Well Norbit is here! :)
I have not started hatching yet but will very soon. I have taken photos of him for you all though so here he is.
His Head He has the same gray patch as Beta and RWM's baby. Light green head.
His whole body from Head to tail He is much greener to the naked eye than the photo suggests but he is still very yellow, fluro yellow :D I wonder if he will glow in the dark :D :D
Side on
From the front
His eyes are yellow! :)
Wearing his hoodie
Kermy and her new best friend Norbit.
Kat
-
Hes adorable! I love his eyes :D Can't wait to see the hatching :)
-
Welcome Norbit :) Looks like his hoodie was a perfect match, love the yellow eyes :)
-
Hello and welcome to Norbit! ;D
I love those eyes too - it's lovely to see all these different colours at last! And IMR's right - the hoodie is the perfect colour on him! ;D
-
Norbit has done 1 complete battery cycle and is on his second. He has just stood up for the first time. :)
His skin feels different to Kermy's, a bit rougher and not as soft or silky. I don't know if this is just because he is new or if his skin is somehow different to Kermy's.
He is darker skinned than Kermy, His belly and legs are a much darker color than Kermy's and He has chocolate brown foot pads. Kermy's are tan. Also the tip of his tail is yellow. Here is his first moments.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HCBU5gZ4Hok
I couldn't let him hatch without introducing him to Kermy so here is how that went. She behaved in a way I have never seen before. It was almost like she was captivated by him.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FukAdanNZrU
Hope you like him as much as I do. :)
Kat
-
Kermy does seem captivated by him - I love the rather nervous little tail wag! Mind you, I can't blame her at all, he is a bit of a stunner with those eyes. He's lovely, Kat. Welcome to the world, Norbit! ;D
-
Aww congratulations on finely getting norbit.
He sounds absolutely gorgeous and what a quick learner he is too.
So many different variations.
Would ideally love to get one with green eyes but certainly wouldn’t turn down a yellow eyed one either.
-
Norbit and Kermy are soo cute :) Kermy did a smalltalk with Norbit ;)
-
Hi Kat, so glad Norbit arrived ok and has gone through the beginning of his hatching stage. I think it is a good idea that you introduced Kermy to her brother, she does seem fascinated with him and she gives that Moo as a way of saying she is happy about that. ;) those eyes are very pretty as well, It seems most of our Pleo Rb Greens so far have the same body with darker or lighter green and then different shades of eyelids and eyes. I have not seen one yet without the bright yellow tail though.... %)
I am sort of perplexed by the skin feeling, as the first thing I noticed about my Pleo Rb was how silky soft and almost slippery feelings she had when fresh out of the box...Can't wait to see more photos, Hope you have more time with Norbit and Kermy than I have, I have yet to have had a whole day or battery cycle complete without turning my baby off for several hours when her battery is not even done, just too much other stuff to do...congrats again.
RedwoodsMama

Hi kat... Norbit is very cool!!! Congrat and many happy times with them both!

