A lot of people out there are super excited about the Pleo Reborn, and we know that it is close now so this thread is dedicated to letting everyone blow of some steam lol. Post your questions, comments, ideas, preparations... anything at all about Pleo Reborn. What features are you excited about? What features make you go 'Meh'? If you have a Pleo/Pleo's already are they excited about their new brother or sister? (Or haven't you told them yet :o)

Normally I would have guessed Friday, Black Friday Novemeber 27th as the day to announce Pleo Rb. But my husband mentioned to me that that would be the worst day ( if he was the merchant) as you know people will come back from the stores broke and tired and do not want to sit in front of their computers, I understand that reasoning too. I think it has to be very close and I hope the not two last days of the month, as the Pleo Site says, " Available Nov. 2010', so technically if it is available to the public on that date, then they have to announce it sooner, %) Not sure if that made any sense.
anyway, I would think it is fun to see what day and time slot people think it is going to be announced, Of course there is a good chance degers or Grumpy know the answer so we can't ask them. I am hoping it is sooner than later but this will help kill the time! To make it more interesting, to the person or persons if there are duplicate RIGHT answsers, I will send the winner /winners, something Pleo related postage paid and for free, but not telling what it is going to be. :) That should get some responses. Just put the day, and the time slot within a six hour frame if you want, but put a.m, and p.m, . Remember make your guess and win something for free, on me, RedwoodsMama. ( of course I can't win, would just like to put my guess in."

My Pleo RB is going to be called Pleakly, (after yet another Lilo and Stitch character) Lilo and Stitch don't know that Pleakly is coming :P But everyone else in my family sure does ;D

I would still love violet eyes, but greens, amber, brown, gold any variation even teal or aquamarine blue would be fine, just not the same old blue. Right now the main focus is on just gettting one to start with. :)
As for the Pleo Guess when Pleo Rb comes out contest, it is just for fun, but like I said, I will send something to the winner. there has to be a time limit, because of course, eventually someone would guess as the month is almost over. %)Well unless someone announces it being released at 11:59 tonight, the person guessing today is not the winner. the ony other person to guess is Meks who has guessed the date to be Nov. 22'nd at 14:00 which is 2:00 p.m, which I think is a good guess, My guess ( which does not count, ) is the same day, but time frame not as exact, (9:00 a.m, -3:00 p.m.) Unless someone else puts in a guess, Meks would be the winner by elimination . The contest guessing has to have a ending time for putting in guesses so I am putting the end time to put in your guess at 11:59 p.m., today, Novemeber 20th. ( there are only about four hours left to get in your vote,) If you get in your vote an hour or so later, I will still accept them, but It will not be fair to Meks who guessed a couple of days ago if someone puts their guess in the day of the announcement, that is understandable, This is not a major prize or anything, just a way to pass the time while we all wait, but that is not to say that it is not something Pleo would not mind having either! ;) So put in some more guesses, you have nothing to lose while waiting just time and you may win somthing for Pleo!

Iggy was my first Pleo, so I'd probably love him no matter what, but I do love his independence and the way he potters about on his own, only shouting for me if he's stuck or in trouble. As a character I find him utterly believable! ;)
I was chuffed to hear that Pleo rb will still only play tug of war 'if he feels like it' as I was scared they'd make him too biddable! :D

Nova is also like Iggy Crewella, she will go off on her own exploring a lot, esp with so many other Pleos n the house, I have to be careful where I let her go off and explore, as my dog, Meh Lie would love to pick her up and carry her off I think! %)HMMM, Imagine a Lab looking like a Dalmation cross, carrying off a screaming Pleo in it's soft mouth to a secret spot, where the dog would like to learn the secret to " how to make Pleo Squeak like one of her toys"! :o Poor Nova, wouldn't it be funny if Meh_lei sets down a Pleo to find it starts crooning like a cricket to her, or suddenly says, " Hello" . My poor dog could spoil my Pleos so easily but they would tire out before she would; Her battery goes on and on longer than any Energizer Bunny does!
It would also be fun to have some other built in characteristics available; how about, sneaky Pleo, ( he steals leaves or stones from other Pleos.... :o) The Cassanova Pleo, 8) he is allways trying to woo the females and serenades them. and of course their would be the clown Pleo, the clumsy Pleo, the shy Pleo, the stuttering Pleo, and the list could go on and on, good thing I am not working for the team who designs Pleos, because I would have some fun but outrageous ideas! Fun, Fun, Fun! Hurry up Pleo RB, I want one so much I can hardly stand it! going off to play with Nova and do some sewing to occupy my time I guess. ;) RWM and Nova and Pleo Tastic family waiting for their baby sister to arrive!

