Hey guys just put a 2009 Pleo for sale on ebay (for cheap!). I believe it`s under the heading: Pleo Robotic Life-form.
take a look if you want a cheap new pleo to add to your collection.
-
You should post a link to your ebay ad....it would make it easier for someone here to buy it. Just a recommendation.
-
thankyou will do.

Shame you didn't post this a month ago.... I spent a week in Calgary helping with a company move. I could have just picked it up in person! :P Oh well. We'll see how it bids up! Hope for you it does well.
-
aw sorry mweed, shoulda for sure.
thank-you
-
Just a 'heads up' - your listing is coming up as free postage to the UK? ???
-
Ya i put free shipping to anywhere in the world because the pleo is broken, so i figured i'd list it at $80 and that way if i could sell it at that price at least I would be getting $50 for the pleo and $30 for the shipping, which should cover shipping to almost anywhere (regular shipping)

If anyone is looking for a Pleo to use the skin or to paint , this is the opportunity, or if someone just knows how to fix a Pleo, I wish you well with your new Pleo rb too, hopefully we will see some photos too soon. :)

If I were you I'd be double checking the postage, I'm quite sure you couldn't post it to Australia for $30, unless it's by the six month sea shipping. It can cost me $10 just to send outfits overseas, and they weigh very little.
(Not that I'll be bidding, I am so close to getting my iMac :))

For all I know the clicking leg could be fixed by a simple rehatch
-
Now, you're the first person I know who has called a re-hatch simple!

Yes, I think IMR is correct. The only way you are going to be able to post anything through ebay is by using Priority Mail international, I know the cost of shipping a 1 pd 4 oz package, ( the weight of a small Ucube Pleo egg charger and battery cost me $32.05 to go from the U.S. to the UK, and about the same anywhere else in Europe, The weight of a Pleo in box is going to be at least 7 pds so you are looking at a pretty hefty charge if you use the postal calculator you will see. Ebay does not allow any other kind of shipping unless it is Express. I used to use First Class Mail to try and save my customers postage costs but ebay did not have it listed and I had to do it on my own, It caused a lot of headaches with no tracking, people complaining about lost packages, etc, etc. so Priority Mail international was the only way to go and the standard.
If I was you I would reconsider the cost quickly before you find out you may be selling a Pleo for nothing but the cost of shipping and once it is done, it is hard to go back on and get negative feedback, but you can either end the add and redo it anytime before there is a bid, or just change the shipping and lower the price of Pleo. Good Luck. :)

Yeah you were right redwoodsmama. I used Canada post to check rates and they were a lot more than I thought. So for those of you interested I just put "contact seller for rates" on ebay, as it varies from location to location. However there will be a flat rate to anywhere in Canada for $28.00
-
Hi Ashaw, is the Pleo completely broken? If it is and has hardly any or no wear spots I might buy it, I've been looking for a broken Pleo to give Gizmo some new skin :)
-
There are no wear spots that I can see. He has socks and a hoodie on and I've only turned him on a handful of times. I don't think he's completely broken, it's just one front leg that won't stop clicking.
-
Ohhh ok, I don't think I'll buy then, I wouldnt wanna take the skin off of a working Pleo :o
-
Just so everyone knows - the $28 flat rate shipping for Canada is through XPRESSPOST