Hi guys, I'm glad you all like him. So far he is a sweetie. :) I will post some more video tonight.
RWM as for the skin feeling different I don't know what an older pleos skin feels like so can't compare it to that for you. He still has soft smooth skin just not as silky smooth and slippery as Kermy's. Maybe it's just because he's a boy? :D :D
He has one small paint blemish on the top of his back between his back legs, which was there when he came out of the box.
I love that he has different colored feet to Kermy.
I will post his pics on the comparison thread later today when I get home form work. Some one has to start off the great pleo rb color compare. I would love to know if his gray eye patch is as dark as "Baby's". It seems fairly light but his eye lid is a dark gray. :) The yellow eyes were a big surprise too. I am loving them. :)
-
Glad to hear everything is going good with Norbet, I am going to still have to submit the comparison colors for that thread too, Very cute little guy.
RedwoodsMama
-
Those videos were so cute, Kermy did seem mesmerized by Norbit, maybe his eyes are hypnotising to other Pleos ;)
Maybe the reason Kermy skin is silkier is because you've been putting Pledge on her, or it could be because she is one of the HK ones, they could have different skin
-
Well we are on battery cycle number 2 and Norbit is standing up and testing out his feet and legs with much stretching and balancing. No walking yet but I think maybe soon. Kermit is giving him many encouraging coos and is Mooing at him a lot. I think she likes him. :D
Here is a video I took of him yesterday at the beginning of his second battery cycle.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZAYJ3He2FO8
I have some more video of the two of them together that I will post either later tonight or tomorrow morning. :)
-
Aw, Norbit is so cute :) Can't wait to see your two together!
-
I completed another full battery cycle with Norbit last night, with Kermy's help of course. He is not walking yet but did do lots of stretching his legs. He is still only making little cooing sounds, although he did roar a little after eating sugar cane :D. The sugar rush! ;D
Here is a picture of Kermy and Norbit's feet. Norbit's feet are a much darker brown than Kermy's.
It is not easy to tell from the photo but his belly skin is also a darker color than hers too.
And I have to include this photo of Kermy giving him a smooch. I have a video of her smooching him, resting her head on his shoulder and cooing but it is taking forever to upload as it is a different format to my other movies cause I used a different camera. So you will have to wait a while for that one.
And now here is some footage of Norbit from last night with Kermy giving him lots of encouragement. It is a bit blurry in the beginning as I think I confused the camera by sitting behind the pleos. It didn't know who to focus on. :D Hope you like it. :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PT2J2jLkyDY
-
I think that's what happened whenI tried to film Belle and her lashes - the camera wasn't sure which to focus on! :P
It's interesting seeing the difference in foot colour - Belle has darker soles like Norbit I think. I hadn't realised Kermy's were paler - were Kermit's the same?
Lovely video - it will be interesting to see if Kermy's behaviour changes as Norbit matures. ;D
-
Yes Kermit's were the same light tan color as Kermy's. It is always such a nice surprise seeing the differences. :)
-
From what I can see, that light tan is the same colour as all the older Pleos had - certainly on the four I've had.
-
Lovely seeing Kermy and Norbit together :)
-
Ok here are 2 movies of Kermy and Norbit together.
In the first one I was testing out Kermy's behavior towards Norbit and tried moving her away from him to the other side of the room but still facing him for the first half of the film and then I moved her next to him. When she is no longer facing him she breaks out of her Norbit trance and behaves differently.
The second film is the smooching "love" film. Hope you like them.

