Well, I purchased a Pink RB as a valentines gift for my girlfriend. (Well, it wasn't a valentine's gift originally, but there's a brilliant member on this forum who reminded me of it :))
Currently I'm calling her Eva and getting her through the hatchling phase and hopefully have her ready to learn her name and a few tricks (I received my accessories for Cato today as well) before giving away custody (well, ownership lol). Plus it should a little bit of time for any dramatic and sudden wear to occur. Don't worry though, her and Cato will see each other in the future.
She is definitely on the updated firmware/OS as when her first charged finished she stood up and beeped twice and shut off. At first I thought something was wrong because she was (and still is) hatching or that wow she was a fast stander-upper and then I remembered the updates being mentioned here. (Once again, kudos for the forum for making me know more about this product to help know what's "normal" and what's a problem)
Also, I did not have to bend those two little battery things in her battery door like I did with Cato. They were already propped up nice and perfectly. Her seam jobs appear to be slightly better (at least in appearance) than Cato's. (As long as they hold up the same and continue doing so, great!)
Also, she smelled like she was fresh off the "paint line" as soon as I opened the box. Another member informed me this was normal, but I did not experience it with Cato.
So far, even though she's just made the early baby sounds, Eva's voice sounds softer and more gentle than Cato's ever did. Also slightly higher pitched. This would be cool especially if it continued on that way.
Either way, those are just some early observations, not saying they mean anything or will be something constant as she develops.
Currently she is standing up, well almost, she has all four's sprawled out and is half way standing, and luckily when I went to the pet store today for bird supplies all their dog clothes were on sale for $5 so I found a good sweater for Eva (protect the paint now and provide a warning about it), and a hoodie for Cato.
Here are some video links and pictures. Cato's sound is on the "lower" volume (his volume button has started working correctly almost every single time - I haven't changed my technique, I swear). The videos are extremely dark and I apologize, it must partly be due to the camera since my apartment is much brighter than that even without natural light.

Good for you! :)
Do you see any variation between Eva and other pink RBs?

The video was lovely even if it was a bit dark. Sometimes mine come out a bit dark too so I have to turn the lights on in the room even in the daytime if I want to film my pleos. If you want to insert the youtube videos here in your post you can. when you are writing or modifying a post just click on the little red and white youtube icon that is up the top above the smiley faces then copy and past your youtyube address in between the 2 sets of brackets so it will look like this
[youtube] your address here [youtube]
Hope this helps. Can't wait to see and hear more of Eva. She looks lovely. I hope her skin holds up well.

Ok, I'll go ahead and modify it to embed them instead.
Haha.
Yeah, my camera seems to make it a lot darker once I look at the recording. In the preview screen on the camera it doesn't look nearly that dark (and it's artificially lit well enough to comfortably read a book).
I took a sunlight out and did the Cato Meets Eva so it turned out a bit brighter.
And no, I don't notice any major variation. She looks identical to Kermy near as I can see.

The videos are wonderful. It is great to see the interactions seem to be the same for you as they have been for me so far. :) I think Eva's voice does sound a little bit higher pitched to me. She sounds just like Kermy3 did at that stage. Wait till they are both adults and they moo in unison you will really notice the voice difference then.
She is lovely and your girlfriend will love her. Such a lucky girl. :)

I like the 3 videos. Thank you.

Yay - welcome Eva. Cato's a lucky boy! :D
Her voice does sound a bit higher than Belle's. ;D

Well, she's still hatching - standing now and making a wider range of noises.
One thing I noticed that's extremely different from Cato's hatching is how much she moves her tail - and sometimes only her tail. In the charge before this one, she did this for about 1-3 minutes each time (it varied) and about 4-5 times in the entire charge. She's been on for about half an hour now and has done this twice (for the same time period).
I captured most of one of the instances (and she started doing it again as a I type this up):