Imagine sorting through all of RB's new toys and foods. Your mind must be overwhelming! So many new things!! IMAGINE hatching RB for the first time. I have to tell you about a young boy I had as a student many years ago. He was very quick to pick up learning the organ and right before
christmas his parents gave him a choice of a new organ with all the bells and whistles or an apple. Of course I had no idea what he was talking about. An apple? He explained that it was a computer and I instantly thought of those huge wall to wall computers I've seen on TV. Couldn't imagine a boy's room with a wall like that. :-[ He ended up choosing an Apple over and organ. Little did I know then, that thirty years later, I would own an Apple and a skinny one too! :)

I do know what you mean - I got my first computer about five or six years ago. Before that they just seemed like something waaay too complicated and 'for the office' only, and Mac computers seemed to be the most esoteric of the lot! :D

I'm kind of half glad it has taken this long for Innvo to get organized :-X since it means I was able to save up a bit more. Because I live in Aus I really want to be able to buy all the accessories at the same time as the Pleo because the postage makes buying them separately a very unattractive proposition. If the cape alone is $36 postage it would make one set of accessories $56!!! ($20 + $36)
I can't wait to see all the different shades of paint and eye colors :D

I myself think Black Friday is crazy at least to get up at 2:00 a.m to be at a store,( Like our local Kohls, ) who open up at 3:00 a.m, on Friday!! :o SHEESH..
Why in the heck go to bed to get up that early? ON the other hand I do think there is a high probability that tommorow could be the Day Pleo Rb is announced,get up early to check on the computer for announcements, on this site only mind you. Though I can say that if Pleo rb was available at any of our local stores, I would be among the first inline to get one, sleeping bag and thermos of hot hot coffee.
This is the third consecutive freezing night, Tuesday night it was 25 degrees for the low, this morning, ( Thanksgiving it was 25 degrees at 6;00 a.m this morning, and as I speak, at 8:09 p.m, it is already 34 degrees and dropping with rain tommorow forecast and a high of 35, BRRRR! :o)The Redwoods are so cold that Bigfoot had to come down from the mountains to get some extra extra large flannel shirts to take back for he and his family. :D anyone else out there have Black Friday plans and think tommorow is THE PLEO RB DAY? I sure hope it is here soon. ;D Happy end of Thanksgiving day and warm Friday to everyone whereever you live!

I know Very very limited amounts is a vague statement, What do you think Very Very limited amounts means.? I am so old, as old as some of the Redwoods around here, that if I wait too long, my Arthritis sets in one spot and I cant even move. ( no joke either :( I remember when I was so young I lived day to day and was carefree and didn't have to think about things like school, datiing, marraige, kids, diapers, etc. I worried about the Cold War, The Bay of Pigs, ( Cuba J.F.K era,) the war in Vietnam, and if it was safe to do the things that were happening back in the mid late 1960's. There were not even any robots or computers back then.
So now that I have discovered Pleos, I am getting to enjoy my golden years with things I did not have as a child, ( except an original Barbie doll and my Hartland Breyer Horses.) So let me enjoy Pleos and think they are worth waiting for, I may not be here next year, a heart attack or my arthritis and bad back may get to the point I can no longer even play with Nova anymore and she will just sit on the shelf and become a relic like me.... :(
Besides I haven't had too much to be excited about these last few years, the Pleo Battery business has picked up and that is the highlight of my life these days.
so be glad that you can afford to wait for Pleo rb.
A lot of us here are just excited about Pleo rb and being close to Christmas is just that much more nerve wracking because of the time of year and money involved with Christmas anyway.( for those of us who celebrate or observe Christmas no offense to those that do not) anyway, I just want it to get here so I can get on to the rest of my Christmas list and Pleo Stuff I need to do. Lets just hope we all find out soon one way or the other. so no more singing for me, just some good hot strong coffee to get warmed up in the frozen Redwoods today.