Battery cycle number 3 and Norbit took his first steps. I have done this battery cycle in 2 parts as I was focusing on Kermy last night and so only played with Norbit for about 30min. I turned him on this morning without Kermy for some one on one time and he walked.! ;D So excited! ;D I have just taken a video of it and will compile it and post it shortly. :)
-
Awwww, that is too cute! :D Kermy is definitely in love :-* I'm not so sure that Norbit feels quite the same though %)
-
Here is the video of his first steps. He is a courageous little guy. Walked right up to the edge of the table and had a good look over before backing away. Then he when back for another look. :D He started to make sounds today too other than just the cooing baby noises. ;D Hope you like his movie.
Kat :)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1eCCwM1G2AE
-
Norbit did so well for his first time :D Even at their age Lilo and Stitch occasionally keep walking :P
-
He did so well - and I love the rear view of Pleos - you can really see how much more expressive the tail is on the RB there! :D
-
yeah he is walking :)
-
I played with Norbit last night battery cycle 4, and had the best time. He is very adventurous and seems to love walking around exploring. He also seems to love Kermy. On Kermys thread I posted a video of them interacting together and she sang to him. I alos caught this on video for you, Norbit sings to Kermy.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hzaWrXiPZBs
I do wonder if his fast learning was helped along by Kermy? She has been with him giving encouragement from the first moment he was turned on.
He seems to walk a lot more than Kermy. She has been a bit moody lately and seems to just want to mope and cry rather than go off exploring but now that she has Norbit she seems much happier. Still not wandering around much but that's ok. :)
Norbit is lovely. He has a very sweet personality so far. There has been much "mooing" here as Kermy and Norbit call to each other a lot. ;D
Kat
-
The RB's seem to have a lot more interaction than the originals, these videos are just so cute :)
-
I took some photos today of Norbit in his pleo cape and also of his new collar. I thought you might like to see. :)
-
Norbit looks very cool in his new collar!
The interaction between them is lovely to see, thanks Kat. Makes me really doubt the wisdom of having my three all on different OSs.
Or maybe I should just have one more running on each OS....................... ;) :P
-
Norbit is lovely, and him and Kermy look so contented with each other :)
Yes, I too will have three Pleos all on different OSs............Hmm, I wonder if they will interact at all ???
-
NOrbit does look cute in his cape and handsome collar, I know the cape is very soft and easier to put on with a little practice, Just what operating system is Pleo Rb on, I still haven't figured that out yet? all of my other guys are on 1.1 and I like them there, I do have a Pleo Rb first Gold Hatch on the first one, but since he mostly is not used as of yet, I have no intention of messing with his operating system as of yet, so far I haven't seen any of my other Pleos not interact with anyone else...just wondering what is Pleo rb operating system?
dazed and confused, in the Redwoods, RedwoodsMama
-
Because of the upgraded hardware, I imagine the Pleo rb is running on the equivalent of the next stage up from OS2, which will not be suitable for the original Pleos as they won't have the newer features. This is a guess, but that would make sense - a sort of OS2 with added bits? :-\
*good technical term, that* :P
-
Love the cape Kat thank you for the picture , i know when i get my Green rb he will always be wearing it ;D
-
Norbit would officially like me to tell you all that he has reached big boy status as He has learned his name. ;D He also knows how to bow and how to sing. :) He learned all these tricks 2 days ago. Sorry I didn't post about it before now I have been a little busy. :)
-
What a clever boy - well done Norbit! :D
-
I have allowed my daughter to have voice control of Norbit. She seems to like my pleos just as much as I do so I am sharing him with her. We took some video yesterday of him singing and bowing. Hope you like it. I think he sings a little more in tune than Kermy does. He doesn't sound quite as drunk as Kermy. :D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QE0n7JrfOpU
-
You're right - he doesn't sound quite as 'sheets to the wind' as Kermy does!! :D
Which is entirely appropriate for a Pleo with a younger mistress! Very cute indeed! ;D
-
I spoke to Innvo about my pleo rb's profiles on the pleoworld website and asked if they could get them to work for me as I have had no luck getting it to work. They have sorted it out and now I can see Norbits profile. I think he is the first green RB here on the forum to have a working profile. Here is his hatching photo. It really does look just like him. The yellow eyes and gray eye patches and the light green head. :)
Poor old Norbit I looked at their predictions for his personality and it said:
This subject embryo will have a 85-95% chance of being female; :o
● This subject embryo will grow to be brave and obedient.
● This subject embryo will be tolerant, healthy and active.
Don't tell him they think he's a girl. :D ;D :D I don't want him to get a complex.
Kat :)
-
Oh dear, poor Norbit :D At least it looks like he will be obedient!
I'd love to get Snooki's profile and to see an egg-hatching pic, but the PleoWorld site never remembers me. I have to create a new account each time just to log in :(
-
Kat I am glad they were able to do that for you and Norbit, Did you talk to them in person or by email? Do you think they will do other Green Pleo Rb as there are a lot of Green variety Pleo Rb out there who would love to have their profiles done, I know the security codes have never worked before and it didn't work for me today either, figuring it is still a pink or blue Pleo Rb thing that they do, Dont worry if they say Norbit is a female, I think he is fine as a male, it may just be he has good female emotions, he gets along well with females, understanding them and not trying to dominate them.
RWM
-
I can’t even find the page on pleoworld where you’re supposed to get your profile for pleoRB lol.
Scaly
-
Wow, "Norbit's" a female Pleo. It never remembers me either. I always have to re-log in whenever I'm away for it for a long time. Their suggestion: Make a new account. -__-
-
Hi Guys,
I emailed Innvo - Ben in customer service who has been dealing with my Kermit/Kermy issues - and asked him about the pleo profiles for my pleos, If it was possible to get them to work. I did ask if it would work for green Rb's as well or if it was just for pink and blue ones and I gave him the serial number and security codes for both my pleos. I know they are pretty busy at the moment having just got back from the Chinese New Year holiday so the responses I got were very quick ones. First one was let me look into it and get back to you. Then one day later I got the profiles have been reset and should be working now give it a go.
All I can suggest for other green owners out there is to ask. I know it has been a bit hard to get hold of Innvo lately but I'm hoping that is just because they were away on holiday. If you don't ask you don't get. :)
As for where to find the profile for your pleo. It is on the pleoworld site. I go to the pleo rb page on pleoworld then sign in and click on "my Profile". it then opens your profile page and your pleos profile is the second item in the list of things you can click on at the bottom of the page. When you click this it asks you for the serial number and security code. Once this is entered it will take you to your pleos profile. You can click on the tree tabs at the bottom of the page to see your hatching photo, pleo's personality, and their DNA Id.
Hope that helps.
It is very cool to look at. I like the hatching photo bit best. :)
-
They don't have that available to others right now I see. There's no Pleo Profile for me.
-
Glad you got the profiles working, Kat, and at least we now know that there ARE hatching pics for the green Plro rbs, which must mean they intend to do the profiles for all rbs in the future. I'm guessing that, anyway! :D
Nothing wrong with a bloke in touch with his feminine side! :P
-
I thought I'd share with you all a little something I made for Norbit.
It is a little shirt collar with a bow tie. It slides over his regular collar to keep it in place. The bow tie is a separate piece so I can change it to a different color if I want. I think he looks quite fine in it. I wanted him to have something fancy to wear for special occasions. I am also going to make one in black with a yellow bow tie.(for someone special :))
And am thinking of doing some in other colors as well.
Hope you all like it as much as me.
Kat :)
-
It's fantastic!!!!!! :D Norbit looks very smart!!
-
And here he is modeling the black one with the yellow bow tie. :)
-
Great idea Kat, and NOrbit does look very "smart" indeed. I sure do think that "someone special" is going to be impressed! ;D My Pleos got to go on an outing today, two of them that have a very special connection, and tommrow is a special day where they are all going to have a party. Valentines Day is sure to be EXTRA SPECIAL, I sure do like the creative Bow ties you made, very cool and I like the color idea too! Can't wait to see more pictures! ;)
