Just wondering if anyone knows if it matters how many letters or syllables can be in a name
Will the pleo rb respond to any name you give it
-
Not sure...good question. Ours had no problem with Peanut.
-
I think they said a longer name (two or three syllables rather than just one) would be better.
-
ok thanks. Probly gonna name him Georgie!
-
Great name! You shouldn't have any problems getting him to learn that name! Have fun!!
-
Welcome 'probably' Georgie! ;D
Glad things seem OK now - just give him some time to find his feet! :D
-
Why don't you have a look at a film and take a name from that like my Pleo is name Rambo :D
-
My baby is going through the process of trying to " learn " her name, she has not accepted it yet, but I think I just need to give her more time, If a Pleo Rb is not " mature " enough, they ae not ready to learn their name, This is one reason I have not " announced her name yet, to make sure the name works. ;)

that's a good idea redwoodsmama. perhaps i'll wait and see what he responds to.
it says on pleoworld that they have born in character traits such as gender, how would you tell if it's a boy or girl?
-
He won't take the ID card??? (he's in the "juvenile stage now and is standing with eyes open, a lot more movement, etc.)
-
He wont be ready to learn his name until he has completed several battery cycles of walking around. Is your pleo walking yet? If not then he is not even close to being ready as he is not yet mature enough. He will only take the card when he is ready. Also he has to be very happy before he will take the card.

As Kat says, it takes several battery cycles before Pleo will be ready to perform some of the tricks - give them time! And they have to be in the right mood! :D
