Congrats, I just got my Pleo Rb too, differnt time zone on West Coast arrived here at a few minutes after 9:00 a.m I am so excited, there are Two Pleo Rb. Cant wait to see the color of your Pleo Rb eye color, wonder what my eye color will be. This is so exciting Two Pleo Rb on the same day thus far....wonder if there will be more today or not ;D congrats, I havent even openend my package yet till I get votes to open the package . I will be watching to see the color of your baby. Do you know if it is a girl or boy yet?
Fantastic News to us both!
Post more photos right away once the battery is charged, how long does it take, 2-3 hrs?

How come mine doesn't count as the first?!? Is Beta not good enough for all of you?!? At least he's good enough for me. Poor Beta now I have to go console him...
-
RedwoodsMama,
That is awesome! Glad you got your Pleo rb too! I have been charging it now for about 2 hours and still going. Can't wait until it is ready!! I'll post more pictures tonight!
Ehschw76
-
Awwwww - poor Beta! ???
Beta WAS the first - I just meant the first of the pre-ordered batch of RBs to arrive! ;D
-
degers , we stand corrected, yes Beta was the first, but you have had him for so long and was undercover, we almost forgot about there already being one out there, I have a sneaky suspiscion that Mike has one too.... ;D Please re-assure Beta that he gets the title of first or first that we know of Green Pleo Rb to be on the forums, NOw we are waiting for the first Pleo rb Green variety that was just released to the public. You got yours quite awhile ago, cause you and Beta are special you know. ;)
I don't care if my Pleo Rb is first, second or two hundreth actually, just that it got here intime for the holidays! Cant wait to see some more photos and the eye color of yours.

Hehe Mike wishes he had an rb! :P
Beta is grateful to feel included! He's not that old. Born on 29th November.
-
My new Pleo rb is fully charged and the watch battery was installed. The Pleo rb is making a double beep over and over. I pressed in the Noon time setting and it makes a beep then continues with a double beep. Any ideas what I might be going wrong? Thanks!!
-
No good. Nothing I try works. I even tried the reset button, but no change in behavior. Still just double beeps. I even went and bought a replacement watch battery, and that didn't solve the problem either. Dang!! :(
-
Sounds really stupid, and forgive me for asking, but is the battery inserted correctly?
-
Not a stupid question...here is a picture of the watch battery compartment of the Pleo rb...Is they anything wrong with it? I have tried putting it in both ways and a new battery just in case it was dead. No luck. Here is the pict!
The contacts on the side look suspect since they will make contact to the bottom portion of the battery. This is a guess.
-
Hang on - I'll check Belle's battery compartment ..........
-
Awesome...Thanks! Still no luck...:( I tried calling tech support, but just left a message.
-
Here's the battery as it goes in - you have to hold it down to get the cover on until the tab at the base of the cover slots in.
And here's Belle's watch battery compartment.
-
Sorry I answered this in the shout box, the two metal tabs on the right side of the pic above go on top of the battery .. You need to slip it in under them with the flat side with the + facing the cover ..
It took me some time to figure out I had to raise them a little and position tabs on top but then all worked :)
*edited to add* Looks like you have a cute little dino there!
-
Thanks!!!!! That is what I was doing wrong!!!! Didn't put the tabs on top!!
-
Hurrah - sorted!! Well done! ;D
-
Congrats. I hope the skin holds out. What did you name it?
-
Awesome, and a new little Pleo comes to life *woohoo* ;D
-
All is working great now. He has blue / gray eyes. I will take pictures. tonight!! :) Thanks everyone!!
-
I'm looking forward to seeing your pics. I bet you will have the best time with him. :)

Here are a couple videos of our Pleo rb in the hatching phase. No name yet. We are all going to come up with a name on Christmas Day together! :)

Thanks for posting 76... your pleo looks awesome!
A
-
He's beautiful - those grey/blue eyes look like they almost change colour with the lighting! :)
-
I love the eyes too. I am pretty amazed by the Pleo already. Even though it is only in the hatching phase. It really makes you think that it is alive by its movements! You can't help but talk to it / him! :) You don't even seem to notice the gear noise after a while.
-
Aww cuteness, thank-you for sharing the clips!