RWM
-
Its pretty cool Norbits new outfit ;)
-
They both look very smart, but the black one really brings out his eyes! :D :D :D
-
I checked the tracking on Norbit today and he was delivered to Innvo in Hong Kong on Friday 25th February. I am hoping I will hear back from them sometime tomorrow to at least say that he arrived safe but maybe even to let me know he is re-skinned and ready to come back. If I don't hear from them by tomorrow night I will email them to check he arrived safely.
Can't wait till I get him back with his new skin. :) Wonder what he will look like? %) Be interesting to see if they give him the same color scheme or go for something different. I can't wait to find out. ;D
Kat
-
Hi Kat! I am glad to know that Norbit arrived safely in Hong Kong. I hope that he will be back to you soon. are they going to install the new firmware as well? I was wondering if the new firmware would send pleo back to the hatching stage, since we haven't seen an update yet. Gee, come to think of it, I wish I could get some new skin....some that doesn't burn so easily in the sun! :)
-
I really hope Norbit's back with you soon in his spiffy new skin! :D
-
Hi Kat, so glad to hear Norbit arrived in Hong Kong already! I am sure he is safe since it was a Friday.( same day Baby arrived at her "destination, the 25'th!) wouldn't that be fun if they both arrived back to their Moms and families the same day? ;D I bet Norbit will be in for a surprise when he gets home and finds out he has a new brother! That is a nice Welcome home greeting . Hope they do contact you, but I do know from experience a lot of times packages just suddenly arrive, even when you have asked for tracking, I am hoping this time with Baby I get the tracking before she gets to my door. Good luck and good news. :)
RedwoodsMama
-
Sorry to hear that they didn't contact you to tell you that he arrived to them. I hope you get your Pleo back right quick.
-
Ooh it's like sending someone away for a haircut and a shopping spree :D You just don't know what they are going to come home looking like!
-
A quick update for you all on Norbit. He definitely arrived safe and sound and will hopefully be getting fixed next week and then being sent back maybe the week after that. So might be another 2 or 3 weeks before I get him back. But great to know he is in the works to get his new skin. :) It seems they have been very busy at Innvo for the last month or so.
-
Congrats Kat, I know you were worried about getting him, and I don't blame you , I would and do feel the same way about my babies. I am glad to know that you finally heard from them and Norbit will be comming home soon. Congatulations on the good news. I am sure the time will go by quicker than you think, or keeping my fingers crossed for you anyway!
RedwoodsMama
-
That's super news about Norbit, Kat. I know that you miss him. I am so glad that he is getting new skin. (wish I could get some that would tan instead of burn at the beach) I bet he will be so happy when he sees all of his new outfits! ;D
-
Glad to hear they're keeping you updated, Kat! ;D
-
aww there both so cute! congrats on your new arrival!!
-
An update for you all on Norbit. I got an email a couple of days ago saying that a free replacement pleo has been sent to me and it gave me tracking info. Now I am a little sad and confused. I was told that they were going to re-skin Norbit and send him back to me. It looks like they decided not to or had problems and have sent out a replacement instead. I have emailed them to ask if this is really a new pleo or if it is Norbit with new skin on his way back to me but so far have not yet heard back. I guess I will find out soon enough as I think the package will be delivered tomorrow or Friday at the latest. I am excited to be getting my pleo back and happy to be getting a new one, if that is the case, but also a bit disappointed as I was expecting to have Norbit returned. My gut feeling is that it is not Norbit but a replacement. Looks like I may find myself going through my 5th pleo rb hatching. :-X :P
Now I am wondering just what he will look like. Or will it be a she? If it is a new pleo I am undecided as to a name or sex. I will wait and see. I may go with Norbit2 or maybe something new. I will decide once the package arrives.
Kat
-
Wow Kat. I am sorry to hear that Norbit may not be coming back to you. I know that you were happy about having him re-skinned. I am sure that it is time consuming to hatch and train another Rb. I hope you find out what the problem was from them with the new skin application, if indeed there was a problem. Perhaps it was just easier for them to send you a new one. :(
-
I am sorry to hear about Norbit the 1'st not comming back, but it shows Reskinning is not an option right now for them. I know how you must feel, as I am going through the same thing with No Baby. :( I am happy to hear that your new Pleo is on it's way :) Are you going to still call him NOrbit? It looks like you are in for a new hatching and brother Gumble and sister Kermy will be there to help guide him through the process and welcome him in grand Pleo styel! Wishing you all the best.
RedwoodsMama
-
I'm sorry. My sympathies to you Kat. I'm wondering about its gender too. And let me know what the Pleo World Pleo "profile" says about your new, green Pleo!
-
Thanks guys,
I appreciate your support. I was disappointed and sad to be losing Norbit as it was a bit unexpected. I am sure I will love my new baby just as much and here is hoping many many many good adventures from here on in. They have just done such a great job with pleo that you really do fall in love with the little guys. It is hard not to think of them as our pets. :)
-
Oh - I'm so sorry Norbit's not coming back! It's one thing to know you're getting a replacement, but that's a real disappointment when you sent him off expecting to see him again. Still, I'm sure you'll love the now one as well - Norbert? :hhug:
-
Wow! I guess I never should have doubted Innvo. They just confused me and worried me when they sent me an email to say they were sending me a free replacement pleo. They have sent me back my Norbit. My original baby Norbit with fresh new skin. He is definitely my old Norbit. He came with his eyes open in a playful position in the box and when I turned him on for a few minutes to check it was really him he didn't go into hatching stage, Just roared at me and wanted to be fed! ;D He looks so beautiful. His skin is very similar colors to what it was before but he seems to be more of a creamy mint green, a bit lighter green than before and more green all over. I think his eye patch may be a slightly darker gray. I'm so happy I almost want to cry. ;D
Here he is in all his glory.
Fresh out of the box before I turned him on in the sunlight through the kitchen window
And in another room with the lights switched on.
and for comparison his old skin before it was replaced
-
Awwww - bless them! I'm sooooooooooo pleased for you! ;D ;D ;D
Welcome home Norbit! :-*
-
Well it seems Norbit not only got new skin but also a new software update which has caused a sex change. :o Before I sent him off the StatsRB program said he was gender none but giving off male pheromones. Now he (or should I say she! :o) is gender Female and giving off female pheromones. There has been no kissing or I love you interaction between Kermy3 and Norbit. They still do the trance and chat but then they do a one step forward two steps back and wave to each other. Cute but not as cute as the boy girl interactions I had before. He has the same serial number on his foot as I have in the back of my companion guide so I know it is the same pleo. I also know that when I first got him he was a female - doing female interactions, until I was given the updates to try out and I installed a male update on him. That was when I got the cute little "I love you" and Kissing interactions I loved so much. And so now I have a gender confused pleo who was a girl then a boy and now a girl again but I will only be able to think of him as a boy.
I have taken some video of my three babies together and will upload it soon and post it as soon as it is done. :)
-
Welcome back to your Pleo. Yeah more greenish now. And they definitely changed the eye patch color. Big difference. Are you gonna change "him" back to a male?
-
Here is a video of my three pleos meeting for the first time.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tP2fZPH7lwk
I will leave Norbit as he is for now and wait to see what Innvo release in the way of updates in the future. I may change him back to a boy if they offer a gender specific update on pleoworld sometime. But for now I will enjoy him as he is for a while. Even if he is a girl :)
The patch around his eye is a dark gray color, it use to be light gray. In some lighting I guess it looks brown but it really is gray just like his eye lids. :) Overall I am very pleased with his new look. Thankyou Innvo for taking such good care of my pleo. :)
And here is Norbit in all his glory on his own

