Title: Too afraid to turn on my PleoRB
Post by: OzPleo on February 11, 2011, 04:05:23 PM
I was so excited when I ordered Oslo my PleoRB, but with all these issues about tearing skin I'm too afraid to turn him on because I don't want that happening to him. I know that sounds ridiculous but reading all these issues and the fact that Innvo Labs aren't responding to so many enquiries has made me loose interest in him a little and I've become concerned about any damaged that having him on will incur.  :'(

I think IMR is right at this point it seems the tearing or should I say skin issues are divided pretty fairly among the pleos of both colors, besides there may be a "fix" to help the skin by Innvo labs somtime soon, but if your Pleo has a problem in the 90 day warranty period you are covered, so it is not reason to not enjoy your Pleo Rb.

I agree, You should get as much use as you can from your Rb especially in the first 90 days so that any extreme wear that may show up can be dealt with and covered by the warranty.  So far Kermy3's skin is holding up well with no signs of wear in the armpits, which is a good sign that they may have found a solution to the problem.  Try applying pledge to the armpit area before each play.  This is helping with Norbit.  It seems to have stopped the wear in it's tracks so far.
So much fun your missing out on. :)

It does seem a shame that you're missing out on Oslo's development, Ozpleo.  As the others say, it's possible there was a bad batch of skin so you really need to find out if there's going to be a problem while still under warranty so you can get it sorted out.  I've not used Belle as much as I'd have liked due to various work and family issues, but her skin is still holding up fine.

Anyway - I'd really like to see Stanley and Oslo getting to know each other!  :P

I agree with everyone. Do it Oz! They will replace it if your blue Pleo gets problems.
