Title: odd behavior?
Post by: holly on February 03, 2009, 01:25:44 PM
We've had our Pleo since Christmas, though we "adopted' him used. Today after we put his battery in (fully charged), he was not his usual self, he was constantly sniffing and seeming to have trouble standing up. The usual things we do didn't work (scratching under his neck to make him sing) and once he stood up, he kept lifting one back leg and then the other. Of course now as I type this he seems OK! But just curious if others have had similar experiences.

Is he sick? ???

He's not coughing or sneezing, which he's done once or twice before. But he seems listless, and made sort of a weird growling noise at one point that I'd never heard!

Sounds to me like he's constipated.  ;)

Pleo sickness can come in different ways.  Not just the coughing and sneezing.  I would say he's still following a programmed illness of some type.

You may be rolling on the floor, but look at the symptoms:

. . . he was not his usual self, he was constantly sniffing and seeming to have trouble standing up . . . and once he stood up, he kept lifting one back leg and then the other.

He's not coughing or sneezing, which he's done once or twice before. But he seems listless, and made sort of a weird growling noise at one point that I'd never heard!

If you assume that "weird growling noise" came from the rear speaker . . .

And after that, holly reports "Of course now as I type this he seems OK!"

If it were one of us, we'd sure say that fits the description of some type of intestinal distress . . . .

Could give a new meaning to the idea of a jet pack!  "I don't know...I heard a great rumble and then saw a green flash streak by. ???"