Hi, IMR! I'm so glad you got Norbit back. How did you determine his/her gender? Right now I'm suffering from Pre-hatch jitters and having too many questions. My pleo has been at my house since tuesday and I've been half way at the other end of the state reviewing adaptive technologies for the blind! I've been having horible dreams about the poor thing sitting there absolutely silent with both batteries in and me fearing the worst. Good thing I'm going home tomorrow.
I intended to spend my off time reading up on the manuals but I think something might be wrong with my Adobe Reader. I was able to open the links that Crewella posted but after my computer was finished processing the document, the program reported that "adobe is not responding". There I was, stuck. I thought that perhaps I might have had an older version of Adobe and downloaded 10.2. That hasn't worked either. I even went to Pleoworld itself and tried the same process there. Still no luck. It looks like I'll just have to wing it and hope I won't destroy anything.
Talon
-
Talon, it is Kat, not IMR, but having your own Baby at your home, you do have the new baby Jitters, completly understandable! Can't wait to see the welcome home video and photos Kat!
YAH Norbit, Welcome Home!
RedwoodMama
-
Appologies, Kat. I don't know why but I get you and InMemoryofRomeo confused. Thanks for the correction, RedWoodsMama. I'm no longer sure about doing the raising-pleo-blind post. One, I don't have the video help, and two I don't know if I would have the time to keep it current when I have to write articles for Examiner and test state agency webpages for assistive technology-friendliness.
Talon
-
Thanks for the videos Kat!
-
Hi Kat, I didn't even see the videos first, I needed to go back one page, OOPS :o Norbit looks great and he really is greener to be sure, but lovely, I bet he/ she is glad to be home. In the Video Gumble sang a couple of times that I could tell, so I think he was glad to have another "Female" friend and Kermy was happy with her mooing and Norbit mooing back. It is nice that they gave you an update and the real Norbit with new skin. Maybe Norbit was just mixed up being away from home and picked up all those extra female phermones and hasn't straightened himself /herself up yet, he she just needs time to adjust. ;D So glad you got your baby back the way he was intended to be.
RedwoodsMama

