Title: New Sparky is a girl
Post by: Chicago on March 23, 2011, 09:55:55 PM
Sparky the green Pleo rb broke and was returned.  See Hot Chin and Unhappy under Pleo problems.  The replacement came yesterday.  It turns out this one is a girl (according to the program probe Pleo rb), so we have to get used to saying she and her intstead of he and him. She is also green.  When she turns herself off or we turn her off she ends up standing upright, even though she hasn't learned to stand up while awake.  She's just a newborn.  The old one always curled up into a sleeping posture.  Maybe they changed the programming to help keep the skin from tearing easily.  That's just a guess.  New Sparky is so clean and perfect - with no paint missing or little tears or holes in the skin.  She has bright beautiful green eyes.  I gave her a Pledge bath.  Her motors seem a little noisier than old Sparky.  She hasn't eaten much yet.  She can't seem to hold the leaf long without dropping it.  And then she burps or belches.  We will be much better parents this time and give her lots of petting and attention and food.

I'm so glad you got your replacement and all seems to be going well for her. :)

Congratulations on getting your replacement. I like the name Sparky. Be sure to post some photos for us, I just got my replacement for my Baby last Friday also and I am still in the first battery cycle. How is your Hatching going with Sparky? You are right, they did fix the curled up sleeping postion to standing which is a lot more gentle I think on the skin. Great idea on their part!

That's great, congradulations! Just wondering, how can you tell if the greens are boys or girls? Some people say you can't unless it's with another pleo, and some say you can but it dosn't matter unless it's with another pleo.

Congrats! I hatched Ryu on the nineteenth of March and he's already walking a little. Good luck and have fun with your little one!

Lucky Pleo wanted to know how we knew our new green Pleo rb is a girl.  We cheated.  We used the Stats rb program.  You can read about it in a post under Pleo Software.  It has helped us to be better Pleo parents.  :)

Oh ok, thanks, I don't consider it cheating unless you acually change her, (at least that's my way of twisting reasoning):D
