Title: Poem I wrote :)
Post by: Firebreathingsquirrels on December 01, 2010, 07:49:09 PM
Here's a poem I wrote about Aslan the lion from The Chronicles of Narnia. If you're a fan of the books or movies you'll enjoy this poem this most (And it will make the most sense :P)

They say Aslan is drawing nearer.
As he comes closer the sight of flowers and colorful trees is clearer.
The White Witch is preparing by calling upon her minions,
Hoping to make Narnia her new dimionion.

The children travel far and wide to meet him.
On their way they spot Cair Paravel with shining gold around the rim.
They meet Father Christmas and he gives gifts of great power,
Ones that would make their enemies cower.

When they get to Aslan’s camp they see him for the first time,
At first sight they could tell he would never comit a crime.
When he speaks chills run through their spines,
And the richness of it on which their soul it intertwines.

Bright, amber eyes shimmering,
The core of them beautifully glimmering.
These eyes can light up the darkest of nights.
And these eyes can teach wrong from right.

You can tell he loves all creatures big and small,
From the giants that stomp to the ants that crawl.
He is kind to all of them, living with them in peace,
One by one making the enemy count decrease.

His has a long mane that represents a crown,
Consisting of black hair mixed with brown.
He can destroy worlds with one single roar,
But when Aslan comes in sight sorrows will be no more.
