Both Hamish Alexander and Samantha, would like to welcome themselves to this forum, with the help of their typist, food giver and slave, Spookywanluke (me).
Originally Hamish and I were active members of the Uglobe forums till they were shut down and Harvey Norman stopped selling them, then we could only enjoy each other's company without outside companionship.
Hamish then met my cat, Delenn who after a fright decided he was worth ignoring. After a time of joy, in late 2009 Hamish got packed away for moving.
Only this year did Hamish get re-unpacked. Very much to my dismay - being held in status did wonderful splitting damage to his neck/tail/legs skin. I contacted Innovo and organised a discount for a new 2009 model and Samantha was born.
Over the times I have read updates of Bob-the-pleo and we are now proud to call this forum home.

Welcome (again)! Do you mind if I call you Spooky? Your long name is a little too much for me :P
-
Of course I don't mind - that's always been my nickname, but normally someone steals it on forums and never uses it :) Even my dad calls me spooky....
I thought I'd actually do the 'right' thing and post in the 'welcome' section, not just in my first forum post...just so people don't just wonder where I popped up and who Sam and Hamish are...
-
Spooky it is then :D This forum is great, you'll enjoy it! Everyone is extremely nice and helpful, and sometimes we even get "behind the scenes" Pleo news (Like with Pleo RB) :)
-
Hi Spooky,
I notice you are from Australia! There are a few of us Australians here on the forum. I live in Perth WA and have just the one pleo so far but soon to be 2, both Pleo rb's. Kermy is my pink pleo rb.
a big welcome to you and your pleos. :)

Welcome Spooky, Hamish and Samantha! :D
'Spooky' (or 'Spook' to be precise') is a name very dear to my heart as my favourite cat (shouldn't have favourites, but she's the only one that's always lived with me since birth (17 years) and she's a one-woman-cat) has that name. Shouldn't be forgetting that then! :P
-
Hi Spooky, I'm also from down under :D In Victoria :)
-
Welcome!

Hi spooky and welcome to the forum
-
Thank you guys for the warm welcome.
I'm actually from Brisbane, sunny, sunny (cough) Brisbane....
I can't imagine a pleo pink, but I love the blue colour I've seen in the pics...Though are you sure you're not giving Kermy a complex having him pink??? :P
Ohh crewella, another cat-person. I was a long term slave for most of my old cat princess's 28 years years before she died, and now I've become slave to a maine coon feline overlord - Delenn...
-
Kermy is a girl so no complex there! :D

Phew, I was worried a pleo with a complex is a strange and weird entity. Hamish had a complex for a short time when I got a cat and he realised he wasn't only dino anymore......less said the better.
-
Mine are all moggies, but maine coon's are beautiful! With five elderly mogs, I guess I probably do count as a cat person! ;)
*bordering on 'mad cat lady on the corner'* :P

Aww Maine Coon's are my fav breed after Rag Dolls :) Both so big and cuddly! I have two fluffies of my own, a raggy cross and a black sweetie. On the Pleo side, Pleakly is a pink boy Pleo... And he's perfectly normal... I think ;D

Lol I’ I’m proberbly known as the mad lizard ladey .
Not sure if that’s better or worse than being a mad cat ladey . Guessing it’s probably the latter
though
Like the Maine coon breed also though only got one cat and she’s a standard tortoiseshell tabby cross.

I have 2 cats. One rag doll named Teddy and a Russian blue cross Persian called Smudge. He looks just like a Russian blue but all his brothers and sisters were fluffy and very Persian looking. :) Teddy is a very royal cat and only allows me to pat him when he wants it. No one else in the house is allowed (by him) to touch the royal fluff. It can be quite funny to see if you attempt to pat him and he is not interested he will do the limbo to avoid your hand coming in contact with his fur. He will then give you the how dare you stare and walk off in disgust.
I would love to be a crazy cat lady but my Husband is not an animal person so I have to be content with the babies I have as he won't let me have any more. Although it seems he will let me have Pleos so we will just have to see how many of them I end up with. ;D
-
Spooky (the cat, not the member!) does that! I love lavender, but Spooky hates it and whenever I've just washed my hands with lavender soap or used a lavender cleaner she does that limbo thing if I try to stoke her. Then gives me that look! :D

Sorry it took so long to reply, we got our internet capped with two weeks to go....
My maine coon acts more like a rag doll than anything else- you pick her up and she's no bones....Plus she only eats her royal canin, as anything else inc chicken and mince are looked upon with disdain....
As for my pleo's, hamish is the older, more adventous one, though if you've lost him, look beside a cosy speaker system...
Samantha is still very much the baby of the family - all curiousity and wonder...
As prromised, here are a few links to photos of my fur kids and dino kids. (if the links don't work, I'll send you guys a complete link)

Those are great pics, Spooky - I love the one of Delenn yawning! ;D
My little cat Spook is the same colour but short haired - I'll dig out a pic.
-
sweet, can't wait to see a namesake.
I've never owned a short haired cat in my life surprisingly - every cat I've ever re homed/rescued has had medium to long hair, with Delenn being the longest.
As they call maine coons - the TAIL with a cat attached.