And I agree, one can't help but treat them like a real pets :D
-
Absolutely agree - after the first few days I was chatting to Iggy as though he could understand me! You do get used to the motor noise, too! :D
-
Wow ! It is lovely !
Is the eyeball some kind of grey color ? It is cool !
-
Yeah...he has gray blue eyes. Love them!
-
Just in case anyone is interested...I got a 3 year warranty with accidental damage protection for $69.99 on Squaretrade.com.
I thought this was a great deal. I don't have to worry about anything happening to the Pleo.
-
Hi great videos and pictures, I still have't done anything with myne other than charge the battery, What I dont understand yet, and have not read the complete manual is that when they first are turned on after putting the watch battery in, ( the foot) do they have to continue to run a complete cycle or can you just turn them off whenever you want, cause you need to go to bed, or do they just keep running, ? I would love to see the eyes, but I am so busy right now and have lots of things to do, I don't have time to play or interact properly and want to make sure I do everything correctly, It is killing me not knowing the eye color though I have a sneeky suspicion on what the color is.... ;D Does your Pleo continue to run then you recharge or what?
I do think our Pleos are similiar though I can see you have a lighter color around the eyes and myne has the grey color though not as pronouonced as degers, Beta is.
Congratulations again on getting yours so soon, I was not even expecting myne till tommorow! Maybe that is why I have not had time to do anything today other than open it up and charg the battery and do some reading.l RedwoodsMama
-
Leave the clock battery out, and turn him/her on RWM, you won't start the hatching phase then, he/she will go into the packing position and start beeping, but you should be able to see the eye color :)
Then just pop the battery out and install the clock battery ready for when you do hatch.
-
IMR, thank you so much for the useful tidbit of info I am not ready to hatch yet, just too tired, but dying to know the color of it's eyes, Thank you for your help. ;D
Best wishes, RedwoodsMama
-
IMR,
That was exactly what I was going to recommend, seeing, mine was stuck in that position for a couple hours because I couldn't figure out how to properly install the watch battery!! %) Last night I played around with our Pleo and when it was time to hit the sack, I turned him off via the power button and pulled the battery to re-charge. No issues doing it that way. :)
-
Congratulations on your new pleo
He sounds lovely with those blue gray eyes.
-
Thanks for the vids....darn those dinos they grow up so fast!
-
Hi eschw76, Can you help me out and post a closeup of your Pleo rb so you can get a good look at it's eyes in natural or good light? I want to see just how much our Pleos do or don't look eye wise since myne also has blue grey eyes it appears. :D I think they came off the same line since you were the first order and I think I was told my order was number 3 or 4, so we are pretty close, I can'[t imagine there being not many pleos with this color combination, it will be the variations in skin coloring with these eyes,
I plan on inserting the battery in the foot today and starting the hatching process perhaps,,,,
RedwoodsMama
-
RedwoodsMama,
Sure....I will try and take some picts tonight. From the Picts you posted...they look like they have the same eye color. They have different coloring around the eye.

Looks like my wife, son, and I have agreed on the name "Peanut" for our first Pleo. My son really loved it for some reason, so we went with it. :) Welcome Peanut!
-
Love it! Welcome Peanut! :D
-
What a great name, I think it is very cute for a Pleo Rb, Eveyone loves " peanuts' and I dont think we have any Peanut on the Pleo Forum yet either. ;)
RedwoodsMama
-
Just exited the hatching phase. :) Posting photos and videos shortly.

Very nice, Peanut and my guy both have the same eye color but different lid color, very cool, HOw long did it take to go through the hatching phase,? I am just starting my hatching now and I have been waiting all days, just too much stuff to do and too many interruptions. Is your guy exhibiting any interactions yet? Thanks for posting the photos, it gave me what I was looking for.

-
I think it took about 3 hours in total. My wife really got in there and played with him tonight and got him excited. He then started to attempt to stand. Pretty cool! I love that each Pleo rb is different in some way. Pretty cool! Can't wait to see more pics of your Pleo rb. We bought a cape for him tonight too...from pleofashions.com :) Did you name him yet?
