As Kat says it looks truly fab - almost impossible to tell, so you'd never know if not told. Great job. I can see the tube but not read it - what's the paint? ;D

I used Winsor & newton Permanant Green Deep Acrylic, that was mentiond by someone on the forum so thank you to them :)
I have done his whole body so I best post a pic of that too really!

It gives me hope that I can makeover my Buddah boy at home :)
You did a good job! Congratulations!
-
Thank you ;D
I would like to find a light green paint now to touch up the lighter parts of my Pleo. I might go and get the permanent green light in that make and see if I can match it up in any way.
He looks very happy with himself now, pity his personality did not match >:D

Hi Jules
I have found the Windsor& Newton artists paint site. Can you let us know the exact acylic paint used and any code numbers.
You have done a fabulous job, :) :) so I would like to try at some point down the line. Did you do it with just one colour or a mix?
-
Err!! the colour is in the quote lol but just to clarify it is Winsor & Newton Galeria "Permanent Green Deep" Acrylic. ;)
-
I'm glad the paint info I gave helped! Pleo looks great :D
Here you go binbags, if you scroll down you'll find "Green Deep" and you can get it in a 200 ML tube or 500 ML jar :)

binbags as you live in the UK you can get the paint from Hobbycraft shops or here online http://direct.hobbycraft.co.uk/products-Winsor-Newton-Galeria-Acrylic-Colour-60ml-482-Permanent-Green-Deep_40196.htm
I will be going back to get a lighter green or even a yellow to mix so I can get the lighter shade back in my Pleo. I will post the results when i have done it. ;)

Hi Jules and Firebreathingsquirrels
Thanks for your information; the nearest Hobycraft to me is in Stockport, with all this snow at the moment I will not make it. All is not lost though, as we have a fairly large and comprehensive art shop here in Derbyshire. I know that they do all or most artist’s requirements, oil, acrylic or water. Even if they don’t, they should be able to obtain it for me.
I feel like a walk now, so I am off down there. I will let you know later how I went on.

Hi All
I have been down to artist shop, the only Wilson & Newton paints they had were a set of the Galeria acrylic starter set.
This contains 6 colours
Cadmium yellow medium
Cadmium red hue
Ultramarine
Phthalo Green
Yellow ochre
Titanium white
Each tube is 20ml, more than enough to do the job. I also got a tube "Emerald 335" made by Daler-Rowwney acrylic. This is almost the same as the W&N 482 Permanent Green Deep. I will experiment to see what I reproduce in shades.
Jules, did you use the colours neat? I am sure you did. :-\ :-\
-
Yes straight from the tube with a very fine paintbrush ;) You can mix them on a saucer and then them with a little water if necessary!