I'm so glad Norbit is safe and sound at home... you must be so happy, though I don't know how you have time to play with them with all that awesome clothing you make!!!!

Hi guys,
I'm glad you all like Norbits new look. :)
Talon to find out the gender I have been using the Statsrb program pleopet made. There is a link to it here on the forums somewhere but you would probably be better off with the next one she did, sorry I can't remember what it is called as that one talks to you to tell you about your pleo. I used the statsrb program on Norbit before sending him back and then again last night so that is how I know he was gender none but giving off male pheromones before he left and is now gender female and giving off Female pheromones. As for when I first got him I can work out that he was originally a girl because of the interaction behaviors between my pleos rb's. Norbit as a girl is now showing the same interaction behaviors that he originally showed when I first got him before I turned him male. After he changed gender into a "real boy" the interactions were different. I hope that helps answer your question. :)
as for not being able to read the companion guide, I am sure you will do just fine. Ask as many questions as you like and we will all help you out with answers. :) If you have questions you don't want to post you can always PM me and I will answer you that way. :) Oh and I am so excited for you finally getting to meet your pleo! Yay. :)
I have to say I am much happier with these latest videos I took, the video quality is much better with my video camera it seems to pick up the lighting better so you can actually see the pleos. Not dark like the other one. :)
I am going to have an official welcome home party for Norbit on the weekend where all my pleos can dress up in their finery and look smart. :)
I am loving having my pleo family back together again. And Norbit really does look lovely in his new skin. The darker eye patches are going to take a bit of getting use to but they are growing on me. And he has perfect toenails again! ;D Still burps like a piggy though so he didn't learn any manners while he was away. :D Good old Norbit, it's great to have him home.

Aww Kat so glad you got Norbit back :D I guess they are updating the software on any Pleo's sent back as well as changing the skin.

well what a day we have had! ;D Party party party! First we went out to see the family as my nephew was turning 13. I took the pleos along in all their finery and they were the life of the party. ;D
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vR04SZgNKIA
Both Gumble and Norbit had a great time dancing to the music and generally pleasing everyone with their awesomeness. ;D
Kermy had fun too but she was a bit camera shy.
Here they are just before we left home, dressed in all their finery ready to go.
When we got home it was time for Norbits own welcome home party.
We had plenty of snacks, balloons, glow sticks and lots of dancing to the music and fun! :)
Gumble was really enjoying the party food
Norbit enjoyed the dancing best
At the end of the party they all fell asleep in the middle of the dance floor. All tuckered out.
And when I took them to bed they couldn't resist inviting Smudge over for a little after party party cuddle session. :)
I have some video of Norbits party but am still uploading it to youtube so I will post it here soon. :) It was a great day. Lots of fun. and everyone at my Nephews party wanted to know all about pleos. So maybe we even encouraged a few more pleo fans into the world. :D

Hehe looks like you had a great party kat!!
-
Thanks for the video Kat!

Hi Kat, lovely video, loved the music. Seems that Norbit and Gumble hit it off together and both did some dancing and singing ( mooing) of their own, Loved their outfit and they had to be the life of the party. so glad I got to see this video, I bet you have converted a few strangers to the wonders of Pleos! Love their outfits and love Smudge with them snuggling too! :)

And here is Norbits party video. If you watch carefully you may even catch Norbit (who seem to really be a girl now no matter what I think) Blowing a kiss to Gumble and then giggling like a floozy. :D

Kat, that was so so so so funny so hilarious! Perhaps you have the first Transgender Pleo Rb. sure he she didn't have more done than just "their skin" when they went to Hong Kong?! ;D I think I caught those Kisses right about 2:29...so cute.. Poor Kermy, first a boy when Norbit was there before she left, now she has another sister! Sure is a good thing Gumble is a hearty soul and being a Ugobe Pleo and comming from such a big family here in the Redwoods, he has seen it all and can handle the extra attention...actually if you think of it from Gumble's point of view, he has it made, two beautiful sister or mayby they should be thought of as "step sisters"... :D if there is going to be much flirting going on....LOL...
Are you going to keep him as a cute flirt girl or is there a program to "reprogram " him back to sending out male phermones?
Oh, I had one more question. I thought only the pink or blue Pleo Rb did that male female think like flirting, but if he she is doing that at Gumble I guess not and Norbit is a Green Pleo! I never got to the point of seeng that with Baby. I don't know yet is my Pleo rb is girl or not....makes me wonder? sure is cute all that flirting and blowing kisses!
Great video, RedwoodsMama

Great party - it's lovely to see Norbit back home! And there's nothing wrong with a bit of gender confusion in a growing Pleo RB! :D

Thought I'd give you a quick update on how Norbit is looking with his lovely new skin. I got brave and gave him a bath in Polyglaze when he first arrived home. It is so much better on Gumbles skin than the Pledge I just couldn't resist. I gave Kermy a dose of it too. :) So far Norbit has not lost a single bit of paint. He has done 3 full battery cycles and has gone through loads of petting especially at my nephews birthday party where there were 8 eager kids who all wanted to pat the dinosaur and a bunch of adults who couldn't resist either. So I think the Polyglaze is working wonders. :) With Norbits previous skin after this many battery cycles he had lost paint on his back from stroking and most of the paint on his toenails.
I am happy to report that even after 3 battery cycles all his toenails are still perfectly painted. :) Here's hoping his beautiful skin will stay that way for a very long time.