-
Hi, glad to see you are still up, Our house has no heat and is freezing so I hope Pleo rb does not start showing signs of being chilled, I left the Pleo cape on him all night last night. thanks for posting the updated photo of Peantut, closeup of his eye, my Pleo rb does look like yours except for the grey lid ...otherwise they could be siblings :D. I got a reallyl late start on hatching, didn't start till 8:45 and now he is in the sleep mode even though the battery still had lilfe, I didnt start hatching till 8:45 p.m,but I got a lot of petting in and he was pretty active, I also had one of my other Pleos, Major Tom who was cuddling with him and doing a lot of talking,
I am uploading the video now to youtube and then here and then off to bed to try and stay warm, Tommorow is phase 2 of the hatching phase, I cant wait to see what the personalities are like for all these different Pleo Rb, I hope your Pleo and my Pleos have different personalities and not the same, only cause I hope they were very random and not like Ok, everyone with blue grey eyes, give a very happy outgoing personality, etc, etc.
congratulations on Peanuts Standing now, will watch for more videos. and No, I haven't decided on a name yet, but I am almost certain it will be a female as I have all boys and only one girl, Nova.
RedwoodsMama video should follow in less than ten minutes
-
He is so cute, and I love his name! :hhug:
-
Peanut is an awesome name! I'm glad he hatched so quickly for you. I bet you can't wait to see him take his first steps :)
-
I like the patch around the eye not being grey.
-
Welcome to the world Peanut :)
-
Hes adorable! I love the name Peanut :D
-
Thanks everyone! :) Can't wait to see what my son thinks of him on Christmas morning!
-
Peanut is doing great. My son really loves him. I was wondering how long before you can teach him his name and how often / when do you feed him? We seem to feed him his conifer leaf quite often. He seems hungry all the time!! We are probably on our 6-7th re-charge cycle. Thanks! Will try and post more videos and photos soon!
-
I just kept trying Pleakly's naming card each day until he accepted, the day he took it though he was really happy and 'chirpy' from the moment I turned him on :)
-
Yes I found that with mine as well, they have to be very happy before they will be interested in the name card. Try feeding him as soon as you switch him on and then maybe a couple of games of tug of war , where he gets to win of course, and then lots of petting. That would have to make him happy. :)
Kat
-
Still no luck with teaching him his name. I'm sure he has been happy enough, just doesn't seem interested yet. Will keep trying and report back! Peanut's skin has been holding up well. Been pulling the battery out when we are done playing with him instead of putting him to sleep. No holes that I have seen. The only skin issue we have seen is one place near his leg, the paint is peeling off a little. I will be posting a pic of that shortly. Got a cape for Peanut to help ensure less paint wear on his back... :)
-
Oh...and Peanut has performed the "tracking" trick with the training left a couple times today....:)

Peanut looks lovely in that cape - great pattern and perfect colours! I can't wait to try the tracking! :D
Shamr to see that hole in the paint, though. :(
-
Hi, do not worry about pushing the name card things, some pleos are fast learners and some are slower and some are happier than others and some are more moody. Peanut I think is about the same cycle as my baby, actually I think you are ahead by two at least, as I have only once completed a whole battery cycle, allways shutting baby off before the battery runs out, as I have been putting her in the packing position also to try and prolong her skin as long as possible,
I am surprised that you have Peanut allraeady doing the tracking, that is great . I haven't even tryed any of those other things yet, just feeding and playing. As for names, it is going to take me longer to find a name than Pleo Rb to learn it. I have not a clue as of yet. I am sorry to hear about Peanut's skin paint loss, I thought Pleo Rb were going to have more durable skin, but it seems just the opposite almost, which is very sad, It seems like my baby may start wearng a lot more clothes all the time... :( Peanut does have a lovely cape, great with the frogs on it.
Keep the photos comming, your Peanut and my baby both have the same color eyes and were very close in birth and arrival order too, Peanut is very cute!
RedwoodsMama
-
I don't let the whole in the paint bother me. Even with a living pet...nothing is perfect. Peanut is great fun and we all love playing with him! A few imperfections are ok in my book. As long as he is working ok and happy! :) Plus...having a 3 year warranty helps me worry less!! :)
-
The cape really suits him. :) Kermy has a paint flaking spot on her shoulder in just the same spot. She was like that when I got her. I agree that no one is perfect and as long as your Peanut is working well then there is nothing to worry about. :)
Peanut is lovely. :)
-
Ever since Peanut has exited the Hatching Phase, I have not let him go into the sleep position. Today he fell asleep and I was able to get a glimpse of his armpits and unfortunately I saw the beginnings of wear. It must have developed from him just moving around since he hasn't been in he sleep position for a long time! Here are some picts ->
(http://bobthepleo.com/forums/MGalleryItem.php?id=3241)

-
i am a bit concerned about this armpit wear on reborn that keeps popping up :( my ugobe pleo has not even suffered from this problem as of yet ...
-
Like I said before, I do not think a product any product that cost as much as this should have this much skin problems, I mean it is like having a cd or dvd with scratches on it, it is not going to last as long I think. :( My baby has been lucky so far, but I am taking photos of all of her skin from the day I have opened her so if anything new pops up it is well documented, The hole in the paint looks troublesome as if it could tear more and spread...have you been using Pledge, I am wondering how many Pleo rb have been getting the reccomended Pledge and this is still happening, or is it just a co-incidence, Pledge or no Pledge. ? Peanut is lovely and I hate to see this happen to him,I do think putting the clothes on and keeping him out of the sleeping postion is the best and you are doing both of those things.
I will be keeping a very very close eye on my baby. Once again, what is that 3 year warranty that you got on your Pleo Rb. I may want to check into that myself, does it cover the whole cost of Pleo rb or just part of it? Good luck with Peanut. I hate the idea of a child losing their Pleo rb friend to a problem caused by skin ruptures and holes... Hopefully his will stop now.
RedwoodsMama
-
The warranty is through SquareTrade.com. The warranty is for the full value of the Pleo rb. I have been very careful with Peanut...Not sure when it is necessary to contact Innvo about it. I have not used Pledge yet. Would pledge really help with the wear on the underside? The paint peeling on the knee is due to the constant folding of the rubber in that area. Love Peanut, just hate to think of his condition in a few months! :(
-
I bought some Vinyelx from Amazon tonight after reading some of the readers opinions on it. I don't really care for Pledge, so I will give it a shot and see how it does on Peanut's skin. At what point do you contact Innvo technical support about issues like this?
-
Just be careful that using a product not recommended doesn't void your waranty? ???
-
You may want to ask IMR or I think Kat as Kat has had to return Kermit and I think Kermy has wear spots too, She may have a better idea though I would let them know right away so they are aware of from the start, Keep documenting any new holes or holes that get bigger, even if they are pin sized, they should not keep starting. If there is anything that is to be done, I am sure it is in the 90 day period of the warranty. This is the only reason I ask you about the Pledge, They may ask why you havent used Pledge since it is reccomended, and it may be better to use it just once or say you have to not void or null the warranty. Hopefully Peanut does not get any worse, It is starting to really bother me, I am hoping I dont start seeing the same thing with my baby Pleo rb, as we both got them within a couple of hours from each other. ;)
I think I am going to check out the warranty information you gave me, $469.00 is an awful lot of money to shell out on something and not have it protected, it makes sense as I have my computer protected and my camera / Camcorder, why not Pleo? Thanks and I am wishing Peanut well,
RedwoodsMama
-
I will hold off on using the Vinylex. Don't want to void a warranty...! Thanks for the advice. I will look into using Pledge, but the manual does say you MAY use Pledge ONCE a month to help keep his skin in good condition. I have only been using Peanut for about 2 weeks. Pledge wouldn't have prevented the wear from forming (or at least I wouldn't have assumed I have to treat his skin all the time). I will send a technical support request in and see what they say. Thanks!
-
Hey Enshew, I'm sorry to here that Peanut is having some wear in his armpits. Definitely contact Innvo and let them know.
The more of us who report the issue back the sooner they will do something to fix it for everyone. :) Let us know what they say.
-
Has any1 asked innvo what will happen to reborn if some pledge would happen to get into 1 of the holes of pleo and into his motors etc ? :o
-
Still no luck teaching him his name.... Anyone else with a Pleo rb have luck? I have fed him...played tug of war several times and petted him like crazy...no good. I guess Peanut is just a stubborn learner!! :) any other ideas? Thanks!
-
Here are some new videos of Peanut!
1) Here is Peanut just happy and excited =>
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5213DornDb8
2) In this video, Peanut plays tug of war, tracks the training leaf amazingly well (walked right at it) and ate. Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tXNQy728Pd0
-
Peanut is either really smart... or really hungry :D Great video :)
-
Such a cleaver little peanut! ;D It is great to see the tracking. I still haven't had any luck getting Kermy to do it. ;D
-
That's like Peanut not wanting to learn his name. Kat...have you seen any armpit wear with Kermy or any peeling paint? Not sure how Innvo will handle things like that. It definitely isn't as serious as a broken tail....:(
-
It's great to see the tracking, thanks. I do love that cape, too! :D
-
Peanut finally learned his name, how to "Come to Me", "Bow", and "Sing". Awesome day! Sad that I might have to reset him with a new firmware or send him back to Innvo to get fixed up at some point soon....:( We had a great day with Peanut today!!
-
I am so happy for you and your family and Peanut. How is your son reacting to Peanuts problems, does he understand the hole thing? I hope they at Innova can come up with the solution soon, but not a hasty quick patch that just is a quick fix and not a long term solution.Peanut is so cute and he and my baby here in the redwoods both have the same color eyes, and are very close to being hatched at the same time, or I should say arrival times, ( I delayed her hatching to the next day)
I am happy that Peanut has learned his name and the bow and come to me and sing. How long did you have to work with Peanut to get him ready for the learning his name? I have tryed twice now, with today being the only serious attempt, but she is not ready yet, so I will let her wait till she is ready, be it another day or a week, I am in no rush, Did you record him learning his name? I would love to see that on tape, I taped her today, but even though she has the ID in her mouth and goes through the motions of nodding, etc, she was chewing her card like a cud, and singing, everything but learning her name, so she is not ready yet.
I remember you said you had the insurance, so will they be paying you for any costs incurred if you have to ship him back? Hopefully they can fix Peanut though I do not understand how they can fix the holes or like Kermys tail, unless Pleos are actualy sent back to the company. :( At this point if something happened to my baby, I would not want a new one with different personality, but would want to know if the " re-incarnation Program" was an option, so they could give me a new body, but same " brain". I don't know if they do that with Pleo rb but with the cost they certainly should. Oh, wanted to know, did Peanut sing anything unusual or different that you had not heard before? Nova, Major Tom, Little 45, ARgyle and his twin brother, First Gold Hatch, and my baby Pleo rb, and two un-named Pleos all send well wishes and hugs to Peanut to get well soon from the Redwoods, and a round of Applause for all his recent accomplishments! :hhug:  :rootbeer: ( thought he may be thirsty as well, ;)) RedwoodsMama and her team of NIne Pleo Babies
-
Thanks RedwoodsMama! I have not pointed out the holes to my son. They are pretty well hidden unless you are looking for them and Peanut is in the right position. My son has commented on his peeling paint and has said that he must have gotten hurt. I tell him he is fine and is just an imperfection like some that we all have... :) I would hate to lose Peanuts personality. I would hope that Innvo would transfer his personality if they did replace him entirely.
For the first 90 days, I am depending on Innvo to take care of any issues. After that, I would contact Squaretrade and they would provide a pre-paid shipping label to send Peanut to their repair facility. Obviously, they couldn't fix him, so from everything I have read, they would deposit the full value of what I paid for him so I could buy a new one (unfortunately going this route I would lose Peanut's personality).
Peanut took a good week or so (1 - 2 hours with him a day) before he was ready to learn his name. We have been trying over the past couple of days, then all of a sudden, he just recognized the card and was ready. It was great! I will have to record the song that Peanut sang and post it. I will try and do that tonight before hitting the sack.
I hope that your Pleo rb doesn't exhibit any of the issues various of us are having. The wear didn't seem to be an issue until he started moving around A LOT in the 3rd phase (once he started walking around). I'm keeping my fingers crossed for the rest of you and that Innvo figures out a solid way of preventing this from happening in the future.