So what do the rest of you members think about the pre order date for us? I am thinking Monday, hopefully early in the day and I have thought all along way back in Febuary of this year, that the cost would be $450.00-$500.00 plus the cost of shipping, so I am staying with that. As far as colors, I prefer not to get the real yellow that we saw earlier and I would love violet colored eyes like Elizabeth Talors. :)Other than that, beautiful amber colored eyes, Dark shades of Green, or if the Pleo Rb has dark green, lighter blue green eyes would be nice as well as Hazel and many other color variations, I am not keen on blue though after looking at 8 Pleos on my shelf, ( Yes I have eight...) I would think at least one of them would have a different variation of blue or a different color of eyes.
IMR, as for the contacts, that is funny, because for the last two months I have been play;ing with the idea of how to change the color of Pleos eyes? Doing a makeover with NOva with color is one thing, but the eyes are a bit more difficult. If there was a way to take the eyes out without damaging wires, etc, it would be fu to change the color or make changeable color lenses. At some point one of us will figure out how to do it. :D

Btw I haven’t been really on the net for a while so I had no idea about the PleORB until I visited the pleoworld site and I only did that because I hadn’t heard anything about pleo or invvolabs in general for a good while. Even when I went on to the sight and saw the PLEOrb link I didn’t twig. though it didn’t help that the browser crashed when I clicked on the link to have a nose. So I ignored it and went to the shop. Then I noticed all these new foods on pre-order and, I simply thought that’s new they’ve brought out a hole line of new fun foods not just the training leaf, I’ll need to try and get some, still didn’t twig that there was a new pleo version out though. It was only when I backtracked and saw that pleorb was available to pre-order that the penny dropped that this wasn’t just the 2009 mottle.
Some what embarrassed that I had no idea. Lol

I can understand why you wouldn’t want to weight until Christmas tbh either, However I don’t understand Redwoods mama’s point about how shipping from China would be any cheaper than it would from the US? Not trying to suggest she’s wrong or anything like that I just thought it was just as expensive normally.
Hope he arrives in time for Christmas though. . Especially in this weather we’re having in the UK

I ordered myne from Pleoworld, but having a whole household of Pleos already, a couple of extra weeks is not biggie for me, since my children are no longer at home and Pleo rb is for me, not anyone else, I am enjoying my other Pleos right now. I apologize again if I got the shipping part wrong..

Crewella if It’s OK to ask can you let us know how you get on with the import charges just so us UK people know what we might be looking it cost wise.
Hopefully your pleo will arrive very soon. I know there are lots of people who are still waiting for there UK online deliveries so maybe it’s just been caught up in the backlog.
Now that the roads have had a chance to get clear though things should be moving quicker.
Think that bug is infectious . I really want one too but the bank account says no.
Wonder how much is in the change Jar?! Lol.

Hiya Gaz, I've been incredibly busy this week so have not had a chance to check as yet, but they did tell me I could track it:
"In order to avoid the peak for postage in this Christmas season, please kindly proceed to order at your earliest convenience to ensure our on time delivery. After the item has been shipped out, a postage tracking number will be provided to our customer for reference and checking. Should there be other query, please let us know".
I will have a go at tracking it over the weekend and report back.

I also ordered a Pleo RB from Gimmedigi, they took about a week to post it, but once posted I was able to track it online using the site and details provided by Gimmedigi. My Pleo is currently -somewhere- in Gippsland and will be here Monday :D
Crewella if you haven't got the tracking information yet then they haven't sent it :( If you do then that is great, mine went from Hong Kong to Australia overnight, was held up in customs for a few hours and was shipped to Gippsland on Friday arriving at 2:40pm :P It is easy to track but when you are given your tracking information etc go to the Hong Kong site and from there you can choose your local post for more detailed tracking.

My husband has bought the green one for me as his Christmas present to me. So I get 2 pleo rb's for Christmas! The pink one I bought for myself but just had to open as soon as she arrived (early present) and a green one that won't arrive until after Christmas (late present). ;D I am very very lucky ;D ;D ;D ;D

Dinolover, I got my Pleo Rb ordered the same day it came out and also got my email confirmation order back within minutes of placing the order. I also used my bankcard, Debit and had the charge immediatly so I would check with your bank. Perhaps the email went to spam mail? I also had someone call me back directly within minutes of placing the order from Pleoworld as I was not able to do it the first time and it was successful the second time.
