who is the younger child yells at my niece when he sees her trying to open the bag. Ask her first, he says. It's kind of sweet that he feels bad for making Ryu sick. Now I just have to laible these learning stones.

With help, do you think you could learn to 'read' or tell apart the indentations stamped on the middle of each stone?