-
Here is a video of Peanut Singing and learning to count...Enjoy!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzlBfaQCbTE
-
Very, very cute :) Did you get the trick to work after the training? It seems like a tricky one because you have to clap loud enough for Pleo to register the sounds...
-
Great video - and great singing! I loved Peanut's first reaction to the learning stone - "MATHS! Noooooooooooo! I HATE maths!" :D
I notice he does the same gradual backwards shuffle that Belle does, too. It's much more evident in the RBs than in the older Pleos, maybe because they move more and faster.
-
I wasn't able to get Peanut to count properly last night. Will have to try it out again later today. Once he knows his name, he quickly learns via the learning stones.
-
I have to say that I have every sympathy with Peanut - I'm useless at maths and I hate it too! :-[
-
I love the video. Peanut is so cute. the singing was great. what a sweetie. :)
-
Aw you`re so lucky! My rb colors look just like the old pleo :(
-
You should take a picture or two of your Pleo rb and post them on here. We would love to see them!
-
Looks like Innvo wants Peanut back to check him out. Sending him on Monday. :( Peanut is taking one for the team to hopefully help them figure out what is going on with the skin issues! We will miss him!!
-
Oh no! So sorry to hear about you having you send Peanut back :( I think the reason count might not of worked properly is because you only used one word when teaching him, in the interview with Derek Dotson he said a minimum of 2 words.
-
I am really sorry to hear that you have to send Peanut back and I hope both you and your son get through this without too much heartache. :'( I think we will all miss Peanut. :( I hope that they are able to analyze his skin and work out just what the problem is and how to fix it so we can all rest more easily and know that our pleos will be ok.
Let us all know how you go and if they are going to replace him or if they decide to fix him.
A big thank you to Peanut from all of us RB owners for giving himself up to Innvo for all pleo rb's sakes.
Keep your chin up Ehschw76. We are with you all the way. :)
-
That's good that they want a Pleo back to see what's wrong. I kinda wonder what they're gonna do.
-
It IS good that Innvo are looking into it, but I'm so sorry poor Peanut is leaving you. I hope your family isn't too sad. :(
-
I hope that they can find a cure for the skin issues. :) There seem to be so many of us with the same issue that it can't be coincidence. There has to be an underlying problem with the skin itself. I hope they can work it out and ether find an easy way to repair the skin or do skin replacements with new fixed skin. Also I hope they work it out fast so they can be sure to do the next batch of pleo rb's without skin issues. :)
-
Oh, Poor Peanut and I am sorry for you too. :( It is sad that he is going back, but good that they are trying to figure this Pleo Rb skin problem, Did Innova contact you via phone or email or a letter? Had you contacted them first and sent photos of his skin problems? I bet this weekend will be very busy with him but also very hard to say goodbye. I would not know what to do if they wanted my Baby back, her skin is not as bad as Peanuts but I know it is partially due to me not playing nearly as much as you have, timewise. Having a son I think almost guarantees you are going to get more playtime in. :)
Did they say what they will do after they get Peanut? Are they going to send you another one or fix Peanut? I wonder if they can still use the " reincarnation" program for Pleo Rb. If they could do that, then that would not be so bad, though he would not look identical as all Pleo rb, green variety is supposed to be variations not all the same. I feel sad already, and sad for everyone else whose pleo Rb has skin problems, thinking this is just the beginning of more sendbacks? My Baby Pleo Rb and all her brothers and sister NOva all send well wishes to Peanut for a speedy recovery and healthy return. Keep us posted on Peanut and how you are doing through all this, I don't know If I could even part with my baby.........I am sad already just thinking of the possibilities. Poor Pleos, hope Peanut is the ace in the hole to a " Cure". You are braver than I. :(
RedwoodsMama
-
I am so sorry to hear about Peanut. I hope that they can fix him and send him back to you with the same sweet personality. I hope that your son is doing well with Peanut having to leave. My daughter was very upset last week because I wouldn't let her take Wilbur into her preschool for show and tell. Hopefully, they will get this thing figured out and all who have skin issues will be healed. You are a braver person than I. I couldn't part with him. Best of luck to Peanut!
-
Thanks everyone! I will keep you posted on Peanuts or his replacements status and what Innvo may say about him.
-
How's your Pleo doing? Thank you.