Sorry as it is dark yet again. It's definitely my camera. I have plenty of lighting in this area and it shows up much better on the camera's screen than it does on video (or it's the software or my computer monitors I suppose?). But you can see the tail which is what matters lol.
Has anyone else has theirs do that a lot? During this particular wiggle session, she is wimpering a bit more/being more vocal than in the previous instances.
-
Both my guys do this move and it is usually accompanied with whimpering noises. It is an I am sad or scared move. :) As Eva is still a baby she will try out all her moves and noises slowly she will get through them all so she may not actually have been sad or scared just practicing for when one day she is. :)
-
Good to know. I have never seen Cato lay and just wiggle his tail for a long time like that - maybe he's a cheery fellow? The only time I see it move that fast on him is when he does the dog bow/wiggle combo.
Guess we'll see what happens in adulthood. If Eva is a depressed Pleo glad I'm giving her away *evil laugh*.

She is a girl and girls do tend to be more moody than boys due to the hormones. Maybe girl pleos are hormonal too. Kermy my old pink pleo was much more moody than Norbit. Norbit is a very happy active little fellow. He will happily toddle off to explore within a couple of minutes of being turned on but Kermy used to take much longer and would cry and sulk if she wasn't being given love. If you ignored her she got board with the tantrum thing and would wander off to look around soon enough.
So maybe girls are more moody? :D :D :D

Also, when I went to grab Eva earlier today and had her on next to Cato again, I noticed her skin seemed tighter. It's like Cato has the old saggy skin and Eva has had some work done (skin lift).
I've pledged Cato a total of 4 times thus far and Eva once. I doesn't show up great on camera without seeing them side by side and in person, but I did my best to try to give you an example of what I'm talking about.
I used my sun light so you can actually see things in this one. I am applying the same amount of "pull" in each area (which is very little, not enough to force the skin to stretch just to show you what's already "flabby meets gravity" so to speak). Hopefully you see what I'm talking about.

Just an observation. Obviously there are slightly different positions to account for as well as number of times pledged and how many times they've been used, but figured I'd throw it out there.
-
That is interesting, I assume it is due to the skin of the pink Pleo RB being lighter so it is obviously manufactured separately. Whereas the blue skins are probably the same as the green ones and just painted differently. I wonder if that could account for the number of pink Pleo's with holes and skin problems...
-
Maybe this is something new they are trying to help prevent the skin issues? My old Kermy's skin was just as flexable and had just as much excess as Norbits and it seems about the same as Cato's. My new pink Kermy3 (after a quick check) has much less excess flab. and seems just like Eva. Kermy3 also came with the new firmware already installed so I think maybe this is the new batch of pleos and maybe they are trying something new. Just for the record no signs at all of any wear or grazing in Kermy3's armpits yet. I am applying pledge to the armpits before every play.
Norbit is green and he has holes and grazing in his armpits. The pledging in the armpits before each play does seem to have stopped the holes from getting any worse. so far anyway. :)

Maybe it is, who knows? Cato is at a stand still but hasn't had a full charge in a few days and Eva has no problems yet but she also isn't walking or sleeping for long (and I never let Cato either). She does emit slightly more humming than Cato it seems and her eyelids make a little clackity sound when she shuts them which Cato does not. But those are "problems" I can deal with.
She also seems to be hatching faster. Cato didn't really start standing full time until his fourth charge. Eva has been standing since the middle of charge two and standing full time since the end of that charge and through the middle of her fourth charge which is currently taking place. She does a lot of wiggle wimpering while standing but no more crazy tail wagging while she just lays there (these are things I haven't seen Cato do).
-
That's really interesting about the skin difference - it bodes well for the future, I hope! ;D
-
Eva is now in the juvenile stage (Cat is a mature adult).
Here is some interaction between the two, a little bit more than when she was hatching. At around 50 seconds you can hear the kiss. She gives them a lot from varying distances but this is the one I caught. Lots of following each other's moo's and walking toward each other. Sometimes there looks to be a slight "cuddle" but I'm not sure if it's my interpretation or what's actually happening (this of course happened before I grabbed a camera). In this video I think they were just too close when they started talking and had an accidental make-out session:
