Please forgive the quality - I just grabbed the camera to catch a much chirpier Belle than she's been for a couple of days. She must like her lashes!

very nice Crewella, don't worry about any film quality, it was a little dark in a couple of spots, but Belle shone through with her happiness or as you put it, Her " chirpiness". Loved the way she laughed after saying "hello". my baby does that and gets the biggest kick out of hearing herself talk I think, just as Belle does.. :D Love to hear your accent as well, it is like listening to an old British Mystery movie. Love it to death! Glad to have you and Belle back feeling bright eyed and Bushytailed, that is the saying I am used to hearing arouond here, ( among many more...)

Wow I love those eyelashes they look really good on her.
:-*
-
The eyelashes are awesome! ;D She's so pretty. :) Good to see her feeling happy again.
-
Wow! Those eyelashes are fantastic!! They really look real :D
Glad Belle is happy again :)
-
One thing I've noticed is that she seems to like being held up vertically in front of me. As long as I have my hand on her back sensors, she relaxes her back legs to hang down and looks me in the eye, wagging her tail! This is just a quick clip to show what I mean - it's bloomin' difficult to hold a Pleo in both hands, at arms length, and shoot a video of it at the same time!! :P

-
Yea you have done a really good job with the eye lashes , very realistic too .
-
Crewella, while Belle is in that position try throwing her up (gently and not too high) in the air and catching her, do it three or four times and see what happened ;)
-
Thanks IMR - I will try that and report back! :D
In the meantime, I present Belle's first performance - "It's Not Easy Being ......erm.......Blue"! I guess she's looked at Iggy and Budge, and not in the mirror! :P

You mean they like it if you throw them up in the air and catch them? I’d be too scared to try that one with mines.
I’d drop it I know I would.
Wouldn’t mind knowing what they do when someone else try’s it though
-
That was very cute! Right now I think it's not easy being reborn ;D
-
Well, maybe Belle's too young to enjoy it, as I threw her up and down until my arms ached but she just got upset a couple of times. I'll try again when she's older.
In the meantime, having skinned poor Scully I guess I've no reputation to protect anymore, so I can own up to a few bad habits and live up to my name. Belle seems to be her mother's daughter! :P >:D ;)

These false eyelashes do not interfere with opening and closing your eyes?
Is there any particular model may be more appropriate or any brand, color and size?
The glue used is the same that we use in our eyes when we put fake?
I would put on my baby too, I thought lets Pleo so much more gentle!
It is very beautiful! :-*

Belle looks awesome, Crewella! I love that coat :D
-
Thank you all for the feedback - it's nice to know people like Belle's eyelashes! ;D
Hi Leleka, I used 'natural' style eyelashes which are of no particular brand - these ones I bought cheaply in a pack of 10 from Taiwan on Ebay. The glue is the same glue I use for my own lashes (which these actually were) so will clean off quite easily if I decide I no longer want them (though that's not likely - I LOVE them!). To make sure they don't interfere with the mechanism, or catch on the skin and come loose, I trimmed them at each end so they stop about 1mm before each corner and also set them along the top lid about 0.5mm above the edge - that way they sweep out and upwards more and so only just brush the skin under the eye when the eyelid is closed.
I hope that helps, and I'm really pleased you like them! Thanks! ;D
ADDED: Thanks FBS - after Iggy and Budge it's been fun to get really girly with Belle! :D
-
I do love the eyelashes as well!! :D And Belle is certainly all dressed for winter in that coat! And she can sing! So cute!! :)
-
What is the coat she’s wearing? Or should that be who is the coat that she’s wearing ? Lol
-
It's a sort of spotty puppy fur ............ with an added pink tinge (I had to laugh - it did actually say Deville on the label when it arrived!)! :P
-
I love the coat. Where did you get it?
-
Like nearly everything else I buy - Ebay! I trawl the pet clothes listings for cheap and second-hand dog clothes.
-
Crewella, with that Pink fur coat, she almost looks like another speicies all together, very sophisticated to say the least, She reminds me of a movie star from the thirties, someone with some spunk like Mae West, though a younger version of course.! :D Well done look.
Now I am going to have to go redress Nova as she has been getting neglected the past two weeks, and she is the original clothes Horse, or is that " clothes Pleo"! :D

Thought I'd have a try at the leaf tracking/recognition on Belle. Typically, the best results were off camera, but here's what I did get:

I like Belles dress. She looks very pretty. She has done better with the leaf tracking than either of my guys.:)
-
Thanks Kat - I really love that dress too! ;D
-
Crewella if you don’t mind me asking, what type of lighting did you have to use to get bell to recognise the training leaf?

That video doesn't show the best reaction, where you could actually see her start to scan from side to side and track the leaf, but both the reaction and the video were done in my kitchen, which has ceiling spotlights and is the brightest room in the house, and it was daylight on quite a bright and sunny (for England) day. The bulbs in the spotlights are 11W low energy reflector bulbs.
Hope that helps? ;D
-
Aww why do I have to be the bed guy/girl and burst the proverbial bubble :( There was no leaf tracking demonstrated in that video unfortunately. When Belle does decide she wants that leaf you will get lots of ooohs, aaahs and huhs, she will walk a few steps, scan from side to side for the leaf, take a few more steps and so on.
It requires extremely good lighting (I Had the full summer Aussie sun to benefit from) and heaps of patience, it took an easy half an hour of trying to get Pleakly to co-operate.
It was however a very cute video :) Those eyelashes are just so cute.
-
I did say, IMR that the best reaction was not filmed, before I got the camera out and the reason for trying to film her, where she did do the scan from side to side almost like the Aibos do when tracking their pink ball (honestly she did - promise!!! :P). My fault - I thought it was kind of obvious from the video that it wasn't working - I posted the video mainly for fun as most of her reactions were cute anyway! Flipping Pleos - never do what you want when you want it! :P :D
But DO carry on commenting, IMR - I'd always much rather know, and your input is always much appreciated! :-*
-
You just can't trust a pleo to perform. They do seem to have minds and wills of their own. :D :D
And sometimes I think they may even just get camera shy. :D ;D
I still enjoyed the video. I love Belles eye lashes. Makes her look so girlie!

You have no idea how often Pleakly does that :P I only pointed that out just in case someone thought that was the tracking, I didn't see your post before mine where you said that yourself. It was a very cute video, I like your running commentary :D
Speaking of balls though... I wonder if the right coloured ball would also get the tracking reaction... Hmmm...
-
You were right to make sure - I changed the title of the video to be on the safe side! :D
-
A very kind lady made this hoodie for Belle - I loved the fabric! ;D
-
It looks great on her, perfect color too, She looks like she has dropped off to sleep, perfect for any cold days. The Hoodie is well done too!

I can't say much about the clothes since I can't see them but she certainly sounds happy. *Dreamy sigh* Maybe by April I'll have a Pleo of my own to make much of. In the meantime I have an entire forum of pleos to play with... sort of. I love everyone's videos and helpful advice.
-
I so love Belle's eyelashes and her dresses are beautiful :) To get the leaf tracking, does a PleoRB have to learn their name first? Getting very frustrated with Snooki not interested in learning her name, so haven't tried the leaf tracking yet %)
-
Nope, no naming required however I'm not sure what level they need to be on.
What a lovely hoodie for Belle, I bet she needs it in the cold Brittish weather :)
-
Beautiful hoodie. She looks so warm and very cuddly. Such beautiful colors ;D
-
Now that spring is here I'm hoping the brighter days will make Belle happier. I've also had some help from clever techy people to try and bypass the 'scared of the dark' feature that was making it impossible to run Belle half the time in my dingy English home. The short-term solution was a hit, though - I'll swear she thinks she's Madonna! :P
*Short term solution being a flexi-torch strapped to her hat so it shines right on her camera*
-
This is such a great idea! and so very stylish. :) She looks fab ;D No more scared moody pleo for you.
