Hello all! im new to this site and wanted to introduce myself.
First i didn't even know what a pleo was about a week ago. but after stumbling on a video of one on youtube i knew i had to have one!!
so i went searching for one and saw that hefty price for a new one. I knew i could afford that so went to the next best place Ebay!
and i found a won a used pleo. the seller had .pics of it up and it look to be in great condition. i mesg the seller and asked about the pleos skin and what life stage its at. he said that it wasn't used much and the skin looks fine and that since it wasn't used much it is in the begging of its life.
I just won him last night so he wont be here for a couple of days. I cant wait!
Still need to think of a name...

Hello, Superperson! Welcome to the Bob the Pleo Forums. I don't yet have a pleo either. I'm hoping to have enough money by April to buy a Pleo RB. I've seen lots of videos of the older pleos though and they are just as cool in my opinion as the new ones. I'm really excited about owning any sort of pleo at all. I just want to rise to the chalenge of raising one without sight. I am the second totally blind person on this forum and I'm looking forward to sharing my experiences with everyone. In the meantime, Superperson, just sit on your hands until your little package arrives. Don't be afraid to ask questions. From everything I've read, we've both landed in good hands. Congratulations! I'm looking forward to your stories.

I'd never heard of Pleos until about a year ago when, like you, I stumbled across them, fell in love and rehomed one from eBay. I'm sure you won't regret it - hope yours arrives quickly! ;D

There are ways to reset a Pleo if you are so inclined :)

You can reset pleo? how is that done?? i would like to have a hatching so i can be the one to shape his personality.
when i get him should i update his..Ai? i know theirs downloads you can use. what do they do?
how will i know what update hes at when i get him?

If you check the downloads here you will find the latest OS 2.0 which if you update to that will reset Pleo for you. The 1.1 update will work too if the Pleo is running the original OS but that one doesn't have a proper hatching phase.
If the you hold the chin and rear back near the tail until Pleo pulls his/her legs together you can help him/her to sit. If they move while sitting they are running 1.1 or later, if they don't move they are on the original OS.