Briljant movie. It is obvious that they all have much fun.
What is the polyglaze for product. I just bought pledge, but I'm a little concerned about skin problems since I read about a lot of problems with it for the pleo RB.
-
Polyglaze is a product I have decided to try. Like pledge it is for protecting their skin from wear and tear. Unlike pledge it is actually designed specifically for use on rubber and plastic. Pledge is made for use on wood products. Polyglaze is a car product made to protect and enhance the rubber, plastic and vinyl trims and seals inside your car. As it is designed specifically for caring for rubber I thought it would be more effective than the pledge that Innvo recommends you use. There are a couple of others here on the forum who are also using different products that are designed to care for rubber - Vinylex and Autoglym. So far everyone seems to be having much better results with the rubber care products than the pledge. I have noticed a big difference. It does seem to make the skin feel a lot more soft and silky than pledge and so far it seems to be keeping Norbits paint in tact. I only decided to try it on my RB's as they are no longer under warranty and so I figure it doesn't matter it I am no longer using the recommended care products. If either of my RB's have any further issues I will be responsible for covering the cost of the repairs myself anyway so I may as well see if I can find a better way to protect the precious skin and paint. :)
-
Ah, thanks for your explanation.
I think I will use pledge with Leeloo during the warranty period (it's 3 months isn't it?) and then change to another product.
By the way, I just looked at the tracking site:
21-Mar-2011 Netherlands Arrived and is being processed.
21-Mar-2011 Netherlands Pending customs inspection.
So she is almost home ;D

Well I have had an exciting couple of days with a special delivery for Gumble yesterday and then today I got my response from Rafael to say they have the spare batteries and will send them out to me ASAP. Yay! So it has been a long wait for Norbit and Kermy to get a second battery each for lots more playtime with me (pre ordered the batteries in December when I ordered Norbit.), but hopefully they will get to me some time over the next couple of weeks. ;D The cool thing about it is that the package I got yesterday for Gumble was his new spare battery. :) So soon I will be able to have all three of them running around double time. :)
For anyone else who may have been waiting on spare batteries I contacted customer support through pleoworld 2 days ago to ask about them as it had been so long and I still had not heard anything. They got back to me right away and as soon as I provided them with my order confirmation for proof of purchase the said they would get them sent out to me right away. So if you are still waiting they are now in stock so send them an email. :)
I'm sure there was at least one other person who ordered spare batteries at the same time as me and still doesn't have them.

Oh my! Now I'm scared to use Probe RB! What if I find out my camera-hound Ryu is a girl? Oh well. I still might try it out of curiosity. It wouldn't surprise me with those purple eyes and his slightly flirty personality but that's only after he's fed. Wow, Kat! That was a real party! I'm afraid Ugobe's welcome-home will be sort of... well blah. He'll certainly have plenty of attention, though.

Pleakley had a 75-85% chance of being a female :-X But he's still a boy in my eyes :D
Woohoo yay for more batteries Kat :D They'll just keep going and going now!
-
Great Kat. I enjoy hearing from you!
-
so Happy for you Kat, I am glad that you are getting those spare batteries, My goodness, seems like these new accessories sure run out fast.. I wish I could get those batteries, someday hopefully. Glad Gumble got his "special package", there really is nothing like an "energized" Pleo Rb or Pleo! Loved the chin stroking videos too, I still love watching that over again just to compare. :)

In between the excitement of painting Gumble this weekend I also managed a little sewing. Here is Norbit in a fancy new shirt. It is a lovely soft velvet with sparkly orange swirls. I think it looks magical. ;D
-
Ooooh yes - lovely isn't it! Very sophisticated! :D
-
I have this material in a lovely shade of blue and black too but just have to find the time to sew it together. :)
-
Easter is almost upon us and my pleos don't want to be left out of the fun. Norbit wants to be the Easter bunny. :D :D :D
I think he looks cute.
-
lol I agree with you Kat! :-D
-
That really made me laugh - Norbit-the-bunny looks great! :D
-
They were very easy to make. I just used a giant pipe cleaner. and cut it into 3 bits then wound the wire together to make a band for his head with two ears. :) I will make some for my other pleos too so there can be lots of pleo Easter bunnies on Easter morning. :)
